Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 984: Chapter 983: Everything You Should Know (Part 3)

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, the three girls immediately widened their eyes in astonishment. They looked at the emaciated girl on the sickbed, utterly unable to believe their eyes.

”Wait, Mr. Fang Zheng, what’s going on? How did Yuki become like this?”

”Is it because of the influence of the Death Game?”

If what Fang Zheng had just shown them was surprising, then now they were utterly shocked. As mentioned earlier, the cheerful and innocent Yuki, always full of vitality and energy, was the guild’s source of joy. Everyone liked her, which made the scene before their eyes even more shocking.

”No, it’s not related to that game. In fact, Yuki was already like this before entering the game...”

At this moment, Fang Zheng no longer concealed the truth and quickly explained Yuki’s situation to the three of them. After listening to Fang Zheng’s explanation, all three of them revealed expressions of disbelief.

The Yuki, always full of spirit, had fallen prey to such a terrible illness and was bedridden?

”Frankly, with Yuki’s condition, she could have collapsed at any moment during the strategy session. Truth be told, it was already a significant effort for her to last until the strategy session ended. But now, her life is almost at its end.”

Fang Zheng walked to the window and looked at the unconscious girl inside.

”At most, two days... or maybe she can hold on for three days.”

”How could this be...”

Upon hearing the news, Asuna’s legs suddenly went weak, and she fell to the ground, while Black Cat frowned and remained silent. Then, as if something occurred to her, she looked toward Fang Zheng.

”So, do you have a way, Mr. Fang Zheng? You should have a way, right? If what you say is true, then you have a way to save Yuki, right?”

”Indeed.”

Facing Black Cat’s inquiry, Fang Zheng nodded.

”In fact, I do have a method to save Yuki, but the process might be painful, which is why I called you here, hoping you can accompany her. With your presence, she should be able to endure the pain.”

”There’s really a way? What method?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Eiriri also turned eagerly to ask, and Fang Zheng hesitated for a moment before answering.

”I plan to transform Yuki into an Elf.”

”Elf?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, the three of them were stunned, then Eiriri asked with some confusion.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, you mean like the pointy-eared, long-lived elves in RPGs...”

”Although those are indeed elves, that’s not the kind I’m referring to.”

At this point, Fang Zheng nodded towards Kurumi.

”You’ve all seen Kurumi, right? In fact, she’s an Elf.”

”Eh?”

Upon hearing this, the three girls jumped, hastily moving over to examine Kurumi carefully. Facing their stares, Kurumi only smiled without a hint of unease.

”Hmm, she doesn’t seem very different from ordinary humans?”

”But her power is incomparable.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng pressed a button, and with a hissing sound, the next moment, the sealed sterile room door opened.

”Come in. You’re already here, so don’t waste any more time. The rest can be discussed once everything is over.”

”...”

Although there were still many questions deep inside, the three of them remained silent, obediently following Fang Zheng and the others into the sterile room. — Just as Fang Zheng said, there were many questions inside them, but these questions could be asked after Yuki was healed.

Sure enough, when they reached the bedside, Yuki, originally in slumber, seemed to sense their arrival, opening her eyes slightly and giving them a strained smile.

”Asuna... sister... Eiri... Sister Eri... Sister... Black Cat... sister... you... came...”

Yuki’s voice was so faint that if one didn’t listen carefully, it would be utterly inaudible, and Asuna hurriedly came closer, tightly holding Yuki’s hand, gazing intently at her.

”Yuki...”

”Please... don’t... everyone...”

Looking at Asuna, Eiriri, and Black Cat’s expressions, Yuki spoke softly.

”Being able... to spend two years... with everyone, I’m truly... happy...”

”Cough.”

Seeing the scene unfolding like someone’s final words, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but cough, interrupting the ”touching” exchange between both sides.

”Yuki, you already know the specifics. I’ll ask you again, are you willing to be transformed into an Elf? Let me say first, once you’re transformed into an Elf, your life, your soul, will all belong to me... do you understand what I mean?”

”...Yes... Brother Fang Zheng...”

Yuki blinked, indicating a nod.

”I understand...

Listening to the conversation between the two, Eiriri subtly tugged at Black Cat and whispered in her ear.

”Don’t you think this sounds like a Demon tempting a naive girl?”

”If you say it that way, it does sound a bit like that...”

”That’s enough, you two!”

Fang Zheng rolled his eyes helplessly. He didn’t bring them here to change the atmosphere. If he’d known, he would have completed Yuki’s transformation before meeting them...

”Alright, let’s begin. You three step back first.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, Asuna reluctantly released Yuki’s hand, then stood with Eiriri and Black Cat behind Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng extended his hand and snapped his fingers gently.

”Sealing.”

With Fang Zheng’s words, a sudden gust burst out, causing them to instinctively close their eyes. When they reopened them, what they saw completely stunned them.

An endless sea of clouds, a pure white plaza, towering walls and gates, countless spires looming within the clouds, and the brilliant sunshine illuminating every corner of the Supreme Heaven, revealing the most beautiful side of this City in the Clouds.

This enchanting scene was almost suffocating, leaving Eiriri, Black Cat, and Asuna with mouths agape, staring dazedly at everything before them. Even Yuki, lying on the sickbed, had her eyes lit up with wonder at the beautiful sight before her.

”Is... is this... Heaven?”

”This is Supreme Heaven, though it differs from the traditional idea of Heaven. But that doesn’t matter.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand, and in the next moment, the tubes attached to Yuki’s body detached automatically, and the frail girl hovered mid-air. Fang Zheng raised his right hand, drawing in the air, and with a flash of radiance, a purple, crystal-like stone appeared in his hand in an instant.

It was one of Fang Zheng’s three Spirit Crystals.

”Be prepared, this might be a very painful process.”

Fang Zheng gazed at Yuki, saying a few more words. It was his first time testing the Spirit Crystal on a patient. Although Kurumi ensured it should be fine, Yuki’s physical condition was indeed too poor. As of now, Fang Zheng had only two options: either use the Spirit Crystal to transform Yuki into an Elf, or let the Zerg reconfigure Yuki.

But anyone would probably choose the former, rather than the latter, due to the Queen of Blades’ appearance... cough cough, let’s not talk about it, it’s too lamentable.

Bringing his thoughts back, Fang Zheng nodded to Yuki and then flicked his fingers lightly.

”Ding———!”

With a soft sound, the Spirit Crystal instantly transformed into a Light Beam, penetrating Yuki’s chest. Yuki shuddered violently, then went limp as if lifeless.

”Yuki!!”

Seeing this, Asuna couldn’t help but cry out in worry, but Eiriri grabbed her tightly. In truth, Eiriri herself was anxiously watching the floating girl closely. If not for Black Cat holding her hand, Eiriri might have been trembling uncontrollably as well.

”Boom!!”

At this moment, suddenly, accompanied by the roaring of thunder, a purple lightning bolt descended from the sky, striking Yuki heavily, followed by a berserk whirlwind that started violently swirling and roaring, forming a vortex with the girl at its center!
