Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Inside the Soul Experiment Lab, the once quiet and deserted place was now filled with guests.

Representatives from Yanjing like Lin Haifeng, America’s Supreme Commander from Washington, and leaders from various major human gathering places—all collectively numbering no less than a hundred!

Wen Yu sat in the main seat of the Soul Experiment Lab, quietly watching the commotion below without uttering a single word. Before him, a giant sand table, controlled by the Mountain Kui, stood upright for everyone to see, showing a map of the entire tiered battle ground and the main layout of the Ring Star Sector.

At this moment, the disputes were nothing but arguments over the size of each territory.

Nearly ten million pieces of land segments, representing unimaginable resources and development space, which also indicated potential backup for war.

A variety of indecent displays emerged all at once, yet Wen Yu did not overly interfere, merely observing coldly from the main seat.

Until, at a certain moment, the sound of footsteps echoed through the lab’s passage, signaling the appearance of four figures, causing the entire lab to fall into silence.

”Sequence Number 2, Tang Haofei? Why is he here? I remember he doesn’t belong to Yanjing anymore, does he?”

”And the Demigod, we received news recently that the Demigod turned against Yanjing. Wow, look at Lin Haifeng’s expression, only a few could make this old man look bad.”

”Sea King? Insect King Skye? Could it be that even the mutant beasts want a slice of the pie? That’s impossible, the tiered battle ground is large, but there’s no room for alien races to thrive!”

The fragmented conversations filled Wen Yu’s eardrums, some were exchanges of information between factions, while others were starkly said for Wen Yu’s ears only.

The tiered battle ground is large, but truth be told, the Human Race could digest it entirely on their own—no one would complain about having too large a territory, would they? If it can’t be developed, just leave it there; as long as your nation’s name is signed, everything can be negotiated.

Moreover, the tiered battle ground’s nominal ownership belongs to Wen Yu, and as a member of the Human Race, Wen Yu surely wouldn’t turn against his own kind, right?

Yet, Wen Yu’s ideas differ from those of the crowd.

He exchanged glances with Tang Haofei, signaling towards the Demigod, Sea King, and Skye behind him, to which Tang Haofei simply smiled and said, ”I represent Earth’s mutant life forms now, and I wish to secure some land for them in the tiered battlefield.”

After speaking, Tang Haofei sat directly down with the other three. The Demigod ignored Lin Haifeng’s nearly cannibalistic glare, focusing silently, while Sea King and Skye returned the Human Leader’s glare with disdain.

”Hogwash, yapping away as if your words are decisive...”

The atmosphere heated up even further, while Wen Yu simply massaged his temples, turned to Tang Haofei seated beside him, and curiously asked, ”Are you planning to mix with them?”

Tang Haofei was silent, then nodded: ”The mutant creatures have great war potential, and they are loyal to Earth’s will. Though Earth’s will is somewhat peculiar, I see no reason not to stand with them.”

”Moreover...”

Old Tang shifted his tone, somewhat wistfully.

”After the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, you can see that compared to professionists, mutant beasts are at a disadvantage. Though they are large in number, they cannot use the Exchange Stone Pillar, nor various types of items, their rate of progress is far slower than professionists, and they have fewer peak experts. We cannot ignore their contributions; like now, in this expansive tiered battlefield, you didn’t invite the mutant beast tribe, nor did these gathering place heads invite them; it was assumed they’d be excluded from the spoils. Yet they are indeed indispensable to Earth; someone must speak for these marginalized groups.”

Tang Haofei voiced his stance.

”Marginalized groups, huh...”

Wen Yu remarked sentimentally, then suddenly chuckled.

”Actually, I’ve already left them sufficient territory. It’s true, you’ve somewhat misjudged me. Also, have you found your place?”

”More or less.”

Tang Haofei answered with a smile.

Wen Yu nodded slightly, said, ”Good,” and then clapped his hands.

Crisp applause cleared the noise within the Soul Experiment Lab in an instant.

”For the tiered battle ground, I want one-third of the land—that’s for my Soul Puppets to inhabit. From today, Soul Puppets are officially integrated into Earth’s native ecosystem, ranking among All Races!”

First, formalize the name for his Soul Puppets—this is Wen Yu’s confidant.

”Next, Humans will get one-third—don’t rush to make a fuss. You know well the numbers of humans compared to mutant beasts; a third is plenty, don’t be too greedy! As for which bloc belongs to which nation, sort that out internally.”

”The remainder is the mutant beasts’ territory; I’ve allocated one-third to mutant creatures. Specific allocation within your races is up to you all to decide.”

Just as Wen Yu finished, a leader from one of the gathering places swiftly stood—a black-skinned, dreadfully fierce-looking burly man.

”I don’t...”

”Shh, shh, shh...”

Wen Yu raised a finger to his lips, signaling the man to sit down, effectively sealing the matter.

”This is my allocation plan, the final plan. For those dissatisfied, don’t enter the tiered battle ground.”

Wen Yu was unconcerned with arguing over trivialities like population counts or development speeds—support my plan, and I’ll feed you; disagree, and you can leave. Simple and effective.

Thus, the matter was easily settled.

After this, Wen Yu shifted into a more relaxed posture, his tone adopting a formal gravity.

”I haven’t summoned you here just to discuss who gets which territory but primarily to strategize on planning the layout of the tiered battle ground. As you see, before us is the demonstration map of the tiered battle ground.”

Wen Yu pointed to the sand table prepared earlier and continued.

”Before commencing development, I am authorized to adjust the internal mainland blocs; this is primarily to counteract the impending demon plague and to determine the placement of the Demon Realm’s Gate—no more than twenty percent at most, no less than one percent. I need you to locate the most suitable battlefield positions for placing the Demon Realm’s Gates, and also submit allocation plans for the gates between tiers, and the overall layout plan for the tiered battle ground. This is not merely a matter of immigrant land grabbing; this will be our most reliable defense line, our barrier. So, esteemed figures, employ your cunning minds accustomed to power struggles—help me transform the tiered battlefield into an impregnable fortress!”
