Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2769: Chapter 1964: Agreed 3

Bai Xiaosheng looked at him with certainty, ”In Huaxia, there’s a saying, ’The deceased are gone, the living must live on.’ Those who have passed are already gone, and the living should strive to live well every day, so that the departed souls can find peace in another world. Besides, in this world, we still have people we care about, don’t we.”

Bai Xiaosheng snapped his fingers.

Rogge’s throat bobbed, and he raised his hand to wipe the tears from the corners of his eyes, ”I think you’re right.”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”Actually, what I want to discuss privately with you is about Mr. Tieluoga.”

Hearing Tieluoga’s name, Rogge perked up.

Although Tieluoga was not his biological son, over the years, he had poured all his emotions into him, and it was as if he were even more than a biological son.

For Tieluoga, he would do anything.

”Mr. Tieluoga’s business is in trouble, as you’ve seen, those debt collectors won’t let it go easily. Even if we fend them off once, there will be a second and even third time,” Bai Xiaosheng said, ”So, I think you shouldn’t stay here for the time being. Even if you don’t solve the power station issue directly, you should move out of here. I have some connections with Kustiel and will ask them to intervene with those people during this period.”

”Besides, I want to help Mr. Tieluoga restart his business.”

Bai Xiaosheng learned from Xie Ding merchant Leifer that the spices revered here are not scarce in Huaxia, so he could help Tieluoga.

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng was also interested in the business; opening another company wouldn’t be bad.

This could be considered a win-win.

Rogge looked at Bai Xiaosheng and nodded repeatedly.

He was now fully awake.

Bai Xiaosheng not only comforted him, helped him heal his heart, and face life.

He also solved Tieluoga’s debt collector problem and wanted to restart his business, and he had saved Tieluoga twice before.

Rogge sincerely felt that they owed Bai Xiaosheng too much.

Without any inner barriers, Rogge held Bai Xiaosheng’s hand and earnestly said, ”Perhaps you are right; I shouldn’t always avoid it! I should stand up and repair that power station using my methods, and present it to the public; that is the correct path not to fail my wife and son!”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled and gently patted the old man’s hand, ”It’s entirely up to you.”

...

In the living room, Tieluoga was accompanying Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, drinking tea and chatting.

However, mid-conversation, they suddenly heard a faint, strange sound.

”What is that sound?” Tieluoga couldn’t help but look back, murmuring, ”How does it sound like crying to me.”

Lin Weiwei also looked puzzled, glancing at Lei Ying. Lei Ying looked straight toward the study.

Lin Weiwei immediately understood.

Lei Ying winked at her again.

When Tieluoga turned back, Lei Ying had already returned to normal, sipping coffee and smiling, ”Maybe it’s the wind.”

”Really? I’ve grown up here; how have I never heard it before?” Tieluoga muttered.

”This house has been around for a while; maybe it’s aging, or there are gaps, making a little wind sound like a whimpering noise,” Lin Weiwei said with a smile.

Tieluoga could only nod, but after a while, the sound indeed faded away.

Tieluoga then forgot about it and continued chatting with the two.

After some time, they heard a ”creak” of the door latch from the study, and Tieluoga turned to see his father and Bai Xiaosheng emerging.

Compared to when they went in, the old and the young appeared incredibly close.

As they walked over, Tieluoga curiously noted that his father’s eyes were slightly red and a bit swollen.

”What happened to you?” Tieluoga asked curiously.

Rogge waved his hand, smiling, ”It doesn’t matter anymore. Compared to that, what I want to tell you is that I’ve agreed with Mr. Bai Xiaosheng to lead the restoration of the tidal power station!”

Tieluoga looked at his father in surprise.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, however, were thrilled.

They didn’t expect Bai Xiaosheng to change Rogge’s mind in less than an hour.

Rogge agreed!
