Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2784: Chapter 1970: Two Pieces of Good News (3)

Leifer and several spice giants, needless to say, were surrounded by people.

Even Tieluoga, the soon-to-be general manager of the Lingxiang Group, was no exception.

Many people were eager to communicate with them, hoping to make a connection.

Tieluoga, while smiling and handling the enthusiastic crowd, lamented that his situation was like having one foot on the ground and one in the sky; those who were indifferent to him just now were now desperately showing respect.

Speaking of which, he had Bai Xiaosheng to thank, yet now he was surrounded by people and couldn’t even catch a glimpse of Bai Xiaosheng, not knowing where he had gone.

At this moment, Bai Xiaosheng had returned to the lounge, enjoying some peace and quiet.

The power station issue was progressing smoothly, and the repair work was ahead of schedule.

Santos had checked it twice, claiming that if the situation continued to be favorable, they could start work at the port immediately.

Solving the port issue meant that the troubles of the Sixth Business Division were also resolved.

For the follow-up matters, Bai Xiaosheng decided to leave them to others and move on to the next location to put out fires.

On the Lingxiang Group’s side, Bai Xiaosheng planned to have Zhengdong Province send capable assistants to help support Tieluoga.

Of course, Leifer, Auston, and others would also take care and make sure nothing went wrong.

Tieluoga was good at learning and had potential, and maybe by the next meeting, he would be capable of handling things independently and fully competent in his duties.

Bai Xiaosheng thought about the upcoming matters while drinking.

Just then, the door to the lounge was pushed open, and someone walked in.

His train of thought interrupted, Bai Xiaosheng looked up and found it was Auston.

”Mr. Bai, I knew you were here.” Auston said with a smile, sitting opposite Bai Xiaosheng.

”Why isn’t Mr. Auston enjoying the hustle and bustle outside? Are you here to see me for something?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile.

Judging from Auston’s expression, Bai Xiaosheng had some guesses.

However, Bai Xiaosheng was a bit curious about what else Auston wanted to say to him.

Auston glanced at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

Those two tactfully left the room.

Only then did Auston lean forward and smile at Bai Xiaosheng, saying, ”Actually, since I learned of your identity, there’s something I’ve wanted to ask for your help with.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s mind stirred.

He also recalled that Auston’s expression back then was a bit unusual, but he was too busy dealing with everyone to think deeply about it.

”So what is it that Mr. Auston needs my help with?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with interest, smiling.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng was so approachable, Auston smiled and lowered his voice, ”You are one of the absolute top executives of the Zhenbei Group. This isn’t difficult for you. Right now, we’re part of an alliance, and I’m about to invest in the Lingxiang Group’s shares, so we’re not outsiders.”

Bai Xiaosheng looked at him quietly, waiting for him to continue.

”My family doesn’t only deal in spices; we have other businesses as well, and they’re doing quite well, not small operations. In the country where my family’s island is located, your Zhenbei Group also has many businesses there.” Auston started with this information.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t rush, continuing to listen patiently.

Auston gave Bai Xiaosheng a meaningful look and smiled, ”However, the subsidiaries of your group are a bit too... excessive in their dealings. I don’t mean anything by it; don’t get me wrong. I’m just saying that whenever they have external tenders, we local businesses are always just escorts, and the contracts ultimately always go to a subsidiary under the same family. Now that we’re not outsiders to each other, can we also share part of the collaboration?”

Auston’s words couldn’t be put on the table and could only be discussed in private.

Upon hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng’s smile slightly stiffened.

What Auston described sounded like insider dealings.

”Do you know which family they ultimately give the business to?” Bai Xiaosheng asked, maintaining his composure.

Auston lowered his voice, ”It’s a family from North America. I heard that their Carolyn is even a major regional head in your group!”
