Wilderness Survival with Druid System

”Injure me severely?”

Chen Wen was quite puzzled.

But the vice president immediately gave an explanation: ”It’s simple, you have resources. By defeating you, they can obtain more survival materials and resources.”

”Additionally, your rewards and the association’s share will be taken by them.”

”Moreover, you are very talented and a seed player. If they could seriously injure you, Hua Country’s survival team would be at a disadvantage. After all, it takes a long time to recover from injuries.”

”Just casually break your leg bone, and for the next year, you can forget about participating in survival challenges. That would directly waste almost a year’s time for you as a seed player!”

Chen Wen finally understood.

He realized what Liu Yu meant by cruelty and bloodiness.

This survival challenge involves not only facing nature but also competing against contestants from other countries, and even one’s own country!

”How is it? Are you nervous?”

The vice president smiled as he looked at Chen Wen, trying to sense panic or some other emotions from this young man.

But Chen Wen just calmly smiled: ”Not really, after all, we have an old saying in Hua Country, ’The joy of fighting against Heaven is without limits! The joy of fighting against Earth is without limits! The joy of fighting against people is without limits!’”

”If someone wants to seriously injure me, they better be careful themselves. After all, I have not suffered any particularly serious injury in survival so far.”

Except for when I first drifted to the deserted island.

This statement made the vice president’s eyes widen in surprise: ”I know this saying. Very good, your mindset is great and you’re very confident.”

After saying that, he smiled and said, ”Well then, prepare well. I am looking forward to your performance.”

...

After seeing off the rather gossip-prone vice president.

Chen Wen also began resting and preparing.

On one hand, he needed to pay attention to contestants worth noting.

On the other hand, he also needed to gather certain information.

To look at the local regulations regarding the Eight Extremes Challenge, such as which animals are not allowed to hunt and which plants are not edible, etc.

Additionally, Chen Wen also searched for his ”menu,” which included common animals in the Great Sand Desert and the Kimberley Plateau.

It was impossible to go through everything, so Chen Wen only focused on key animals.

Such as various edible insects, venomous snakes, and some larger animals.

Moreover, Chen Wen found some crucial information.

The underground water resources in the Great Sand Desert are abundant.

In the desert, those rock desert and barren areas, as long as you can find dried-up riverbeds and follow them upstream, you can definitely find where the underground water flows out.

In extremely water-scarce conditions, entering such places can lead to potable water sources.

However, such places are also very dangerous.

Not only are they dark and dreary, but they also contain a large number of venomous insects and snakes, and might even attract some predators coming to drink water.

Therefore, Australia’s Survival Association advises participants to enter such places with caution.

After reviewing the information, other team members gradually arrived.

Chen Wen also met up with them.

Hua Yun goes without saying, Chen Wen’s best buddy.

Though she’s a female survivor, her survival skills are not just talk.

This time in the survival challenge, Hua Yun is determined to succeed.

Having experience collaborating in Yukon Territory, Hua Yun trusts Chen Wen completely.

She listens to Chen Wen unconditionally.

As for Feng Zhong and Ding Jinyu.

These two can’t stand Chen Wen, and they don’t want to listen to him or cooperate with him.

Chen Wen naturally wouldn’t try to ingratiate himself.

Apart from the necessary meeting, he didn’t contact them again.

After all, Chen Wen chose to team up with Feng Zhong this time just to annoy him.

As for Xu Qiang.

This guy obviously has his own plans and companions, after negotiating with Chen Wen.

He organized the experience from his last survival into over ten thousand words of paper material and handed it to Chen Wen.

”I’m here this time because I’ve arranged to team up with certain survivors from other countries; we’ve collaborated quite a few times before, so...”

Xu Qiang wore a rare awkward expression when he said this.

Chen Wen chuckled and made a grand gesture: ”Don’t worry about it, Senior Xu Qiang, you do what you need to do.”

Xu Qiang nodded and smiled, then handed over the information he organized to Chen Wen.

Upon seeing the information, Chen Wen was quite surprised.

It included many small details that opened his eyes.

Like how to deal with sandstorms, how to determine if an oasis is dangerous, how to identify direction facing changed sand dunes after a sandstorm, etc.

Extremely comprehensive!

Chen Wen was genuinely moved.

Look at this! Look at this!

Compared to this, Feng Zhong’s attitude completely plummeted into the ground!

Chen Wen did not keep this knowledge to himself.

He also copied the information he organized regarding animals and gave a copy to Xu Qiang.

In the research of animals for this survival challenge, almost no one can surpass Chen Wen!

Xu Qiang was also quite delighted.

”Captain, with that, let’s meet after the competition!”

Xu Qiang made a bow with hands cupped to Chen Wen: ”If we meet during the competition, we won’t be battling against each other. My team includes four other survivors, two from Portugal and two from Australia, none of whom have grudges against Hua Country or are particularly combative.”

”Yes, if we encounter each other, I’ll help you guys as well.”

Chen Wen replied with a smile.

But Xu Qiang didn’t take it to heart.

Help?

Let’s not discuss whether we would encounter each other, even if we did, wouldn’t it be us helping you?

Xu Qiang didn’t say much; it’s all on account of Chen Wen readily agreeing for him to leave the team and share the information.

After all, choosing to team up with outsiders already showed that Xu Qiang didn’t think highly of them.

After seeing Xu Qiang off.

Chen Wen and Hua Yun glanced at each other, with a bit of a wry smile on their faces.

”What does this mean?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but say: ”Are we being rejected?”

Hua Yun shook her head: ”No, this means they don’t see our potential!”

”Well said!”

Chen Wen chuckled and said: ”I hope they don’t regret it!”

But speaking of it.

”Are we really going to cooperate as just the two of us?”

Hua Yun asked.

Chen Wen thought for a while and said: ”I still have connections, I’ll ask Adam. This guy, though not always lucky, never made it into the top few in survival, but he’s capable. He’s versatile, having him around can cover us.”

This suggestion was fine.

Hua Yun also acknowledged Adam’s proficiency and approved him joining their team.

”What do you think about Gaston?”

Chen Wen asked.

Upon hearing this name, Hua Yun couldn’t help but scoff: ”Him?”

Well.

It seems calling old Gaston is unlikely.

Chen Wen shook his head.

He actually wanted to recruit Gaston; this guy isn’t very capable otherwise, but he’s strong and lucky, though not very bright.

He could be useful for labor.

If Gaston’s good luck triggers, it might save a lot of effort.

This moment Hua Yun said: ”If you really want, you can invite him and see if he comes.”

”Alright.”

Chen Wen finished speaking and found another person: ”Fred! Seems this brother is here too! He’s part of a Russian team, but he’s not a seed player, what do you think of him?”

”Possible, though not very bright, but has strength and battle capability. With him around, other teams would have to think twice when encountering us.”

Hua Yun confirmed.

”So let’s include him!”

Once Chen Wen finalized his team members, he began contacting them.
