Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

In fact, Wen Yu still underestimated regular professionists.

The challenge didn’t take much time; maybe the Dominator adjusted the time axis within the Challenge Space. Overall, in Wen Yu’s view, it was just a flash of light, and then the scene returned to that densely packed crowd of people.

”Challenge ended, remaining professionist count is 195631252.”

Nearly two hundred million...

Alright, not even half were eliminated. Now, those who can reach the Peak Level 6 indeed have some skills.

”Third round elimination begins, challenge target: five random Peak Level 6 Demon Fiends.”

This difficulty is a bit tough for regular professionists, especially if some Demon Fiends with special skills appear randomly, it won’t be beneficial. But for those powerful experts genuinely competing for the Sequence, this difficulty is just average.

Again, the white light flickered. This time, after it passed, the crowd in Million Victories Arena slightly decreased...

”Challenge ended, remaining professionist count is 55502314.”

Over fifty million, so the elimination continues...

”Fourth round elimination begins...”

”Fifth round elimination begins...”

”Sixth round elimination begins...”

”Seventh round elimination begins...”

The number of eliminated increased, while the number of people remaining in Million Victories Arena dwindled, until after the sixteenth round ended, the elimination sequence that made all professionists feel ecstatic and dead finally concluded completely.

”Challenge ended, remaining professionist count is 125310.”

One hundred and twenty thousand professionists who experienced sixteen rounds of challenges at Peak Level 6; it’s not exaggerated to say these people are the essence of the Human Race.

”The elimination sequence officially ends; the challenge competition immediately begins!”

”All professionists without a Sequence title are uniformly called Challengers, who will first participate in the challenge competition. The Sequence will not take part in this challenge competition. The rules for this Sequence Member-Ranking Battle challenge competition are now announced.”

”One: All Challengers will be divided into a thousand groups, engaging in one-on-one duels. The top three in each group advance through the challenge competition. The quota for advancement is 3,000 people.”

”Two: All first-round challenge failures will be divided again into a thousand groups, engaging in one-on-one duels. The top three in each group advance through the challenge competition. The quota for advancement is 3,000 people.”

”Three: All second-round challenge failures will be divided again into a thousand groups, engaging in one-on-one duels. The top four in each group advance through the challenge competition. The quota for advancement is 4,000 people.”

”Four: Through three rounds of challenge competitions, a total of 10,000 people advance. Those who successfully pass the challenge competition gain qualification to participate in the next Sequence Member-Ranking Battle. Based on physical fitness and skill level evaluation, a seed player will emerge from each group.”

Three opportunities and seed player evaluation avoid strong clashes in the elimination sequence. However, these have nothing to do with Wen Yu.

As many professionists were once again transported to the Challenge Space, Wen Yu looked around. Those who stayed in the Million Victories Arena now were all the existing Sequence members. Among the hundred members of the Sequence, about twenty percent were unfamiliar faces. In the past few years of battles, twenty percent of the Sequence were killed, and these unfamiliar faces were selected after evaluation by the Treasure Land Protector.

These people looked around the large competition arena below, quickly occupying various boxes, well, Wen Yu, as the host, didn’t really mind. After all, these boxes were prepared for the Sequence; consider it a gesture of goodwill.

However, Tang Haofei sensed Wen Yu’s presence in Box 1 and soon joined Wen Yu.

”How about it? Any interesting guys inside?”

Upon hearing Tang Haofei’s voice, Wen Yu smiled and shook his head.

”What’s there to be interested in, just some unimpressive creatures.”

After saying this, Wen Yu no longer paid attention to the scene below, walked to the bar in the box, took out a can of beer from the mini-fridge, and tossed it to Tang Haofei.

”You shouldn’t say they’re unimpressive; they’re the main force against the demon plague...”

”Heh, seems like you’re out of touch with the times.”

Wen Yu chuckled and teased, knowing Tang Haofei hadn’t seen the military scale under his control.

Tang Haofei shrugged indifferently, then quickly changed the topic: ”This time, are you going to fight?”

Fight what? It’s nothing but the issue regarding the Sequence Number 1.

”Let’s see the situation, see what the rewards are. If it’s a treasure like Eternal Sky City, I’d have to fight for it no matter what.”

Wen Yu didn’t need to hide his ambition. He didn’t covet the title of Sequence Number 1, but he valued his own life greatly. Things like tiered battle ground undoubtedly belong to Sequence Number 1’s rewards, and for the sake of his life, even though he knows the title of Sequence Number 1 is toxic, Wen Yu must obtain the tiered battle ground.

Moreover, according to Bai’s plan, the title of Sequence Number 1 can be revoked...

The two sat in the box, chatting about some trivial topics. Soon, the challenge competition was declared over.

The external aura outside quickly diminished until only 10,100 people’s auras remained in Million Victories Arena.

The Dominator acted swiftly, quickly announcing the rules for the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.

”Challenge competition ends, Sequence Member-Ranking Battle officially begins. The rules are as follows.”

”One: Every professionist who passed the elimination sequence has three opportunities to challenge the Sequence (except for the top ten Sequence members, they can choose any challenge target at will); if they win, they replace the Sequence title and become a Sequence member; if they lose, they can continue challenging other Sequence members. Once the three challenge rights are used up, the challenge fails.”

”Two: A challenged and defeated Sequence member also has three challenge opportunities, with the same rules as above.”

”Three: Once all challengers have used up their challenge opportunities, the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle officially begins. The challenge rules are unordered challenge mode; any Sequence member can initiate challenges to those ranked higher. However, each member has only three challenge opportunities. Once the three challenge times are used up, they can only passively withstand challenges from others. Additionally, those with a lower Sequence number cannot initiate challenges to those with a higher Sequence number.”

”Four: In the challenge arena, both sides will not suffer fatal injuries. Once a fatal injury occurs, the arena’s defenses will nullify it, directly announcing the outcome. Challengers need not worry about their life safety.”

”Five: To prevent exhaustion from ongoing battles, after each challenge ends, everyone’s state will be restored to peak condition!”

Just as the notification ended, another grand voice exploded across the sky above Million Victories Arena.

”To inspire all human race powerful experts, the rewards for the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle are now announced.”

Wen Yu’s heart couldn’t help but sink, because he recognized the owner of this voice...

It wasn’t the Dominator, but the Golden Armor, whom he once met briefly in the Heavenly Palace.

But damn it, Golden Armor’s status isn’t enough. Hopefully, nothing unexpected happens.

Tiered battle ground...

That’s Wen Yu’s only lifeline.
