Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2753: Chapter 1956: Advancing Step by Step (Part 2)

Mr. Santos stared at Bai Xiaosheng; in his eyes, this young Asian man was calm and composed, truly impressive!

Things like aura and demeanor can be faked to some extent, but to the discerning eye, their authenticity is immediately apparent and unmistakable.

The robust and flawless charisma displayed by Bai Xiaosheng made Mr. Santos admire him.

Therefore, after just a few seconds of imposing eye contact, Mr. Santos recognized the man before him.

However, regarding Mr. Santos’ proactive approach for a handshake, both Fei’er and Bai Xiaosheng noticed that he was being a bit ”overenthusiastic.”

”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, I’ve actually heard of your reputation.” During the handshake, Santos smiled and said, ”We have had quite a few business dealings with Oshan. Last year, I visited Oshan with a group visit. Although I didn’t see Chief Bai Xiaosheng, I’ve heard of you.”

This statement immediately cleared Bai Xiaosheng’s confusion.

No wonder!

Beside him, Fei’er and the Mollya Sisters widened their eyes looking at Bai Xiaosheng, surprised that his reputation was helpful even here.

”I welcome Mr. Santos to visit my territory when possible.” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile, ”However, right now I’m not any Chief Bai Xiaosheng of Oshan; I’m a Business President of the Zhenbei Group, here to resolve differences between both sides.”

Santos praised, ”Chief Bai, no, Mr. Bai’s humility is truly admirable.”

”Not at all, it’s only proper.” Bai Xiaosheng replied with a smile.

Seeing the two being polite and warm to each other, Fei’er and Mollya felt overwhelmed with joy.

It looked like this negotiation was bound to be smooth and successful.

”Come, Mr. Bai, please have a seat.”

”Mr. Santos, please sit down!”

Bai Xiaosheng and Santos exchanged polite words again.

Then the two returned to the conference table, sitting opposite each other, nodding and smiling before taking their seats.

However, once seated, both restrained their smiles.

Fei’er, Mollya, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying sat on either side of Bai Xiaosheng.

On Santos’ side, four associates also sat down, perfectly aligned.

”Mr. Bai, although I’ve long admired your reputation and am delighted to meet you today, I must fulfill my responsibilities, and we should proceed as usual with our discussions.” Santos said with a smile.

”That’s exactly what I wish for, Mr. Santos. Feel free to speak frankly, it’s better for both parties to communicate and resolve the issues together.” Bai Xiaosheng also smiled and said.

Fei’er and Mollya suddenly felt a strange shift in the atmosphere.

Santos restrained his smile and remained somewhat courteous, ”Mr. Bai, the port project undertaken by your subsidiary under Zhenbei Group suffered severe damage due to the tsunami. We seriously suspect the quality of your project and demand an immediate and indefinite halt for our investigation.”

”If necessary, we may replace your building team with a local construction company.”

”Given the major issues before project completion, we are considering initiating the termination of cooperation procedures and reclaiming your fifty-year usage rights to the port.”

”If our investigation indeed reveals serious quality problems, we will consider holding your group company accountable...”

Just moments ago, Santos was extremely friendly to Bai Xiaosheng, yet suddenly he issued harsh words without any consideration.

The speed and naturalness of his change in demeanor were astonishing.

Fei’er instantly became serious, feeling her heart sinking.

Next to her, Mollya was caught off guard with the emotional shift and looked at Bai Xiaosheng with a hint of nervousness.

Nonetheless, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying seemed accustomed to such situations, showing no change in their expressions.

Bai Xiaosheng remained calm, still wearing a smile, and reached out his hand.

Lin Weiwei seemed to understand, handing over the prepared documents.

Bai Xiaosheng held the documents one by one, passing them over, ”These are inspection reports from reputable companies in Europe, this one is from North America, both internationally recognized as authoritative. Their evaluation concludes that the project quality is completely reliable, even above excellent standards.”

”As for ’severe damage,’ here is our damage report, here are field photos; we are not liable for these four words, Mr. Santos, you’ve overstated it. When you’re free, you can visit the site for a stroll and see for yourself.”

Bai Xiaosheng held a document with a smile and said, ”Also, regarding the port lease contract termination clauses, the current situation doesn’t seem applicable. I have a lawyer friend who specializes in these international cases. However, we businessmen certainly can’t compete with Kustiel, that would be a fool’s errand. But, when a lion beats a rabbit, it’s not commendable; it tarnishes the lion’s reputation. Kustiel is an Oceania jewel, we couldn’t possibly let it be stained, right.”

Bai Xiaosheng responded confidently and methodically, presenting sound arguments.

Fei’er looked at Bai Xiaosheng, somewhat mesmerized, but quickly focused on Santos’ reaction.

Mollya couldn’t help silently clenching her fists, quietly cheering for Bai Xiaosheng’s responses.

Santos gazed at Bai Xiaosheng, with a hint of a smile, ”It sounds quite reasonable. Each of these documents demonstrates your efforts; we’re reasonable too. However, regarding the inversion of your project’s construction process, that’s indisputable, right? Mr. Bai wouldn’t want to produce another report to tell me there’s no problem, would you?”

Bai Xiaosheng immediately shook his head, sincerely admitting, ”This is indeed our issue, we accept responsibility. Now, we’re here to solve the problem.”

Bai Xiaosheng reached out, and Lei Ying handed him another document.

Bai Xiaosheng handed it to Santos, ”We will increase our investment, clean up the site as soon as possible, expand personnel recruitment, estimated to provide Kustiel with three to four thousand new employment opportunities, and also actively connect with Kustiel’s upstream and downstream companies to quickly help them resume production... This is a comprehensive plan.”

Santos listened, eyes flickering slightly, studied the document.

Beside him, the Fei’er Sisters watched Bai Xiaosheng in shock.

They didn’t know this document existed.

Could it be Bai Xiaosheng prepared it himself before this visit?

Simply unbelievable!

However, after the shock, Fei’er worried.

Bai Xiaosheng hadn’t further requested information from them, nor contacted the construction site manager; could his proposal satisfy Santos?

Santos is known for his meticulousness, if he finds any imperfections, he tends to magnify them infinitely.

Fei’er cautiously observed Santos’ response.

Eventually, she saw Santos nod slightly, seemingly quite agreeing with Bai Xiaosheng’s proposal.

Only then did Fei’er feel relief.

She didn’t know Bai Xiaosheng’s capability, his extraordinary ability to acquire and analyze hard-to-find information, nor was she aware of the Sixth Business Division’s investigative data at the construction site stored on the group’s network which Bai Xiaosheng could directly access with his credentials, not needing to visit the site.

”This proposal is indeed excellent.” Even Santos admitted after placing down the document.

”Although this was a rare tsunami, beyond our control, indeed our issue was the construction order, so to express apology, we can make extra contributions to Kustiel while the port cooperation remains unchanged.” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Fei’er’s eyes flickered at these words.

Everyone could see that Kustiel was holding onto the construction error to gain greater benefits.

The common thought was to make amends regarding the project.

Bai Xiaosheng, however, took the money intended to be invested, and made separate moves, ensuring total cooperation on the port remains intact, without reducing the overall investment.

This thinking was incredibly unique!

Fei’er was somewhat convinced.

No wonder this young man became a Business President and a Chief!

Mollya, quick-witted as she was, soon realized this and quietly gave Bai Xiaosheng a thumbs up.

Santos shrugged, saying to Bai Xiaosheng with a smirk, ”You really showed me Mr. Bai’s prowess. It’s the first time someone has convinced me so quickly. Well then, please wait a moment, I need to report upward!”

This matter has potential!

Fei’er and others felt joyous.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled subtly, gesturing invitingly.

”Mr. Santos, I await your good news.”
