Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2774: Chapter 1966: Reinforcements Arrive One After Another (Part 2)

”Sure, sure, how about the evening after tomorrow? I’ll organize a dinner party and you can come over to meet everyone,” Leifer inquired.

Bai Xiaosheng thought for a moment, ”I will coordinate in advance with Mr. Santos to ensure there’s no scheduling conflict.”

Upon hearing Santos’ name, Bai Xiaosheng noticeably sensed that Leifer on the other end seemed to swallow hard, seemingly surprised.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled silently.

He was using Santos’ name to rattle the cage, so those people wouldn’t be tactless and cause trouble at that time.

The smoother this goes, the better. Bai Xiaosheng no longer wanted any more complications here.

”Once the location is set, I’ll send you the address. We look forward to your presence,” Leifer politely said to Bai Xiaosheng.

With that, the matter wrapped up, and after finishing their conversation, they hung up the phone.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were listening nearby, and after Bai Xiaosheng put away his phone, they asked about the situation.

As it was getting late, Bai Xiaosheng said, ”Let’s find a place to eat first, talk while we eat, and then go back to get a good night’s sleep; today has been really tiring.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded in agreement.

The three of them found a place to have dinner and discuss matters.

After the meal, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying had a basic understanding of the situation, and the three of them set off for a five-star hotel in Lares.

Fei’er and Mollya were also there, and the rooms were booked under the company’s name.

Once at the hotel, Bai Xiaosheng and the other two went their separate ways to their respective rooms.

Soon after, Fei’er and Mollya came over, running to Bai Xiaosheng’s place.

They were very curious about how Bai Xiaosheng found the person in charge of the hydroelectric station restoration and wanted to inquire in detail.

Bai Xiaosheng briefly made excuses.

Fei’er was not satisfied.

Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t in the mood to satisfy her curiosity, saying only that he was too tired and then issued a polite dismissal.

The two women, though reluctant, understood and left.

After seeing them off, Bai Xiaosheng went to wash up and then fell onto the bed, unable to get up.

Tired, truly tired.

That night, Bai Xiaosheng slept soundly.

The next day, Bai Xiaosheng got up early, went for a morning run, and then met with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying for breakfast at the restaurant.

When the three were almost done eating, Fei’er and Mollya finally arrived, finding them.

”How come you’re up so early and not sleeping in?” Fei’er greeted Bai Xiaosheng and the others, unable to help muttering.

”I thought you were exhausted yesterday, but you’re up early today,” Mollya added.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”I’ve gotten used to it, early to bed and early to rise is good for health, and today’s schedule is quite packed.”

At the mention of the schedule, Fei’er immediately perked up, sitting closer to Bai Xiaosheng.

”What arrangements are there, do we need to do anything?”

Yesterday, Fei’er didn’t glean any substantial information from Bai Xiaosheng, so she wanted to tag along today.

Bai Xiaosheng was not keen on having them tag along, nor were Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

”I’ve already thought it through,” Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”Over at the port project, some affairs need attention. Miss Mollya, it will be your task to oversee and keep in touch with us. As for the restoration of the tidal power station, we need many workers and various resources, which requires close contact with Mr. Santos and Kustiel’s side. I believe that would be best for Miss Fei’er to handle.”

Bai Xiaosheng had indeed arranged things quite clearly.

”What about you guys?” Fei’er couldn’t help asking.

”Us? We’ll be heading to the hydroelectric station, assisting the old engineer I found. It’s hard and tedious work; you saw how exhausted the three of us were yesterday, it’s no easy task,” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded in agreement.

”It’s okay, I don’t mind hard work. How about I go with you to the power station in the morning and then visit Mr. Santos in the afternoon?”

Fei’er was determined to go with Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

Bai Xiaosheng’s expression turned serious.

”Miss Fei’er, you have your tasks! You must handle them promptly and properly; we can’t afford delays to the overall progress, I’m required to make commitments here. If you insist on not following my arrangements, then I can only ask Mrs. Margery to send someone else over!”

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng serious and no longer speaking politely, Fei’er had no choice but to give up.

Lin Weiwei listened keenly from the side.

Seeing that woman just now trying to get close to Bai Xiaosheng, speaking coyly, she really didn’t like it.

The slight good impression she had from shopping had long vanished.

As soon as Fei’er and Mollya had their breakfast served, Bai Xiaosheng and his companions had finished eating, and after bidding goodbye, they left.

Watching their backs, Fei’er furrowed her brows and let out a sigh of frustration.

Mrs. Margery sent them not just to assist Bai Xiaosheng, but also with the intent to supervise.

But Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t a fool, deftly assigning them tasks, leaving them with no options.

”What should we do now?” Mollya asked.

She wasn’t oblivious and naturally understood her mother’s intentions.

”Eat!” Fei’er said sullenly, ”Then we’ll finish the tasks given to us as quickly as possible. I want to see what excuses he has to ditch us then!”

Mollya nodded in agreement.

Leaving the pair behind, Bai Xiaosheng and his team once again headed to the island where the tidal power station was located.

The journey was silent.

When they arrived at the power station, Bai Xiaosheng and his team found that old Rogge and his son had already arrived early.
