Chapter 429: Chapter 428 The Daily Life of Warship Girls

”So this is the Commander’s world...”

The vampire squinted her eyes, looking at the Heavenly Dao Palace in front of her, then raised her hand and stretched lazily.

”The scenery seems nice, I like it!”

”But... why are there only children here...”

Curious, Rodney looked around. The street was bustling, but whether it was the staff in the stores or the laughing pedestrians on the street, they all appeared to be girls under ten years old. For this reason, she and Takao had already drawn quite a bit of attention from the children as they walked along.

”It is indeed strange...”

Takao also felt it was a bit odd. Though the Misty Seas were not familiar with humans, they still had a certain understanding of human society. According to the information about humans downloaded from their own world’s network, humans generally only start working after maturing into adulthood, while their young would learn knowledge and skills in a place called school.

Of course, for the Misty Seas, this was a very time-wasting method. They could obtain information through ”Concept Transmission” and data transmission, so naturally they look down on such outdated skills for acquiring information.

Just then, a soft voice appeared beside the Misty Seas.

”Excuse me... are you the sisters from the Royal Fleet?”

”Huh?”

Upon hearing the voice, everyone turned their heads and saw a girl with golden shoulder-length hair, dressed in a dark green dress, standing not far in front of them. She looked to be about eight or nine years old, with half-closed, groggy eyes, as if she were dreamwalking.

”I am Iona, the flagship of the Royal Fleet.” freewebnøvel.coɱ

Iona also stepped forward now, greeting the girl in front of her. Hearing Iona’s response, the girl smiled.

”Ah... I thought so, seeing unfamiliar big sisters. Ah, Brother Fang Zheng asked me to take you to the Guardian’s Office... That will be your home, big sisters. Please follow me...”

Speaking, the girl turned and began walking forward, but after a few steps, she seemed to remember something and turned back, bowing slightly to everyone.

”Ah... I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Tina, Tina Sprout. You sisters can just call me Tina. So... let’s set off...”

”Haah...”

Watching the girl walking ahead with her stagger like a sleepwalker, the Misty Seas couldn’t help but sigh before following behind Tina down the street.

”This way to the shops, that way to the restaurants... Ah, there’s also a fast-food place, the big sisters can come here if they want to eat. That over there is a cat food shop; we have so much food we can’t finish it all...”

With the growing number of Cursed Children, the number of buildings inside the Heavenly Dao Palace naturally increased. However, the Cursed Children mostly lived at the school, so aside from the dormitories, the street was basically lined with shops.

Originally, Fang Zheng planned to exchange for shops from other worlds, but later decided to just exchange for the storefronts and let the Cursed Children handle the rest. After all, not every child would need to go to battle, and many had very ordinary dreams for the future, such as opening a small shop, cultivating flowers, becoming a fashion designer, or a baker, and so on.

Thus, Fang Zheng ultimately decided to exchange for some storefronts and let the children manage them. Of course, all the raw materials and supplies were transported from the World of Shana. If the Cursed Children wanted to rent the storefronts or buy materials, they would need to spend points.

Similarly, if the Cursed Children wanted to buy something from the shops, they had to do the same.

However, always ”importing” supplies from other worlds was not ideal, and in fact, the Heavenly Dao Palace had also started to become self-sufficient. For example, within ”Cradle Garden” there were greenhouses specially for growing vegetables and flowers. Cursed Children who enjoyed farming joined the Horticulture and Agriculture departments, and then sold their produce to others running flower and food shops within the Heavenly Dao Palace for processing. Although it was a very modest start, for those children who had previously only experienced an uncertain life in the sewers without knowing if they had a future, it was indeed a very pleasing normal life.

The Guardian’s Office where the Misty Seas would reside was not too far from the ”harbor,” and was very conspicuous. In contrast to the surrounding yellow brick and red-tiled European-style buildings, this building, known as the Guardian’s Office, was purely white and was a three-story, rectangular vertical structure. Looking from the outside, one could sense a degree of solemnity and gravity.

”This is the home of the big sisters... When there are more people later on, Brother Fang Zheng will build new structures for everyone...”

As she spoke, Tina lifted her head with a giggly smile, while the Misty Seas curiously widened their eyes, gazing at the Guardian’s Office before them.

”This is our... home?”

It had to be said that although they often heard this term from humans, the concept of ’home’ was still quite fresh for the Mind Models.

”Home... In human language, it’s a place where one lives with their family...”

Standing quietly to the side with her eyes closed, Musashi spoke in a low voice, then turned her gaze toward Tina.

”Does Master Father live here too?”

”... Brother Fang Zheng?”

At Musashi’s form of address, Tina was slightly stunned, but being in her confused mode, she didn’t think too much about it and shook her head.

”Brother Fang Zheng lives over there, Sister Nymph and the others live there too...”

”Then I want to live there as well...”

”Wait for me, Musashi!”

Just as Musashi was about to turn and leave, the Vampire beside her grabbed her hand.

”Don’t even think about sneaking off, the secretary ship this month is me!”

”But in human cognition, isn’t home the place where family lives together? I am Master Father’s daughter, so isn’t it normal for father and daughter to live together?”

”Not at all! You’re just saying that! If that were the case, then I could say the same!”

”Sigh...”

Watching the argument between the Vampire and Musashi, Tina blinked and then looked confusedly at Rodney beside her.

”Big sister, what is this secretary ship they’re talking about?”

”That’s a Royal Fleet regulation.”

In response to Tina’s question, Rodney revealed a bitter smile and then began to explain.

”The secretary ship acts as the Commander’s assistant, mainly handling internal affairs and resource allocation within the Royal Fleet, as well as notifying and assigning sortie orders... Initially, the Commander had designated Iona for the role. But since everyone wanted to be close to the Commander, it was eventually decided to determine the Commander’s secretary ship each month by drawing lots.”

”Is being a secretary ship that good?”

”Of course, it is, because being a secretary ship means you can stay with the Commander twenty-four hours a day.”

”Oh... I see...”

Rodney didn’t notice that upon hearing her explanation, a sharp glint quietly appeared in Tina’s half-open, half-closed eyes.
