Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2755: Chapter 1958: Arduous Task

Let Zhenbei Group help with the restart of the power plant, who came up with that idea? Kustiel’s move is really slick.

It makes people gasp in disbelief and can’t help but give a thumbs-up and say ”impressive.”

Just imagine, a global financial conglomerate with subsidiaries as numerous as stars, covering all sorts of industries, all-encompassing, and having vast business networks. Once it goes all out, if not omnipotent, it would come close, and it can achieve results in the shortest time.

Even Bai Xiaosheng internally sighed, truly ”smart.”

However, Bai Xiaosheng didn’t immediately agree but pondered silently.

In fact, he was using this opportunity to have Red Lotus conduct a search—

To analyze the scale of Kustiel’s power plant, the total static investment back then, calculate how much it would cost to replace all equipment, and also find the maintenance cost of the main equipment.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng’s silence, Santos immediately said, ”Mr. Bai, are you considering? Can you make the decision on this matter, or do you need to report to your group’s higher-ups and hold a meeting for several days?”

”We don’t have that much time to wait.” Santos’s tone clearly carried a hint of sarcasm.

Just now, he himself also went to report to his superiors, regardless of whether it was true or false.

This time Bai Xiaosheng’s turn, he was somewhat mocking; this double standard is quite sharp.

Bai Xiaosheng did not respond to this remark.

Santos seemed a bit impatient, ”If Mr. Bai can’t make the decision, then forgive us for not staying. But in this matter, you should prepare for the worst.”

As he spoke, Santos even pretended to get up and leave.

”Mr. Santos, Mr. Bai can make the decision! There’s no need to report to the group; please hold on!” Fei’er hastily said seeing this.

Kustiel’s port construction had been halted for too long, accumulating a pile of troubles, not to mention the astonishing daily costs due to the halt.

One can say it really can’t be dragged on anymore.

Otherwise, the Sixth Business Division wouldn’t have invited Bai Xiaosheng to solve the problem right away.

”If you agree, you just need to sign a guarantee, and the port construction can immediately resume. Once the power plant is successfully restarted, there will be no issues with the port contract.”

Santos looked at Fei’er and said sternly, ”If you don’t agree, we’ll start the investigation process and close that project for at least half a year!”

”Half a year?!” Fei’er was shocked and exclaimed, ”How can this be!”

If the port project is closed for half a year, it will become a heavy burden on the Sixth Business Division, like a mountain pressing on its parent company.

The consequences are unimaginable!

Beside her, Mollya also showed a panicked look in her eyes; regardless of her feelings towards her mother, she definitely did not wish to see that happen.

If handled poorly, even her family’s business could be dragged down.

”This is something unavoidable; personally, I hope I can help you, but unfortunately...” Santos glanced at Bai Xiaosheng.

Santos directly handed the responsibility over to Bai Xiaosheng.

Fei’er looked at Bai Xiaosheng urgently, seeing his delayed reaction, she decided, ”Mr. Santos, we agree to Kustiel’s conditions!”

”Oh?” Santos looked at Fei’er with a half-smile, then glanced at Bai Xiaosheng, ”Miss Fei’er, can your word be counted?”

Fei’er found herself speechless for a moment, looked towards Bai Xiaosheng, and whispered urgently, ”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, you were sent by the group to help our Sixth Business Division, this trouble can’t remain unresolved!”

”Mr. Bai, say something,” Mollya couldn’t help but speak up.

Beside them, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying slightly frowned, their gaze showed some dissatisfaction as they glanced at the sisters.

In negotiations, for one’s own people to turn against each other and persuade their sides in front of outsiders is taboo.

Under Fei’er and Mollya’s urging, Bai Xiaosheng came back to his senses and looked at Santos.

”They have already agreed. Mr. Bai, don’t tell me, you’re refusing. If you do, it will be interesting. You came to us with differing opinions, but claiming you’re here sincerely to solve the problem!”

Santos’s eyes narrowed, his gaze sharp.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at Fei’er and Mollya, then looked at Santos and smiled, ”We agree to these conditions.”

This statement made Fei’er and Mollya breathe a sigh of relief, and also made the unfriendly-eyed Santos instantly smile ”satisfied.”

”Isn’t this great, we truly hope to continue cooperating with Zhenbei Group.” Santos said with a smile.

While speaking, Santos raised his hand, and someone beside him handed over a document.

Santos took it and handed it to Bai Xiaosheng, ”This is a guarantee. Once signed, your port project can restart in the shortest time.”

Bai Xiaosheng took the document and skimmed through it.

This ”guarantee” had stringent terms, ensuring the normal operation of the power plant for the port project to not face liability.

Otherwise, the investigation would restart.

Given that they agreed, Bai Xiaosheng, after confirming the clause’s content, no longer hesitated and signed his name on it.

Santos took back the document, satisfied with his smile, ”Then let’s patiently wait for good news from Mr. Bai.”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”Regarding the port, I ask Mr. Santos to take care of it, hoping the project can restart soon.”

”Of course, of course.” Santos smiled.

With the matter settled, Bai Xiaosheng politely declined Mr. Santos’s symbolic invitation to stay and left with the others.
