The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 149: Chapter 149 Song Ruqi: I Won’t Accept Being Told I’m Unworthy!

Song Ruqi indeed heard it.

It was because she heard it that her mind went blank in an instant, and she hiked up her skirt and ran back to her courtyard, throwing herself onto the bed, feeling more and more aggrieved the more she thought about it.

What was wrong with her personality, why was she not suitable for the Royal Family, why wasn’t she worthy of being a Royal Wife? Why did her elder sister have to belittle her like this, was it that she looked down on her, or was she afraid that she’d surpass her in status in the future?

The more she thought about it, the more unwilling she felt.

Song Ruqi lay on the bed, her little hand clenched into a fist, pounding on the bed.

She was not convinced.

”Miss, what’s wrong with you?” Shuhua hurried in and saw this scene, extremely anxious.

”Get out.”

”Miss?”

”I told you to get out, didn’t you understand human language?” Song Ruqi angrily said.

Shuhua’s face stiffened slightly, she had no choice but to retreat to the door, watching the bed area.

Outside, Song Ruqian came over holding the hand of her head maid, and Shuhua quickly stepped forward and curtsied, ”Eldest Miss.”

Song Ruqian said they could dispense with the formalities, just about to ask something, when she heard the crying from inside the room, and couldn’t help but sigh.

”Eldest Miss, Second Miss, she...”

”It’s okay, I’ll go in and have a look at her.” Song Ruqian released Chun Yi’s hand and said, ”You all wait here, no need to come in.”

”Young Madam, this...” Chun Yi said nothing, but the steward Huang Mama, who served Song Ruqian, was a bit nervous, afraid that if no one followed and something went wrong, it would be troublesome.

”It’s alright.” Song Ruqian smiled reassuringly and stepped into the room.

Seeing this, Huang Mama also did not leave, just stood at the door, thinking that if anything went amiss, she would rush in immediately.

Song Ruqian walked into the inner room and saw her sister lying on the bed crying, with soft pillows, handkerchiefs thrown on the floor, and even the bedding half dragged down to the floor. She couldn’t help but shake her head.

The temper was as big as ever.

”I told you to go out and you came in...” Song Ruqi turned her head and glared, seeing it was her elder sister, a lump caught in her throat, and the curses caught in mid-air, she stubbornly turned her head away.

”Sigh, you’re even unwelcome to your elder sister? Then shall I leave?” Song Ruqian said, feigning sadness.

Song Ruqi sat up: ”That’s what you said, it wasn’t me chasing you away.”

”But I see you won’t even help me up, my body is heavy.”

Song Ruqi choked, thinking you look down on me so much, how can you still expect me to support you?

But when her eyes swept to her sister’s abdomen, she couldn’t help but stand up, sniffing, and went over to hold her hand.

Song Ruqian’s lips slightly curved, mouth hard but heart soft.

Song Ruqi wanted to lead her elder sister to the bed, but seeing the mess she had made with her tears and snot, which even she found displeasing, she changed direction and led her to sit on the beautiful couch by the window, thoughtfully placing a cushion at her back.

This thoughtful action softened Song Ruqian’s heart into a pool of water, she held her hand and patted it: ”Sit down, let’s have a chat.”

Song Ruqi didn’t want to listen to her, stubbornly standing, but when her sister pulled her, afraid she might fall, she obediently sat down, only turning her head to the other side.

”Just washed your face, the makeup is all smeared, and there’s snot too, don’t you mind the mess?” Song Ruqian turned her face over, gently wiping her with a handkerchief, and said: ”You’re a grown-up lady now, still crying with tears and snot flowing together, aren’t you ashamed?”

”I just love to cry, and I’m not as generous and steady as you, unfazed by anything, so I’m not fit to be a Prince Consort, you already knew that.” Song Ruqi pouted.

Song Ruqian sighed: ”Second sister, do you really want to be an Imperial Concubine so much?”
