Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2777: Chapter 1967: High-End Gathering (Part 2)

Tieluoga’s face looked somewhat displeased.

Mr. Steven glanced at Bai Xiaosheng and the two others, ”Your friends? Tieluoga, do you want me to introduce you to some high-class North American elites?”

After he spoke, Mr. Steven burst into a loud laugh.

Without waiting for Tieluoga to say anything, Mr. Steven’s car window rolled up, the traffic light in front changed color, and the luxury car roared away, leaving nothing but a rush of sound. There wasn’t even a glimpse of its rear left to see.

In front of Bai Xiaosheng and the others, Tieluoga’s face darkened a bit, and he seemed a little downhearted.

”Who was that?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

”A rich scion; his father is one of Kustiel’s top spice merchants. He once pursued my ex-girlfriend but never succeeded.”

From what Tieluoga said, his ex-girlfriend wasn’t won over by that rich guy, but eventually, she didn’t end up with him either, possibly due to issues of fate. However, this situation ended up creating a rival for Tieluoga.

Life is just so wonderfully absurd.

”Let’s go.” Bai Xiaosheng didn’t comfort Tieluoga at all, he just glanced ahead, speaking meaningfully and calmly.

”One day, your achievements will leave him in the dust!”

Tieluoga took Bai Xiaosheng’s words as a casual comfort, chuckled, and didn’t take them seriously.

The taxi driver was a bit hot-tempered, having heard their conversation just now.

That rich guy not only insulted, but also belittled his taxi, and finally roared away, clearly to show him up!

”Hold tight, esteemed passengers!”

After the driver spoke, Bai Xiaosheng and the others felt the taxi shoot out like a bullet.

Lin Weiwei’s face changed instantly, as the wind howled in through the window, and she shouted while closing it, ”Driver, don’t get carried away!”

Of course, due to the car’s performance, they couldn’t possibly catch up with the sports car in front.

But the driver was agitated, and so he made some reckless maneuvers, turning from the highway into the alleyways. After a bit of swerving, he managed to drop them off at the hotel ahead of time.

The four of them felt a bit dizzy from the ride, unsure whether to tip the driver extra or dock his pay for such reckless driving.

They got out of the car and walked into the lobby of the Brady International Hotel.

As soon as they reached the elevator area, they heard a familiar voice—

”Oh, it’s you again, Tieluoga! How did you get here first!”

They turned their heads, surprisingly noticing a group of people arriving behind them, led by none other than Mr. Steven, who had sped past them on the road earlier.

Mr. Steven was astonished.

They had left that broken taxi far behind, so how did these people show up at the hotel before them.

Wait, the real question was, why were these people here!

”What are you doing here? This place is too classy for you!” Mr. Steven said coldly to Tieluoga, looking down on Bai Xiaosheng and his group as well.

But soon, his gaze shifted to Lin Weiwei.

Earlier in the car, where Lin Weiwei sat, she hadn’t caught Mr. Steven’s attention.

”Your female companion is actually quite attractive, very classy. Not bad at all.” Mr. Steven looked on with a bit of a covetous gaze.

Disregarding Tieluoga’s displeasure, Mr. Steven addressed Lin Weiwei loudly, ”Beautiful lady, would you like to get acquainted? Later, I can offer you a ride back. My car is large and comfortable, not at all like that crappy taxi. The seats fold down into a unique bed!”

”Steven, don’t go too far!” Tieluoga shouted angrily at the remark.

Bai Xiaosheng looked at him coldly.

Lei Ying was already itching to throw Steven out of the hotel.

Lin Weiwei was furious too, but she knew they were there to support Tieluoga, and if they started a brawl now, it wouldn’t look good.

Even if they were to deal with Steven, they would have to wait and plan it out.

”Let’s not mind him.” Lin Weiwei said to everyone, ”Let’s get upstairs and take care of business first.”

Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying immediately understood and held back.

Tieluoga also glared fiercely at Mr. Steven.

Seeing that Tieluoga was ignoring him, he pressed the button for the special elevator that went straight to the top floor.

Steven frowned and asked, ”What are you trying to do getting on this elevator? This elevator only goes straight to the top floor.”

”That’s none of your business!” Tieluoga snorted coldly.

”To my knowledge, there is an important gathering on the top floor, and someone like you has no qualification to attend!” Steven squinted slightly, ”I will also be attending that gathering; my father is one of the five hosts.”

Tieluoga was taken aback upon hearing this and couldn’t help but glance at Bai Xiaosheng.

He hadn’t expected the gathering to involve Steven’s father, who was undoubtedly one of the industry giants.

This meant the gathering’s level was certainly not low.

Seeing Tieluoga’s odd expression, Steven seemed to understand and sneered coldly, ”Ah, I get it, you must have heard some rumors, so you’re trying to find connections to see if there’s any chance for you, right?”

”Let me tell you, with you being such a minor merchant, are you even worthy of appearing in this kind of event? It would simply be a laughingstock, tarnishing the eyes of the esteemed guests!”

”Even if you come over, I guarantee you won’t get inside! Even if you make it in, I would make sure you become a laughingstock for everyone!”

Facing Steven’s outright disdain, humiliation, and threats, Tieluoga, as a man, couldn’t bear it, and suddenly turned around, ready to risk everything and confront him.

Without even a shred of courage, what kind of man would that be!

Bai Xiaosheng grabbed Tieluoga’s wrist and slightly shook his head at him, then looked towards Steven.

”Mr. Steven, I advise you to watch your words.” Bai Xiaosheng said indifferently, ”We in Huaxia have a saying, ’leave yourself some space so that you can meet again someday.’”

Steven sneered and lifted his chin slightly, ”What are you, thinking you have a say here!”

Bai Xiaosheng did not argue with him.

At this moment, the elevator chimed, and the door opened.

Bai Xiaosheng pulled Tieluoga inside, followed by Lin Weiwei.

After Lei Ying entered, he turned around to block the door like a mountain.

Steven stood there with a cold mocking expression, hands in his pants pockets, ”I naturally won’t be sharing an elevator with people like you, since you’re so eager to humiliate yourselves, soon your dignity will be lost.”

As the elevator doors slowly closed, Lei Ying looked at Steven without expression and made a cutting-neck gesture.

The elevator door closed, ascending.

Outside, Steven’s face turned slightly green, he spat, ”Really courting death!”

Bai Xiaosheng’s group rode the elevator up, and inside, Bai Xiaosheng comforted Tieluoga, ”You don’t need to pay attention to that person, this is the way of the business world; there will always be annoying flies buzzing around you.”

Faced with Bai Xiaosheng’s comfort, Tieluoga smiled gratefully, ”If someone could upset me with just a few words, I might as well not go into business. But you did say one wrong thing; he is certainly not a small fly, given their family’s background, he’s more like a croaking toad.”

Everyone laughed.

Tieluoga continued, ”When we get up there, let’s not stay together. I’m afraid when Steven tries to embarrass me, I won’t be able to hold back. Don’t let me cause discomfort to your friends.”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled inscrutably and said, ”It won’t happen.”

While speaking, the elevator reached the top floor.

The group got off the elevator and went straight to the business hall.

Inside, there were already quite a few people, not only merchants but also families.

Tieluoga glanced around and was immediately taken aback, exclaiming, ”What... how come there are so many spice giants here!”

To be honest, Tieluoga recognized more than seven or eight faces with a quick glance.

These people were familiar from TV and newspapers, but he hadn’t interacted closely.

He hadn’t expected the gathering’s level to be so high, even he felt incredulous.

Bai Xiaosheng spotted a familiar figure in the crowd, smiled at Tieluoga, and said, ”There is a friend over there, I’ll go say hello, you can go have a drink, relax.”

Tieluoga replied hastily, ”You go ahead, don’t worry about me.”

Bai Xiaosheng patted his shoulder and headed into the crowd with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

Tieluoga’s gaze shifted to the surroundings, looking for other distinguished figures.

Just then, footsteps sounded behind him, and Steven passed by, glancing sidelong at Tieluoga with a sinister smile.

”Since you’re courting death, don’t blame me!”
