Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 987: Chapter 986: It’s Time to Build a Mage Tower

At first, Asuna and the others were somewhat nervous, but soon they adapted to the atmosphere here and started strolling the streets with Fang Zheng.

Compared to before, the town now seemed even more lively. In the distance, on the electronic screens, you could see Farron Xiuxiu singing and dancing, and on the walls, there were posters and concert announcements from the idol Tekyo San. The little girls were running back and forth in the streets, and occasionally someone would greet Fang Zheng.

”This place is really nice...”

Looking at the town before her, Asuna couldn’t help but sigh, and Fang Zheng just smiled slightly.

”If you like it, you can live here. Not just you, Eiriri, Black Cat, and Yuki can all choose to live here, especially Yuki...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng turned his head and looked at Yuki beside him.

”Your situation is quite special, so I want to ask your opinion. You need to understand one thing. After reincarnating as an Elf, your age will no longer increase. So, do you wish to live in this world? Or return to your original world? The Heavenly Dao Palace also has schools, and the knowledge taught there is undoubtedly much broader than the world you come from. Also, staying here, you don’t have to worry about your identity being exposed.”

”Ugh... But I also want to go to school with Asuna and the others...”

Hearing this, Yuki started to consider it with some trouble, while Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders.

”You don’t need to worry about that. The time flow between the Heavenly Dao Palace and any world is offset. Even if Asuna’s side has a day of classes, only ten minutes have passed here. Similarly, if you stay here for a day, only ten minutes will have passed there.”

Hearing this, Black Cat’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”So we can come to this world to have fun right after school in our world, then go back to do our homework? And come again after finishing it?”

... You really are a smart cookie.

Facing Black Cat’s inquiry, Fang Zheng helplessly rolled his eyes. Being able to have unlimited time is almost every child’s biggest dream, and if it were him, he’d probably want to play like that too...

”Don’t forget, you also have to learn magic, which means that even if you come to this world, you still need to study.”

Fang Zheng doused Black Cat with a bit of cold water.

”So, are you planning to play, or are you planning to study?”

”Ugh...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Black Cat also furrowed her brows in distress, then she made a difficult decision.

”I want to learn magic! The dark magic power inside me is already...”

”Ahem, Black Cat, hold on.”

Seeing Black Cat about to dive into her chūnibyō syndrome, Fang Zheng hurriedly stopped her.

”I must say in advance, in this world, it’s better not to always speak of things like corruption or dark magic power, because there are real demons and cultists here. Saying such things might get you caught as a cultist.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng stared at Black Cat.

”I’m serious, not joking. People in this world wouldn’t think that these things you’re saying are cool. On the contrary, they’re terrified and loathe them.”

”Yikes——!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s warning, Black Cat’s face turned pale, and she hurriedly nodded her head.

”I-I understand...”

Fang Zheng was giving Black Cat a small warning that, at least within the Heavenly Dao Palace, it’s okay for her to act out her chūnibyō syndrome, but since every world has its own rules, acting like that in her own world is one thing, but here it’s certainly not a good choice.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, can we bring others here?”

At this moment, Eiriri raised another question.

”The Raid Group members can, but other people... better not tell them. You should be very aware that, for you, we count as visitors from Another World. I don’t intend to affect your world too much. But if your government’s authorities discover my existence, that’s a different story.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng looked at Eiriri.

”Do you understand?”

”Understood! So we, members of the Raid Group, can come here to play, right!”

”That’s about right.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t worried about anything going wrong. The reason he first let Eiriri, Black Cat, and Asuna come was because they are the closest to him. Fang Zheng would naturally give them a certain ”privilege.” As for the other members of the Raid Group, Fang Zheng certainly wouldn’t play favorites since they are comrades who fought side by side until the end, entrusting their lives to one another. They, of course, can also come to this world.

Moreover, even if this information got leaked, it wouldn’t be too much trouble. If Fang Zheng wanted, he could silently replace all the top officials of the Game World, just like he did with the Zerg in the Black World. But Fang Zheng didn’t intend to do that... Well, at least for now, he wouldn’t choose to do so.

”Then can I live with Mr. Fang Zheng?”

Unlike the indecisive Asuna, Eiriri quickly made a decision, and Fang Zheng nodded.

”Of course, if you want to live in my Western Mansion, that’s no problem.”

”Then let’s make it so!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Eiriri clapped her hands.

”We’ll come here to meet after finishing classes over there, spend a day at Mr. Fang Zheng’s place, do our homework, and go back to prepare for classes the next day! Isn’t that right, Asuna?”

”Ah... well...”

Facing Eiriri’s inquiry, Asuna’s expression was slightly delicate as she nodded.

”Of course, no problem...”

Listening to Eiriri and Asuna’s conversation, Fang Zheng also nodded quietly. The reason he was doing this was because this world obviously suited interacting with his side better. In fact, Fang Zheng not only planned to let Asuna and the others visit this world but also intended to let Natsuse and the others see Asuna’s world.

Of course, that would need to be done slowly.

But for Fang Zheng now, there was one more issue to address.

And that’s how to teach Black Cat magic.

Fang Zheng promised to teach Black Cat magic not on a whim, as he had already been considering letting some of the children in Heavenly Dao Palace learn magic. Because magic from the Main World is quite useful, and even in many aspects, being able to use magic when entering other worlds could provide more means of self-protection.

However, the current problem is that Fang Zheng doesn’t have enough teaching resources on hand to complete this idea. Although he mostly learned magic on his own back then, he still received guidance from his six-pack abs prophecy mentor. As the saying goes, a master leads you to the door; the rest is up to you. And the premise is being led to the door.

If you can’t even get through the door, no matter how much you learn, it’s all in vain?

It seems...

With this in mind, Fang Zheng made a decision.

It’s time to reach out to the Magitech Nation and the Tower of Heaven.
