Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Calmness and ordinariness always dominate life, while moments of hustle and bustle, occasional glory, are ultimately just embellishments to daily life. Especially during this mass relocation and development of tiered battle grounds.

The living beings on Earth have become quite sparse—eighty percent of life has already moved to the tiered battle grounds, which will be their future home. Perhaps there is confusion, perhaps there is unease about the future, but no matter what, stepping forward means a change in era, it signifies a broader, more beautiful tomorrow.

Three days later, when the Demon Realm’s Gate reopens, everything ushers in a new beginning.

In front of each Demon Realm’s Gate, fortresses rise densely, arms are full, as soon as the vanguards of the Demon Tribe cross the gates wanting to probe the tiered battle ground’s depths, they immediately face artillery bombardment, skill coverage, and ultimately meet the end of life—everything seems so orderly. On Earth, the Demon Tribe can’t stir up waves, likewise on the tiered battle ground, with such a geographical advantage, the demon plague isn’t an imminent problem.

Compared to development, combat has become a mere detail.

And so, time passes...

...

Mainland Bloc Number 1635 in District 6.

He chops wood here, builds houses, plants trees, farms. From nothing to something, he slowly constructs a place of belonging in his heart.

Despite having vast connections, despite being second strongest in the world, he is just alone, like an ordinary farmer, slowly building his own paradise—in just three days, a small country courtyard is already taking shape.

He didn’t pay any heed to the reopened Demon Realm’s Gate, nor to the chaos that had occurred, he simply looked at the outcome built by his own hands, a carefree laugh escaping his lips.

”How is it? Tang Two, not bad, right?”

Another voice sounded in his heart.

”Not bad, really not bad, your craftsmanship is improving... hmm, turn around and have a look... tsk, it’s identical, truly identical to the home in our World of the Heart’s Image.”

”Exactly the same, that’s for sure!”

Tang One laughed once more and casually patted a wooden stump beside him: ”In future, on odd days I’ll be outside, on even days you’ll be outside, since the environment is the same, we brothers can just randomly split outside time.”

”Deal!”

Tang Two responded decisively, succinctly, while Tang One merely gazed into the distance.

That was in the direction of the tiered battle ground’s main city, where Wen Yu was...

”Do you feel any dissatisfaction? No... I actually quite like this kind of life.”

”By the way, how are you handling the food?”

”Starting with having Lin Haifeng send some over, then slowly growing and raising it ourselves. I’m planning to build a farm here. You keep pace with me in the World of the Heart’s Image, let’s strive to make the two places identical.”

Tang Two remained silent until he spoke again.

”Really nice...”

”What? I thought you didn’t like this secluded life.”

”Hmm, how should I say it... maybe just a bit worn out.”

...

Mainland Bloc Number 3315 in District 7.

He looked at the steadily constructed steel fortress, his eyes radiating unprecedented vitality and anticipation.

”The Portable Base Vehicle’s effectiveness is excellent, within three days, the foothold in District 7 is laid out thoroughly, though it did consume considerable resources. We need to vigorously exploit mineral resources of the tiered battle ground, as well as the development of the Portable Base Vehicle. The tech department over there says they can produce results in three years at the earliest, which means three years later, we’ll have a second Portable Base Vehicle developed independently.”

Fran stood beside Lin Haifeng, holding a large batch of reports to Lin Haifeng, until the report was finished, Fran ”bam” closed the reports in hand.

”I just don’t quite understand, shouldn’t our first phase construction of the main city be in District 1? The safest place, to create the safest base camp. That would be logical, right?”

Lin Haifeng simply shook his head, he looked at the already autonomously operating Portable Base Vehicle, feeling the calm place with wind and sunny days, it was a while before he finally smiled.

”Have you ever heard a saying?”

”What saying?”

”The king guards the border, the monarch dies for the country... well, I’m certainly no king, but take the entire Yanjing, its status on Earth indeed equates to the concept of a king.”

”We are the strongest force, we have the power to change the world, to protect the world, you cannot deny this.”

Fran nodded—how much strength Yanjing can muster, Fran knew very well.

”In recent years, we’ve been accumulating strength, developing power, strengthening ourselves, we have the strength but didn’t take on the responsibility of the strongest force.”

”Why, is it time to take on the responsibility now?”

Fran was somewhat puzzled: ”Wen Yu is still there, Tang Haofei is doing well, we don’t need to be that trailblazer, right?”

”Times have changed...”

Lin Haifeng merely muttered this sentence, without explaining further, just pointed towards the horizon.

”Here, is our first phase base camp! When the Level 7 Level Lock is broken, here will be Earth’s base in the 7th Battle Zone, at that time, the second phase of construction will announce its start, then we’ll go to District 8 to build the second base camp!”

”Then it’ll be District 9, District 10, we will always be one step ahead of the Demon Tribe, we will guard the front lines and hold the passage to Earth, the fortress stands so long as we stand! Without flattening Yanjing, the Demon Tribe shouldn’t ever think about penetrating the tiered battle ground!”
