Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Even after Tang Haofei’s affront, the prestige of Earth’s consciousness remained significant in the eyes of the remaining few.

Upon hearing the order from Earth’s consciousness, Walter, the Sea King, and Skyray all departed, leaving only the Demigod here.

After a while, Earth’s consciousness finally spoke.

”Tang Haofei... hmm, it is my consideration that has erred. This person cannot be trusted.”

Gone was the earlier warm and friendly feeling. Now, as Earth’s consciousness spoke, it radiated a buzzing noise like a clanging bell.

Unfazed, the Demigod simply said, ”Tang Haofei is, after all, the Son of Earth, with innate Origin Energy bestowed upon him. Without barriers, he is an existence capable of advancing to Level 11. Concerning combat power and potential, he is undoubtedly the first in the world. This situation indeed came unexpectedly, but I think we should still strive to establish good relations with him.”

At this moment, the Demigod seemed like an advisor to Earth’s consciousness, which indeed valued the Demigod’s opinions highly.

”So, you’re saying we should try to win him over?”

”Yes, that’s exactly what I mean.”

Earth’s consciousness pondered for a moment, gazing at the respectfully standing Demigod beside it, before lightly sighing.

”To be honest, I still don’t trust Tang Haofei...”

”Do you know how many worlds the Demon Tribe has destroyed?”

”Countless.”

The Demigod understood this; those innumerable treasure lands were each remnants of other worlds. According to military estimates, the number of known destroyed worlds doesn’t fall short of thousands.

”And do you know how many worlds have escaped the apocalypse and eventually defeated the Demon Tribe?”

The Demigod frowned in thought, but after a while still shook his head.

”Not many, I suppose.”

”None at all. Don’t you find it strange? With so many worlds, there should have been some that were either lucky or exceptionally powerful to become a super world. Based on their foundations, they wouldn’t be weaker than the Demon Tribe. Even if their power system is inferior to that of the professionist system, with the appearance of the Exchange Stone Pillar, they could eventually catch up, possibly even surpassing it. There are precedents, such as the former Universe of Immortals and Heroes.”

Universe of Immortals and Heroes, hmm, the Demigod truly didn’t know the secrets of this world...

”The Universe of Immortals and Heroes resisted the demon plague for countless ages. Theoretically, they were one of the big worlds most capable of defeating the Demon Tribe. But at the last moment, the strongest from the Universe of Immortals and Heroes was pinched to death by the Dominator. That guy, the Dominator, wasn’t there to save the world at all.”

The Dominator isn’t a good guy; of course, the Demigod knew this too. With the reminder from Earth’s consciousness, the Demigod understood the intention of Earth’s consciousness.

”You mean Tang Haofei is also not trustworthy?”

”He certainly isn’t! His rebirth stems from me and the Dominator, but the role I played was merely providing energy output; the rest was all orchestrated by the Dominator. I have no idea what tricks the Dominator might have pulled during it. In other words, the Demon Lord is my enemy, and the Dominator is also my enemy, while Wen Yu is the Demon Lord’s pawn and Tang Haofei is the Dominator’s pawn. From my perspective, there’s no difference between Tang Haofei and Wen Yu.”

”My original intention was to let Tang Haofei out to deal with Wen Yu, hopefully leading to mutual destruction. All dying would be best, but now it seems, this Sequence Number 1... sigh...”

Earth’s consciousness let out a light sigh, then turned to look at the Demigod, its eyes showing a glimmer of brilliance.

”But it’s okay, I still have you!”

”You are very special. The Dominator can control part of the authority over the Exchange Stone Pillar. All professionists and even mutant creatures reliant on the professionist system are theoretically under the Dominator’s control. He can strip them of anything at any time, but you are different...”

”You, as an artificial creation, inherently depend on the professionist system. In high terms, it’s described as transcending the Three Realms and not being bound by the Five Elements. The Dominator’s authority doesn’t reach you; in his eyes, you are practically a non-existent person.”

”Therefore, you are the true variable!”

The Demigod remained expressionless, but a surging tidal wave billowed within him.

Everyone used to think that the Demigod Nurturing Vessel only created a super warrior... However, with the reminder from Earth’s consciousness, the Demigod suddenly realized that there might be another way to open this Demigod Nurturing Vessel...

Unlike the professionist system’s control, he himself had ways and powers to strengthen that exceeded the professionist system. Even though he couldn’t enter treasure lands or use the Exchange Stone Pillar, the simple fact that the Dominator couldn’t strip away his power offset all inconveniences.

At that moment, the Demigod’s thoughts raced, quickly realizing the conveniences his identity could bring him.

Compared to Wen Yu and Tang Haofei, it seemed that his own status had more advantages...

Until the sigh of Earth’s consciousness echoed in his ears.

”Now, I only have you...”

”That’s right, you only have me...”

The Demigod responded mildly, still maintaining a respectful façade, but the corners of his mouth curled up slightly beneath the mask.

You only have me... In other words, all the resources you control are mine, aren’t they?

Hmm, I can’t be too blatant in asking for benefits. A little at a time, from small to large, gradually making Earth’s consciousness reliant on me. In this way, in the end, who will claim that remaining Level 11 slot but me?

The Demigod, who once had other small plans, decisively tossed them aside. The golden path lay before him; why take the winding trails?

But one issue needs urgent addressing.

”I still think it’s necessary to create a rift between Tang Haofei and Wen Yu, mainly because I need Wen Yu’s blood. Without a Soul, the backlash from Origin Energy against me is too great, and the only skill capable of creating a Soul is the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill.”

Having laid bare his words, the Demigod’s certain small thoughts needed no further hiding.

”This can be easily solved; I have Wen Yu’s blood right here!”

As Earth’s consciousness finished speaking, it immediately produced a small crystal orb containing charred skin and dark purple blood clots.

Back in the depths of the Earth’s nucleus, when Wen Yu was chasing after the Demon Spirit’s remnants and reached the origin of the Earth’s nucleus, he was burned by the surface of the Earth’s nucleus while infusing Creation Energy... Earth’s consciousness had collected these things, now unexpectedly serving a purpose.

”Here you go.”

The small crystal orb was placed into the Demigod’s hand, leaving him bewildered and surprised by how easily the problem was resolved.

”Now, help me come up with a plan on how to eliminate both Wen Yu and Tang Haofei as these nuisances.”

Earth’s consciousness spoke thus, and after a brief trance, the Demigod carefully placed the small crystal orb into his space ring, then answered, ”How about informing the Dominator of Wen Yu’s affairs? Let Walter enter a treasure land at will, and as long as Walter says that Wen Yu is a reborner, the Dominator will surely receive the message.”

”What about Tang Haofei?”
