Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Squeak~~”

The door opened and Lin Haifeng was the first to walk into the meeting room, followed by that familiar figure known to everyone in the room.

The originally noisy meeting room quieted down, partly because of Lin Haifeng, but mostly due to the serene presence of Tang Haofei.

”This is Tang Haofei, the original Tang Haofei.”

Lin Haifeng was the first to introduce him to everyone present, followed by the sound of several deep breaths — for all present, the secrets of Tang One and Tang Two were accessible to them.

Tang Haofei looked around, seeing the room filled with numerous figures, and couldn’t help but nod. He turned his head and smiled at Lin Haifeng, ”Old man, you’re quite something, setting up such a big operation quietly. Honestly, are you aiming to take over all sequences this time?”

”This might be a bit difficult...”

Lin Haifeng shook his head with a smile, then pointed to a group of powerful experts seated below.

”These are the warriors from the Yanjing Assembly Site participating in this Sequence Member-Ranking Battle. There are 526 Breakthrough Achievers, 252 with physical prowess over 30,000, 95 over 50,000, 12 over 80,000, and 1 over 100,000.”

As he mentioned those over 100,000, Lin Haifeng pointed to himself—as the leader of a faction, Lin Haifeng not only possesses an intelligent mind for control but also needs a worthy level of strength. At least in terms of skill, Lin Haifeng is not inferior to a Demigod.

Tang Haofei seemed a bit surprised: ”Are you going to make a move this time?”

”Yes.”

Lin Haifeng nodded, ”Without me taking action, few among them can deal with Walter.”

Speaking of Walter, Lin Haifeng couldn’t help but feel a bit resentful. The resources Yanjing placed on Walter were numerous! Vast! And yet they bred a turncoat. This time Lin Haifeng wasn’t going to let Walter go without a lesson. How would he lead this team otherwise?

This time, the old man was indeed angry...

”Let’s first address other assembly sites issues, well, there are three powerful experts worth noting... Forget it, these guys are just for show anyway.”

Lin Haifeng casually skipped over the first topic. In his eyes, it wasn’t really worth discussing.

”The second issue is regarding the powerful experts hidden among Independents... The number is hard to estimate, but there are two particularly worth attention, namely Bai and Ye Nan.”

”No need to specifically target them. Just face them normally when you encounter them. The main objective remains those undocumented powerful experts. In the arena, be observant of those unfamiliar individuals, try to recruit them if possible, and keep a good impression if not.”

For powerful experts, Sequence Member-Ranking Battle is a Great Feast, but for Lin Haifeng, it’s a powerful meal to grow himself and his faction! His goal isn’t about how many sequences to obtain, but how many Sequence-class experts he can recruit into Yanjing.

”As for the third issue, it’s Walter. This time, we must kick Walter out of the top five sequences and give him an unforgettable lesson!”

”Qin Tian, Kasu, Fran, Qin Min, Lan Bo, Vincent, Fang Bai, Dugu Jian.”

These eight are known Sequence-class experts, their strength nearly matches Walter!

”Ning Haochen, Mu Bai, Vila, Wang Yuwei.”

A total of twelve names were called, making up thirteen including Lin Haifeng himself.

”Walter is our mission; when you see him, beat him ruthlessly!”

Lin Haifeng finished speaking, heavily slapped the table, and the twelve whose names were called immediately stood up and saluted seriously.

Tang Haofei carefully examined the four people whose names he didn’t recognize — three men and one woman, all with physical prowess over 80,000. It seems the old man is truly furious this time, pulling out four hidden super experts all at once.

The rest of the time, Lin Haifeng discussed with his subordinates about topics related to the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, setting some minor strategies, with a particular focus on match-fixing; although he spoke of avoiding it, Lin Haifeng clearly intended to cover Sequence Number 3 to Sequence Number 100 positions entirely.

Although this goal is difficult to achieve, yet securing ninety of those positions, in Lin Haifeng’s eyes, seems an attainable target.

Time ticked by second by second, until everyone heard the crisp prompt in their minds.

”Sequence Member-Ranking Battle is about to begin, countdown three minutes, please all powerful experts who haven’t reached the Star of Africa arrive on time, countdown 180, 179, 178...”

As if the battle drums were about to sound, Lin Haifeng slowly closed his eyes and communicated with an intent hovering over the Star of Africa.

”Teleport to the main arena!”

”Teleport start.”

Shush...

As the white light flashed repeatedly, in a moment, the vast meeting room was completely empty.

...

Million Victories Arena, as clusters of white light flashed by, the next moment, the entire arena was instantly filled with people.

These people jostling shoulder to shoulder occupied every corner of the Million Victories Arena, even the roof was packed with people...

And this is just a small portion... With nearly 5 billion humans existing on Earth, at least 3 billion are eager to showcase their skills in the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle...

Standing in his private box, Wen Yu was stunned by the crowd appearing beside him, feeling speechless...

Dominator, damn it, this is a VIP box, why are you putting these Level 1 and Level 2 kids here?

Fortunately, the awkward situation didn’t last too long, and Dominator quickly started to wrap things up.

”First elimination begins; all professionists not reaching Peak Level 6 will be directly eliminated and teleported out of the Star of Africa.”

This one rule alone eliminated ninety percent of the contestants.

That’s right, ninety percent... leaving 300 million people...

The Level 6 Level Lock has been open for five and a half years, anyone who can reach Level 6, no matter how useless, can linger to Peak Level 6, and the number is definitely not few — in fact, the Level 1 and Level 2 kids mostly are those under thirteen, the remaining ones, as long as they can wield weapons, plus protection from elders or friends, can basically reach Level 5.

This is the boon of a good environment.

However, these 300 million people are indeed quite a lot, hence the second elimination rule arises.

”Second elimination begins; all professionists will be teleported into Challenge Space, challenge project: five Peak Level 6, skill-less Mechanical Puppets. Defeat them to enter the next round challenge. Existing Sequence-class experts do not need to participate in the elimination challenge and can directly advance to the challenge match.”

Conventional difficulty, five skill-less Peak Level 6 puppets, compared to six-skill professionists, well, as long as the skill combination isn’t too trashy, there’s a chance at victory.
