Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The arrival of the Heavenly Dao Palace had completely stirred up Golden Bay.

From the representatives of various noble forces to the guards and servants, nearly everyone was discussing these colossal beings. Everyone was filled with curiosity and questions about this fleet’s sudden appearance. Which power did this fleet belong to? Where did they come from? Who exactly were they?

No one knew the answers, only that those warships quietly hovered above the sky near Golden Bay, their massive bodies demonstrating an overpowering presence.

Soon, a rumor rapidly spread throughout Golden Bay.

This fleet did not belong to mortals but to deities!

At first, everyone’s reaction to these rumors was to find them utterly absurd. Yet, upon further thought, they felt that this was the only acceptable explanation! After all, the warships were so vast and all made of metal. Not to consider what kind of technology it would take to keep such enormous steel warships floating in the sky, but just the manufacturing process itself, even if the four nations worked together, would be incredibly challenging. This implied that the warships were from an organization even more powerful than the four countries combined.

But if such a powerful organization did exist, why had it never appeared throughout the centuries on this continent?

Thus, there was only one reasonable explanation: this fleet did not belong to humans.

Yes, it must be so!

The more people thought about it, the more they believed this to be the truth. The fact that Fang Zheng was a Holy Spirit Knight was no longer a secret, and many high-ranking nobles were well aware of it. However, not many truly understood the affairs of the Holy Spirit Knight. They only knew that according to existing records, a Holy Spirit Knight would possess special powers bestowed by a Goddess and would also have Angels guarding them.

These two points fitted Fang Zheng perfectly. He possessed power far beyond his age and could even summon the Angel Legion to battle. With this in mind, suddenly the idea of this young man leading a divine fleet didn’t seem so far-fetched?

As for this rumor, the first to accept it were naturally the people of the Kingdom of the Holy Church. Many among them were devout followers of the Sanctuary, thus more inclined to believe this. However, people from the Kingdom of Flame, the Land of Wealth, and the Magitech Nation were skeptical about this rumor, especially the Kingdom of Flame...

”I don’t believe that’s any divine fleet!”

Lieutenant General John, with a face as grim as an impending storm, slammed his hand on the table, his face showing no trace of a smile upon returning to his room. Before him, the members of the Kingdom of Flame’s fleet dared not even breathe, especially the captain of the Forward Ship, who was no longer as bold as before, his whole body drenched as if he had just been fished out of water (which was indeed the case). Additionally, his hair was adorned with a few strands of seaweed, which looked quite comical.

”The so-called divine fleet is just a lie; those tricksters, if they had such power, would they have let us live until now?”

In the continent, the Kingdom of Flame was the most steadfast in opposing the Kingdom of the Holy Church. They held individual free will as the supreme existence and did not recognize the order preached by the Kingdom of the Holy Church, considering it a religious tool to maintain governance, a relic of an outdated civilization. Individual freedom was most important, and no will should override freedom.

”Your Excellency, what should we do now?”

Upon hearing his subordinate’s query, Lieutenant General John angrily sat down on the chair.

”What else can we do? What do those dead fat pigs think?”

”Caron seems to be planning to negotiate with the other side and demand compensation for the repairs of the Forward Ship...”

”Hahahaha...”

Upon hearing this, Lieutenant General John could not help but scoff.

”Just as I thought, a bunch of money-grubbing fools; I bet even if the Devil Grand Duke came, they wouldn’t give up their money... But we can’t just let this go. If we shut up and hang our heads in shame, it will only make those charlatans even more smug! We must also show our stance!”

As he spoke, Lieutenant General John pointed his finger on the table, making up his mind.

”If that’s the case, then wait until the ceremony begins and find an opportunity to challenge that young man!”

”Haah...?”

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned. In fact, they had already planned this since the purpose of their visit from the Kingdom of Flame was to suppress the influence of the Kingdom of the Holy Church. However, their original plan was to target the fleet of the Kingdom of the Holy Church, but they hadn’t expected a Holy Spirit Knight to emerge halfway through and, not only fail to show off but also get slapped into the water, turning the Kingdom of Flame into a laughingstock.

Thinking about this made everyone furious. After Fang Zheng left, his other warships had gone out to the open sea to have their own fun. Thus, other fleets could dock in sequence, with the Kingdom of the Holy Church and the Magitech Nation being the first to enter, while the Kingdom of Flame and the Land of Wealth suffered a bit. They were delayed outside due to repairs needed for the Forward Ship; hence, they were the last to enter the dock.

Moreover, after they docked at the airfield, almost everyone who saw them praised the Forward Ship as truly living up to its reputation, for it was indeed formidable to have been hit by such a large warship and yet managed to dock shakily... At that moment, the people had nothing in mind but curses.

Now, recalling that incident was truly infuriating!

However...

”Do we really want to do this, Your Excellency? The identity of the other party is not clear. Is it wise to rush into a conflict with them?”

Although everyone indeed desired revenge, given the current circumstances, they were reluctant to face off directly against a force with such a vast fleet. However, Lieutenant General John was clearly prepared, and he sneered coldly and waved his hand.

”A conflict? Are we on good terms with them now? Don’t forget, the young man who led the fleet here is a Holy Spirit Knight! Although the rumors say he isn’t on good terms with the Sanctuary, but... don’t forget how that idiot Moose died! According to reliable information, the death of Major General Moose is closely linked to this guy named Fang Zheng!”

”This...”

Hearing this, everyone’s expressions changed. If what Lieutenant General John said was true, it meant there was no possibility of negotiations with the other side. In that case...

”I will ask Master Kara to take action personally.”

At that moment, Lieutenant General John also made a decision and suddenly gestured with his hand and stood up.

”With Master Kara’s ability, he will certainly be able to suppress the other side’s arrogance. By then, we...”

”Thud, thud, thud!!”

But before Lieutenant General John could finish speaking, suddenly, a series of urgent knocks sounded. Hearing this, Lieutenant General John frowned displeasedly, then lowered his hand.

”Come in.”

Hearing Lieutenant General John’s voice, a soldier with a pale face opened the door and walked in.

”Report, Your Excellency, there’s been an incident!”

”What’s happened now? What else has gone wrong?”

”It’s, it’s like this...”

Facing Lieutenant General John’s inquiry, the soldier hesitated but still responded in a low voice.

”Our brothers at the airfield... had a conflict... with the people from that metal warship...”
