The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: The Maid Wants to Climbing into Bed

As the festival approached and banquets were to be held in the mansion, Madam Song did not take on all the responsibilities herself. She entrusted the task of managing the dishes and utensils from the warehouse to Mrs. Lu, asking her to inventory them for use. Meanwhile, Mrs. Jiang assisted with drafting the menu and considering the guests’ preferences.

After the three sisters-in-law discussed everything, they each went about their respective tasks.

Mrs. Lu was somewhat surprised when she received the plaque of authority. She did not expect Madam Song to be so generous in delegating power and allowing her to assist with management. Was this out of trust in her, or the confidence that she couldn’t seize the household management power from Madam Song?

But upon reflection, in this household, aside from the Grand Madam, who could surpass Madam Song? She was fortunate—with a good background and a husband who had earned her the title of an Imperial Decree of the first rank.

Apart from her mother-in-law, nobody could surpass her.

Mrs. Lu clenched the plaque tightly and stopped overthinking. The situation was stronger than the individual, and it was better to act according to the circumstances.

Main Courtyard.

Mama Fang presented tea to Madam Song and said, ”Madam, are you assured with the Third Madam managing the dishes and utensils warehouse?”

Madam Song took a sip of tea and replied, ”Why wouldn’t I be? She just returned from Shanxi and is eager to prove herself, wanting me to notice her capabilities. She will manage it well.”

Mama Fang thought that made sense.

Madam Song continued, ”And even if she isn’t diligent, so what? Mama, the mansion ran smoothly in her absence, so it makes no difference whether she’s involved or not. On the contrary, if she doesn’t put her heart into it, she shouldn’t expect to gain anything in the future. If she’s smart, she’ll naturally make sure to handle the tasks properly for me.”

”Madam is wise.”

Madam Song picked up the tea cover with her orchid fingers and stirred the tea leaves in the cup, saying, ”As for that new batch of maids and boys, Mama, go inquire from Mama Zhang on how well they’ve been taught about the rules. Those who are familiar with the rules should be let out to familiarize themselves with the mansion. We can’t have them embarrassing themselves on the day of the banquet. Also, ask Mama Zhang to hurry them up to ensure they get familiar quickly.”

The banquet on the eighth is not only her birthday banquet but also the first time the Song Family hosts guests after the Prime Minister’s promotion, representing the status of the Prime Minister’s Mansion.

Therefore, that banquet represents the face of the Prime Minister’s Mansion and cannot allow people to make a laughingstock of it.

”Madam, rest assured, this old servant will remind Mama Zhang.”

Madam Song nodded.

Mama Fang, observing her, hesitated while recalling what she saw last night, as if wanting to speak but holding back.

”Does Mama have something to say?”

Mama Fang glanced out of the window and spotted Furong on the Guanlian Platform, scolding a young maid, then said, ”Madam, Furong is already twenty. What are your plans for her?”

Madam Song was taken aback. Why had Furong suddenly come up in conversation? She instinctively looked at Mama Fang, whose gaze was rather cold as she looked outside, prompting Madam Song to also look out.

She gazed at Furong.

”Mama, is there something wrong with Furong?” Madam Song steadied herself and pretended to calmly fiddle with the tea cover.

Mama Fang lowered her head and said, ”I’m afraid Furong’s ambitions have grown.”

Madam Song slammed the teacup down on the bamboo table heavily, her voice icy, ”What have you seen?”

Mama Fang did not hide anything and recounted what she had seen last night.

Bam.

”What a shameless maid.” Madam Song swept the teacup onto the floor, staring coldly at Furong outside the window, her chest heaving with anger.

Suddenly recalling her husband’s entanglement last night, a sharp pain struck her heart, and she clenched her fist.

Madam Song took a deep breath, closed her eyes briefly, then opened them, saying coldly, ”Tell her to stay inside and hasten to make me an outfit to wear on the eighth, and make sure it’s embroidered with butterflies among peonies. Then, bring Lv Ju up here. After the eighth, let her parents take her back to arrange a match.”

She could arrange for Song Zhiyuan’s personal maid, but she would never allow that maid to climb into his bed on her own accord, especially behind her back!
