Chapter 442: Chapter 441: Who on Earth Is He?

”Fang Zheng?” frёeωebɳovel.com

Although Ogrande had indeed wondered why Fang Zheng hadn’t arrived, she never expected that this man would appear before her at this time, in such a manner!

Looking at Ogrande from a distance, Fang Zheng smiled faintly, then he stepped down the stairs, with Nymph and Black Katie following behind him, closely trailed by the Cursed Children from the three academies of the Heavenly Dao Palace.

It had to be admitted, Fang Zheng’s flashy entrance caught everyone’s eyes; all present were watching him in surprise, whispering to one another.

”Who is he?”

”I’ve never heard of such a person... Wait, do you remember the rumors from before?”

”You mean...”

At this point, many people made the connection. They were here to attend the ceremony and naturally had to investigate the situation regarding Golden Bay; this wasn’t classified information, so almost everyone knew that, besides the Platinum Family and the Sanctuary, there was another person involved in the ownership dispute of Golden Bay—that person was Fang Zheng.

The nobility of the Kingdom of the Holy Church were certainly familiar with this name. After all, Fang Zheng’s name had been all over the high echelons of the Kingdom of the Holy Church following his confrontation with Kona, to the point that it almost made them sick. He was so well-known that not a soul was unaware of him, and authorities from other states were also paying close attention to him, as he was the legendary Holy Spirit Knight who had even clashed with the Sanctuary. Such an important figure could not go unnoticed by other nations.

However, Fang Zheng was no fool. After laying low and virtually disappearing into instance worlds, it left those with vested interests and power struggling to find an angle. Despite their best efforts to locate Fang Zheng, they naturally couldn’t find a target that was not even in this world. So, after the initial fervor died down, both the powers of other states and the Cultists put the matter aside, treating it as a long-term focus of attention.

Not to mention that Fang Zheng kept a low profile following the incident, only revealing his whereabouts when he bought the island in the City of Korhal. By the time the Sanctuary got wind of it, Fang Zheng had already been enjoying his freedom out at sea, his whereabouts unknown. Other than learning from the Platinum Family that Fang Zheng had once visited Golden Bay, no one had any clue about his subsequent movements.

One could say, not until this moment had Fang Zheng truly made his first appearance before the representatives of various forces.

In a way that none of them had anticipated.

”Seems like I’ve arrived quite on time,” Fang Zheng remarked as he reached Ogrande’s side, giving her a nod before inquiring.

”What’s the situation now? How are the preparations for the ceremony?”

”You, you’re still asking me this?”

Facing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, which was as casual as if nothing was amiss, Ogrande felt like she was about to pass out. You make such a dramatic entrance aboard an extravagant warship, bringing a large entourage, and you don’t even have the decency to say something grandiose to suit the occasion?

What’s with this ”sorry for the traffic, hope I’m not late” attitude?

”...No, your Excellency Fang Zheng, you’ve arrived just in time.”

Truth be told, Ogrande really wanted to grab Fang Zheng by the collar and scream at him, but outwardly she forced herself to stay calm, took a deep breath, and managed a welcoming smile as she responded.

”Welcome to Golden Bay... and to Miss Black Katie and Miss Nymph, it’s been a long time.”

In response to Ogrande’s greeting, both Nymph and Black Katie nodded as acknowledgment, while Fang Zheng took a look around before turning his attention back to Ogrande.

”I mean, it’s just an airport reception, isn’t such a massive show of force a bit much... Oh, and have you arranged accommodations for us?”

”Of course, we have prepared accommodations for you. Please follow me.”

Ogrande was no fool. Hearing what Fang Zheng said, he understood that Fang Zheng did not want to stay in this crowded and noisy place any longer, and Ogrande himself was also not inclined to keep facing those troublesome matters. So he quickly summoned an attendant and ordered him to take charge of the follow-up airfield affairs before leading Fang Zheng and the others inside the airfield.

As Ogrande and Fang Zheng left, representatives from other powers also scattered. Today’s events were simply too thrilling; they had come just to watch the excitement and had not expected to nearly witness Shikoku starting a war, let alone encountering a powerful force beyond their imagination!

Who exactly is this man? Where does he come from? What kind of power stands behind him?

No one knew the answers, but looking at the warships that covered the sky like a cloud, everyone understood that starting from today, a power capable of contending with the Kingdom of the Holy Church, the Magitech Nation, the Kingdom of Flame, and the Land of Wealth had emerged.

And such important news, they would have to report to their masters. Regarding this newly emerged formidable power, should they watch from the sidelines or extend an olive branch? All these decisions needed to be made by their leaders, not to mention... if they continued to stay here, they would have to witness the embarrassing plight of the Land of Wealth. The moment when the Forward Ship was swatted down like a fly was seen by all, and the representatives of the Land of Wealth currently had faces as ugly as if they had swallowed a fly – it was better not to go up and further dampen the mood.

”Lieutenant General John, it seems that your Forward Ship is indeed very impressive.”

However, not everyone was afraid of dampening the mood. On the contrary, Grand Knight Astor approached with a cheerful grin, stood beside Lieutenant General John, poked his head out to gaze at the Forward Ship on the sea below, and shook his head in admiration.

”To be able to withstand such an impact without breaking apart, now I believe that this warship is truly extraordinary.”

”Hmph!!”

Hearing this, Lieutenant General John could no longer maintain the facade of a smile. He snorted coldly, then glared fiercely at Astor before turning around and walking away without another word. Watching the retreating figure of Lieutenant General John, Astor’s smile slowly faded, and then he raised his head to look at the warship before him, his expression revealing a mix of shock and longing.

”Indeed... just as the Sanctuary had predicted...”

Unbeknownst to Fang Zheng, since Kona’s incident, the Sanctuary had been investigating his origins, and many Holy Practitioners believed that the return of the Holy Spirit Knight might very well signify the re-emergence of the Goddess’s will, displaying the immense power of the deities. Especially the scene when Fang Zheng summoned the visions of the Supreme Heaven, which excited those Holy Practitioners greatly.

In their eyes, it was a symbol of Fang Zheng being commanded by the great Goddess!

Although Astor had his doubts about this conclusion, now that he’d witnessed the immense warship with his own eyes, he finally believed it.

Such enormous warships, whether in size or strength, far exceeded the limits of human imagination; only an omnipotent deity was capable of constructing such spectacular wonders!

Indeed, those old men were not dreaming... The deity had finally reappeared in this world in such a manner...

Metal behemoths that obscured the heavens hovered above, unleashing wrathful flames from the deity against the chaos and darkness ravaging the earth. Sacred flames capable of annihilating everything erupted on the ground, utterly destroying the chaos that eroded the world. At last, the darkness dissipated, and the light of order once again shone upon this world...

Recalling the records he had once seen in the Holy Scripture, Astor trembled with excitement. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down before turning to his attendant.

”Contact the Sanctuary immediately, and report everything that happened here to His Holiness the Pope! The army of the Goddess has reappeared in this world!!”
