Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Up ahead, Old Tang’s face twisted with a sinister look, veins bulging on his face as his heavy punch came crashing down like a collapsing sky, only to be firmly intercepted by Wen Yu’s wrist, unable to advance even an inch.

A tremendous force surged upwards from his wrist, pressing so hard it made a creaking sound.

In a front-on clash, this punch was forcibly blocked by Wen Yu. Although Wen Yu’s legs bent, and the ground beneath him shattered into pieces, his body seemed as if nailed deep into the ground by half a meter. Yet, a block is a block — the most terrifying truth occurred, even with pure physical strength contest, Tang Haofei still didn’t have an absolute advantage!

”How is this possible!”

Fran, beside Lin Haifeng, gaped wide enough to fit an egg, watching the two on stage at a stalemate, uttering words of disbelief.

As for Lin Haifeng, he merely sighed.

”The physical fitness of Wen Yu is unknown, but it shouldn’t surpass Tang Haofei. In this situation, the apparent gap between their physical fitness seems only two to three times, which is quite odd.”

Indeed, very odd...

After being sneak-attacked by Tang Haofei, Wen Yu had already noticed something off with Tang Haofei’s state — a species innate talent around 200,000, not affected by any external factors. This is what makes the species innate talent scarier compared to physical fitness, even if Tang Haofei’s physical fitness was reduced to only 1 point by some skill, with 200,000+ physical fitness, Tang Haofei remains the daddy of normal professionists.

But Tang Haofei’s current physical fitness is strange — according to Wen Yu’s estimation, Old Tang’s physical fitness (including skill enhancement) is just around ten million points, this level of physical fitness paired with his species innate talent doesn’t give him an absolute advantage against Wen Yu.

Holding back? No... under the premise of appearing on the tiered battleground, there is absolutely no such thing as holding back for a fight over Sequence Number 1 between them. Wen Yu needs the tiered battle ground to save his life, and Tang Haofei definitely doesn’t want the tiered battleground to fall into Wen Yu’s hands — the role of the Eternal Sky City, that treasure, Tang Haofei can’t let it fall into the hands of Wen Yu, the ’World Destroyer’.

So... this might be all the power Tang One can currently muster...

The pressure on his right wrist surged wave after wave as Wen Yu suddenly let out a low laugh seeing Tang Haofei struggling with gritted teeth.

”Ten million physical fitness plus a species innate talent of 200,000, my physical fitness 900,000 plus a species innate talent of 3,000, skill enhancement of over ten times, the gap of around 7 times, this is unexpectedly easy...”

The voice was so low that only the two in the stalemate could hear it. Upon hearing this, Tang Haofei’s face instantly darkened, and with his mood stirred, the force in his hand abruptly slacked by half a fraction, which immediately allowed Wen Yu to find an opportunity to counterattack!

Power surged swiftly from his right wrist to every part of his body, Wen Yu shifted his left foot half a step back, the immense force plowing through the arena’s floor, then his left fist was raised level, his entire body like a taut drawn bow, then unleashed a bombarding punch!

This punch was unremarkable, nearly silent without even the sound of wind, let alone to rival Tang Haofei’s physical attack that could tear space, yet it was extremely fast. Just as Old Tang began reacting, Wen Yu’s left fist struck at Tang Haofei’s waist...

Upon contact, it felt like a mosquito bite, a mere sting of pain, however, the force then fully manifested, containing Wen Yu’s own strength and the full explosive power of Tang Haofei’s suppression in one blended hit! Like a flood discharge, immense explosive power erupted from Tang Haofei’s waist, exploding completely within his body! The intense pain instantly deprived Tang Haofei of all strength.

Old Tang felt a blinding blackness, not only the physical pain but also the force from the Soul Strike, under double assault, Tang Haofei inevitably bent over, hanging his head down, and then he saw an uppercut coming straight for his face.

”Crack...”

A simple punch, yet contained some strange suction, striking right at Tang Haofei’s chin, the enormous force completely drove into Tang Haofei’s jawbone, dislocating Old Tang’s jaw on the spot, yet the attack was far from over.

With the impact of this punch, Tang Haofei was launched nearly 30 centimeters high, and simultaneously the force of the Soul Strike took effect, leaving Tang Haofei’s mind buzzing, just as the pain had not subsided, a downward whipping kick already lashed onto Tang Haofei’s forehead.

With a ”bang”.

Wen Yu’s calf touched and retreated from Tang Haofei’s forehead, but the force it brought completely struck within Old Tang’s body, under the influence of this force, Tang Haofei’s body rapidly plummeted, hitting the ground in an instant, however, just then, Wen Yu’s next attack came right on its heels!

A simple knee strike...

The body lifted once again, the Soul Strike took effect once more, at this moment, Tang Haofei’s body was utterly unsupported, the Soul Strike swiftly deprived Tang Haofei of any reaction capabilities, leaving him like a ragdoll, restrained in mid-air by a series of continuous attacks from Wen Yu, lonely and helpless under the barrage of relentless attacks.

This whole scene to the bystanders appeared as a shadow continually swirling around Tang Haofei, while Tang Haofei’s body suspended completely still mid-air, only the successive ”crackle” sounds of impact could prove how high Wen Yu’s attack frequency actually was.

”Could this be considered a thrashing...”

Fran opened his mouth again, his tone filled with a type of inexplicable emotion.

While Lin Haifeng merely nodded, at the same time watched the stage below, pondering something unknown.

Initially thinking Tang Haofei’s strength, compared to Wen Yu, still remained at a crushing state, but as it turns out, who will bear the title of Sequence Number 1 is indeed a mystery.

However, who becomes Sequence Number 1 is no longer important to Lin Haifeng, perhaps even letting Wen Yu become Sequence Number 1 might bring certain better impacts to Yanjing, this second Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, from Lin Haifeng’s perspective, is more complex than the first, and the impacts and changes following this battle might only be seen in time to come.

...

Eyes still locked on the stage, Wen Yu continued his unceasing attack, after altering the way of exerting force, optimizing the attack points, reducing power wastage, even against Tang Haofei, whose physical fitness was about seven times higher than his, Wen Yu still presented a crushing advantage.

There were a lot of techniques and details among them, but the most important point was the magical effect of the Soul Strike — this passive attack targeting the soul was relentless enough to make Wen Yu beat Tang Haofei to blissful agony.
