Chapter 969: Chapter 968: Fierce Battle on the 100th Floor

Fang Zheng gave everyone a week to adjust and rest, and after that, finally, the day arrived.

Final raid day.

”Everything is ready.”

Fang Zheng checked his equipment and items once again, then he looked up at Ester and Restia in front of him.

”Are you ready too?”

”Yes, Master.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Ester nodded slightly, and Restia also chuckled softly.

”Of course, Master, we are ready. Next, it’s time for the final battle.”

”Daddy...”

Hearing this, Yui stood up, looking at Fang Zheng uneasily, while Fang Zheng looked at Yui and reached out to touch her hair.

”Don’t worry, Yui. After everything is over, I will take you away from this world.”

”Hmm!!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Yui also grinned, nodding forcefully.

”Daddy, go for it!”

”Rest assured, I won’t lose.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng opened the door and walked out of the room.

When he arrived at the guild’s plaza, led by Asuna and Yuki, all the members of the Dark Moon Sword Guild stood there quietly, waiting for his arrival.

Fang Zheng led Ester and Restia to the front of everyone. He looked ahead, at the girls in front of him, then raised his hand.

”As you all know, the day has finally arrived.”

”.........”

”Since we were trapped in this game, two years, three months and fifteen days have passed. We’ve come a long way, facing many dangers and setbacks. But, we overcame them and made it to this point. Today is the day to end it all!”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng suddenly clenched his fist, and at the same time, the girls anxiously eyed him.

”We will proceed to the hundredth layer of the Palace of Red Jade, defeat the final BOSS, thus escaping this world and returning to reality.”

At this point, Fang Zheng looked at everyone in front of him one by one.

”Although we are trapped in this world, I am glad to have met you, to live and fight alongside you. But don’t worry, this is merely a temporary separation. After leaving this world, we will reunite in the real world. At that time...... we will celebrate again......!”

Speaking, Fang Zheng raised his Greatsword.

”The victory feast of the hundredth layer BOSS raid!”

”Ohhhhhhh!!”

Along with Fang Zheng’s words, the others also picked up their weapons, raising them, while shouting excitedly.

”Go for it, big brother, big sister, you must win!”

”You must survive!”

”Go for it!!”

”Victory belongs to us!!”

Very good.

Watching the high-spirited girls, Fang Zheng nodded, then he gripped the Longsword and pointed forward.

”Depart!”

Aincrad, hundredth layer, Palace of Red Jade.

”I really didn’t expect we actually arrived here.”

Looking at the magnificent and towering palace in front, Black Snow Princess couldn’t help but sigh.

”Thinking back, it seems like the game’s launch was just yesterday......”

”But we’ve been here for two years now, Black Snow Princess.”

Ang, holding the Heavy Axe, came over smiling, looking at Black Snow Princess.

”Now, it’s time to leave this world and return home.”

”Indeed.........”

Upon hearing Ang’s words, Black Snow Princess nodded.

”We’re just waiting for the Dark Moon Sword......”

”We’ve already arrived.”

However, before Black Snow Princess’s words fell, Fang Zheng’s voice emerged from behind the two, then Fang Zheng walked over, nodding to both of them.

”You’re here.”

”We were waiting for you, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Seeing Fang Zheng appear, the two also breathed a sigh of relief. However, Fang Zheng didn’t say anything more, just made a gesture.

”Let’s go.”

Along the way, no one spoke until they reached the gates of the Palace of Red Jade.

The lord’s gate of the Palace of Red Jade was also red, looking as if it were stained with blood, with a hint of gaudy grandeur—this designer definitely couldn’t handle aesthetics, otherwise how could they create such an unsightly landscape.

But for Fang Zheng, that didn’t matter anymore.

”Everything that needed to be said and done, we’ve done it.”

Standing at the gate, Fang Zheng looked back once more at the players behind him. This time, including the Dark Nebula and the Red Knight Order, a total of thirty-five players were participating in the raid. Counting Fang Zheng’s fifteen-member raid group, it fit exactly into two groups of twenty-five. The Red Knight Order mostly consisted of heavy armor bearers with large shields and longswords, focusing on defense, while the Dark Nebula coordinated with Fang Zheng to form a ten-member longbow archer team.

In cooperation, it was basically the Dark Nebula coordinating with Fang Zheng’s raid group for output, while the Red Knight Order protected the Dark Nebula’s archers. Along the way, they were invincible.

”Next, it’s the final battle, everyone stay sharp, go!”

Saying this, Fang Zheng directly reached out and pushed open the gate, then went in first. Immediately, the others followed closely, entering the lord’s room of the final BOSS.

The lord’s room of the final BOSS looked like a gigantic circular hollow space, and standing within it was a nearly ten-meter-tall female creature, its body deathly white, clad in red battle armor, holding a sword in one hand and a long spear in the other. Several bright red circular decorations extended from the white ornaments at the top of its head.

”So big...”

Seeing the BOSS in front of them, everyone gasped. They had fought large BOSSs before, but this kind of powerful BOSS full of oppressive aura was something they were encountering for the first time.

At this moment, the BOSS also noticed the people entering the battle domain. It raised its head, coldly staring at the enemies before it.

The next moment, the originally open door slammed shut.

”Charge!!”

With the heavy sound of the door closing, the ultimate BOSS battle in this death game world began.

Fang Zheng roared, holding a greatsword and a firearm, and charged forward. Seeing Fang Zheng’s charge, the final BOSS also tightened its grip on the long spear in its right hand and thrust it fiercely towards Fang Zheng!

”Whoosh!!!”

The long spear, as large as a chimney, whistled as it stabbed towards Fang Zheng. Just as it thrust, Fang Zheng had already rolled to dodge the BOSS’s attack. However, at the same time, the BOSS raised the greatsword in its other hand, swinging it down at Fang Zheng with force.

Simultaneously, Fang Zheng raised his firearm!

”Bang!!”

The final BOSS’s movements paused almost imperceptibly for a moment but continued to swing down, while Fang Zheng raised the greatsword in his hand, forcefully swinging it against the descending blade!

”Clang!!”

With the sound of metal clashing, this time the BOSS’s attack was finally blocked, yet simultaneously, Fang Zheng also fell into a state of rigidity.

”Switch!”

”Haaaaa......!!”

With Fang Zheng’s call, Ester, Restia, Asuna, and Yuki rushed out from the left and right, their weapons flashing with sword light as they struck down towards the massive body of the final BOSS!

However, their weapons did not hit the BOSS as usual to cause damage. Instead, just as their weapons were about to hit the BOSS, a shield appeared out of thin air, blocking their attack.

”Double defense!”

Seeing this scene, the other players were also surprised. Generally, if a BOSS’s attack was deflected, they could directly deal damage. But the final BOSS, worthy of being the final BOSS, wasn’t so easily defeated by the players.

”Switch!”

Failing to hit the mark, the four quickly retreated. Then Leafa and Lingyin, Black Snow Princess, and Ang quickly followed, launching another attack on the BOSS!

This time, the BOSS’s shield was finally shattered under the joint strike of everyone!

”Release the arrows!!”

Already prepared, Shinong issued the command while raising her longbow. With her command, the longbow archers of the Dark Nebula also raised their bows and arrows, aimed at the BOSS ahead, and released the arrows!!

Numerous arrows whistled through the air, hitting the BOSS’s body, instantly reducing the BOSS’s health slightly. At this moment, Fang Zheng also finished the rigidity time, rolling to the BOSS’s feet, and then swung the greatsword in his hand fiercely, carrying sword light as it slashed at the BOSS’s body.

In this round of fierce assault, one of the BOSS’s ten health bars was already emptied. However, being the final BOSS, it naturally wouldn’t be so easily defeated.

”Crack... crack...”

Fang Zheng keenly noticed that the ground under the BOSS’s feet began to fracture and burst. Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng was suddenly alarmed and swiftly withdrew.

”Everyone, retreat! Raise shields!”

Before Fang Zheng’s words even fell, the ground at the feet of the final BOSS suddenly cracked open, and dozens of thick and huge roots shot out from beneath the floor, rushing towards the players. At this moment, Aoba and Seven Seas also hurried forward, facing the roots that were lunging at them, raising their shields, and stabbing the longsword down with force.

”Crack———!”

In the next moment, the heavy shield immediately unfolded, turning into a solid fortress. The girls swiftly gathered together, taking cover behind the shield wall. Subsequently, the strikes forged from the roots flew out and heavily impacted on the shield wall of Aoba and Seven Seas, as well as the shield formation formed by the Red Knight Order in the rear.

”Uwaa———!!”

Though Aoba and Seven Seas blocked the attack, the Red Knight Order behind them wasn’t as lucky. Several shield-bearing knights were caught off guard, being sent flying instantly.

However, the final BOSS’s attack clearly didn’t stop there. Fang Zheng saw it suddenly lift its head, and then, a seven-colored radiance appeared from the beads on top of the final BOSS’s head, transforming into arrows of light that blasted towards everyone!
