Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”On each bloc, there is an exclusive teleportation channel for Earth lifeforms, which can be used by Earth creatures, but not by Demon Fiends.”

thoughtfully explained, and Wen Yu understood—the Dominator had thought it through thoroughly.

”So, regarding the placement of the Demon Realm’s Gate, is there any particular requirement?”

Wen Yu had a nice idea—place all the Demon Realm’s Gates in Level 1 territory, that way, the Demon Fiends that appear will only be Level 1. When the time comes, no matter what means the Demon Tribe has, if you can’t mobilize troops, what’s the use?”

”In each level area, at most 20% of the total quantity of Demon Realm’s Gates can be placed, and at least not lower than 1%. But the placement of the Demon Realm’s Gates is entirely up to the master to decide, such as placing them in the deep ocean or at the bottom of a volcano; these are all within the allowable range. However, they must be placed on land blocs.”

This means that the first move was handed over to Wen Yu, and Wen Yu could very well place the Demon Realm’s Gates in some trap areas. Although the original plan was scrapped, this was still acceptable.

”Also, regarding the Level Lock issue, if the Demon Tribe does not appear on Earth, how will they break through the Level Lock?”

”By killing Earth lifeforms. Demonic Qi invasion causes less ecological damage and doesn’t directly extract origin energy compared to on Earth. In other words, in the tiered battleground, the Demon Tribe will take significantly longer to break the Level Lock.”

Slower is better, at least it leaves ample buffer time.

”Are there Exchange Stone Pillars here?”

”Yes, there are many of them.”

”How about the teleportation channels?”

”Are you referring to the kind similar to the Eternal Sky City? The main city also has this function, which the master can activate proactively.”

”Activate it now!”

Having been accustomed to using the Eternal Sky City’s teleportation channels, Wen Yu had become reluctant to traverse the vast tiered battleground by foot.

Following that, Wen Yu asked many questions, and Small Secretary 001 provided all the answers—from a certain perspective, the main city of the tiered battleground had more comprehensive functionalities than the Eternal Sky City and played a more significant role.

Aside from that, there were various issues regarding immigration, development, and other intricate matters, which Wen Yu needed to discuss with Lin Haifeng upon returning to Earth.

After finishing the conversation with 001, Wen Yu waved and dismissed it, letting it conceal itself in the central control tower. Then, Wen Yu exited the central control tower, used the teleportation channel of the Exchange Stone Pillar, and began traveling among different blocs.

Wen Yu needed to seize the most succulent fruits for himself during this time when no one was competing.

...

District 10, Mainland Bloc Number 0356, roughly the size of the American Continent, primarily a wetland environment, where Wen Yu released the Sixth Soul Pet, Luo Luo.

”Multiply and expand your tribe, this is your territory. How do you like it?”

Luo Luo nodded its small head, its two antennae twitching, clearly satisfied.

District 8, Mainland Bloc Number 053, roughly the size of Cathay, primarily mountainous terrain.

”Star, isn’t this place quite nice?”

Standing atop the summit of a massive main peak nearly 20,000 meters high, Wen Yu patted Star’s head and asked, to which Star merely nodded, eyes once again fixated on the distant peaks—the diligent (or perhaps lazy) Giant Dragon never missed a chance to admire the mountains.

District 6, Mainland Bloc Number 011, roughly the size of the Antarctic, primarily a plains environment.

”Cyclops, take your gang of little brothers; henceforth, this will be your hunting ground. When your level is higher, the boss will arrange for you to have a more advanced place!”

”Ok!” Cyclops grinned wide, with bits of meat still stuck on its teeth.

”Smack!”

Wen Yu decisively rewarded Cyclops with a flick to the forehead.

You haven’t brushed your damn teeth again. This Cyclops, personal hygiene is so poor and has a penchant for promiscuity; now Wen Yu can’t even be bothered to cuddle with Cyclops...

Back at the main city of the tiered battleground, Wen Yu released Victor.

”From now on, you can roam freely within the tiered battleground.”

”Boss, what about you?”

Victor’s eyes glimmered with light, sensing that something was amiss from the moment Wen Yu began allocating soul pets.

”Me, ah...”

Wen Yu’s tone was melancholic.

”What I need now is to keep a low profile. Oh, Victor, I have some tasks for you, just in case... in case I’m not around, take good care of your brother and sister.”

Victor instantly fell silent.

The challenges Wen Yu faced were no secret to these soul pets. Even though the Dominator intervened, Wen Yu couldn’t guarantee avoiding this disaster altogether!

”Take care.”

”You all as well.”

...

Seeing Victor off, Wen Yu once again headed to another land bloc.

District 7, Mainland Bloc Number 0339...

A barren desert.

By night, with sparse stars and a bright moon, yellow sand all around, Wen Yu couldn’t fathom how the Dominator managed to create such a magnificent tiered battleground, but the scenery before him was indeed poetic.

Pillowed by a small mound of sand, Wen Yu half-closed his eyes, gazing at the bright night sky. The little soul beast gently nuzzled Wen Yu’s cheek, alleviating some of his loneliness.

”This place is truly wonderful. Even if I were to die here, being able to enjoy such beauty day and night would hardly be lonely...”

A sighing tone escaped Wen Yu’s mouth, which only made the little soul beast bounce joyfully until the moon set and the sun rose, at which point Wen Yu finally stood up.

Brushing off the sand from his body, Wen Yu’s figure gradually vanished into the distance.

District 7, Mainland Bloc Number 0339, a suitable resting place.

...

Returning to the main city of the tiered battleground, Wen Yu once again entered the central control tower, but this time, it wasn’t to go to the main control room but rather directly to the underground.

Here, Wen Yu took out Number One and buried it deep beneath the central control tower, sensing the gradually active Origin Energy below. A faint smile formed at the corner of Wen Yu’s lips.

Then, he communicated with the main CPU of the tiered battleground in his mind.

”Teleport.”

In a flash of light, Wen Yu’s figure vanished from inside the tiered battleground.

...

In the Soul Experiment Lab, Mountain Kui’s carbon copy reported to Wen Yu the results of the auction—primarily how many magic crystals had been acquired, but as for useful treasures, there were none...

Once Mountain Kui finished the report, Wen Yu waved his hand, said ”Understood,” and then issued the next phase of tasks to Mountain Kui.

”I will soon activate the teleportation channel of the tiered battleground to send our personnel into it. I’ve already chosen survival blocs for each puppet race. The Star of Africa here in Africa requires overall relocation; business will continue in the tiered battleground, leaving 1% of personnel to maintain Africa, that’s enough. Also, the mutant beasts under Cyclops can go to District 6, Mainland Bloc Number 011 in the tiered battleground to find Cyclops. Mm, start organizing the manpower now.”

As soon as Wen Yu’s orders were issued, Mountain Kui’s carbon copy immediately took the lead, while Wen Yu slowly walked out of the Soul Experiment Lab and connected with the tiered battleground’s main control program in the open space in front of it.

”Establish a permanent large-scale teleportation gate here?”

”Yes!”

”Remaining large-scale teleportation gate establishment attempts—99 times, establishment complete!”

As a beam of light shot out, a gigantic teleportation gate measuring 100 by 100 gradually formed. This scene undoubtedly allowed every force with satellite surveillance systems to clearly perceive it, so just as the teleportation gate was completed, Wen Yu’s communicator immediately started buzzing incessantly.

This also signaled the beginning of bickering and the first distribution of benefits...
