Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Three days later, with the commencement of the association’s training officially underway.

Chen Wen only then realized just how many members the Survival Association had.

”There must be fifty people here, right? And they’re all wanting to participate in the challenge?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but whisper to Hua Yun, ”How many people are in the association anyway?”

Hua Yun whispered back, ”A lot, just counting the official ones, not including the unofficial and honorary members, it’s estimated to be two or three hundred.”

This number is not small on a national scale.

After all, although wilderness survival is a popular sport in this world, truly having the opportunity, money, and energy to try it is still for a minority.

Chen Wen nodded slightly, gaining a clear understanding of the association’s size.

Most of the people here were strangers to Chen Wen, only a few were familiar faces to him.

Such as those few vice presidents.

Seeing Feng Zhong sitting at the front, Chen Wen turned his head.

This person previously conspired with that little devil Yoshikawa Feng to deal with him, right at this Eight Extremes Challenge.

However, when it truly comes to the wilderness, it’s hard to say who will deal with whom.

...

The brief commotion came to a complete stop with the entrance of Liu Yu and a middle-aged man with a square face.

No need to say much about Liu Yu.

Legendary survivalist, adventurer, explorer of Hua Country, vice president of the Hua Country Exploration Association, and branch president of the Survival Association.

Yet, he ceded the main seat, letting the middle-aged man take it.

This man should be the president of the Hua Country Exploration Association.

Chen Wen remained expressionless, observing the reactions of the other members.

As he expected, the others were more or less nervous, Hua Yun included.

”Good morning, everyone.”

The president was not one for long-winded speeches, giving a brief courtesy before saying, ”This training is organized entirely by Mr. Liu, so I won’t say much. I just hope everyone can get a comprehensive understanding of the Eight Extremes Challenge in the shortest time possible.”

”Participants need to be selected from the best, ensuring we can achieve the best results in the challenge. I won’t say more, Mr. Liu, over to you.”

Liu Yu nodded, taking over the conversation, ”The president is right, our task over these three days is to give everyone a comprehensive understanding of the Eight Extremes Challenge in the shortest time possible, and to select two teams, totaling ten participants, and also to choose seed players within these three days.”

Seed players!

The term made many people’s breathing slightly heavier.

”Sun, hand out the materials to everyone.”

Liu Yu didn’t say much more, letting the person standing at the door walk in.

As his words fell, Sun, the assistant Chen Wen had met at the headquarters before, walked in carrying a thick stack of materials.

Hua Yun, sitting in the front, hurried to help Sun distribute the materials, giving everyone a copy.

When it was Chen Wen’s turn, Sun had a deep impression of Chen Wen.

Or rather, there weren’t many people in Hua Country, especially young people, who didn’t know Chen Wen now.

She winked at Chen Wen, pulling out a marked set of materials and handing it to him.

Chen Wen took the materials and placed them on the table.

He noticed that this set was thicker than what the other participants received.

Is this special treatment?

Chen Wen thought expressionlessly.

Liu Yu could be considered his benefactor; he had taken good care of him, both in survival resources and life.

Except for occasionally introducing girls of similar age, which made Chen Wen a bit frustrated.

Once the materials were distributed.

Liu Yu cleared his throat, exchanging a glance with the main president next to him.

After receiving the other’s nod of approval.

Liu Yu finally said, ”The Eight Extremes Challenge, you all have had some understanding before, but here I need to explain the nature of this challenge.”

”This challenge originated from the Antarctic Challenge of those years, but in the days afterward, enriched by adventurers from around the world, it finally evolved into what it is now.”

”The current Eight Extremes Challenge is a survival competition jointly organized by survival associations worldwide, with locations in eight of the world’s most extreme survival areas.”

”Previously, the names of these areas were not disclosed, but with the kickoff of this Eight Extremes Challenge, these eight regions have been revealed to you.”

”According to the foreigners’ way of saying it, these challenges all have rather... melodramatic names.”

”I’ll briefly say the names of these eight challenges.”

”The first one, Lin Ji, is called Extreme Cold Forest, survival in the primeval forest of Western Siberia.”

”The second, Desolate Extreme, also called Venomous Wasteland, is survival in the desert and barren lands of Australia’s interiors.”

”The third, Beast Extreme, also called Breath of the Wilderness, involves surviving in the Serengeti Grassland.”

”The fourth, Heat Extreme, also called Deadly Dust, is survival in the Sahara Desert.”

”The fifth, Marsh Extreme, also known as Despairing Wetlands, involves survival in the Amazon Rainforest.”

”The sixth, Mountain Extreme, also called Lonely Sacred Mountain, involves surviving in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.”

”The seventh, Cold Extreme, also known as Exiled Ice Desert, involves survival on the Antarctic Ice Sheet.”

”The eighth, Ocean Extreme, also called Azure Death Domain, is survival in the Pacific Ocean.”

After announcing the names of the eight challenges consecutively, Liu Yu couldn’t help but take a sip of tea to rest his throat and give everyone time to react.

Upon hearing the increasingly daunting locations, everyone’s expressions changed.

And after the initial shock of the group, Liu Yu continued.

”Each of the eight challenges has a fixed time and unique rules, and each challenge also has corresponding historical events, all of which are in the materials given to you, so I won’t say more. Review the materials yourselves.”

”What I want to say is, the difficulty of these eight challenges is much greater than you previously imagined! Just take myself, I’ve completed six of them, but each time after completion, I had to lie in bed for a month, or even three to four months, before being ready for the next one. I gave everything to complete those six challenges.”

Saying this, Liu Yu’s expression turned a bit somber: ”The remaining two challenges I can’t complete anymore, so now it’s your turn, and let’s be clear, the Eight Extremes Challenge is far more perilous than your previous survival challenges.”

”Not to mention, your past survival challenges had cameras and show crews following, ensuring a great deal of safety, but in the Eight Extremes Challenge, there are no shows or crew!”

”You will only be carrying a small drone capable of intelligent tracking, which will record your actions. Though the drone will stream footage live, many times when the drone is damaged, and you can’t reach a fixed point for replacement, during that time, your life safety is not assured at all!”

”So, in the Eight Extremes Challenge, injuries, even serious injuries, are quite common, and even death has occurred in the Eight Extremes Challenge!”

Saying this, Liu Yu paused, ”If you’re afraid, it’s still not too late to withdraw now.”
