Chapter 441: Chapter 440: The Fleet from Above Sora

”What’s happening?”

”What just happened?”

Looking at the sky suddenly darkening before their eyes, not only Ogrande and the others were surprised, but the fleets of various countries also slowed down once more. And it was at this moment...

”...!”

Suddenly, Ogrande felt the ground begin to tremble slightly, and the air outside the window seemed especially violent. A noble standing not far from them glanced up at the sky unintentionally, and the next moment, he visibly trembled, then collapsed to the ground, his eyes wide with terror, tremblingly pointing toward the sky.

”That, that, what is that!?”

”What?”

Seeing this noble’s actions, the others also instantly looked up, gazing into the sky, and right after, everyone was stunned.

”What did I just see?!”

”What is that thing!!”

”Goddess bless us!”

For a moment, the entire airfield was in chaos, and Ogrande’s mind went blank as she could only stand dumbfounded in front of the glass window, looking at the giant shadow in the sky, nearly obscuring the sun.

Before Ogrande appeared a colossal vessel, several kilometers in length, with a massive, thick shell and distinctive black cross-shaped indentations on both sides. It looked like a mountain range suspended in the sky, slowly descending. Next to it, several other ships of various sizes and odd shapes stood guard around it, as if they were the stars surrounding the moon.

”Is this... a warship?”

Staring at the huge object above, the White-Robed Mage stood dazed. As the birthplace of magitech warships, the Magitech Nation had always taken pride in its research on magitech warships. They had thought about modifying traditional ships and upgrading them, but due to various reasons, this research hadn’t been very smooth.

But now, in front of them appeared warships they hadn’t even considered! Moreover, judging by the appearance of these ships, they were pure metal warships!!

In the Main World, people had never tried to make magitech warships out of metal because the range of the anti-gravity field was limited. Considering the weight that needed to be supported and the output of the magitech engines, all factions used to build ships out of wood and then enhance their defenses with alchemy and magic, but... someone had actually managed to build completely metal warships? And they were so huge?!

Just as the White-Robed Mage was about to become engrossed in the beauty of these metal behemoths, he suddenly remembered something, and his complexion dramatically changed!

”Quick, immediately strengthen the Protective Barrier, retreat, and leave this place at once!!”

Meanwhile, the other fleets had also swiftly issued orders, starting to turn around and retreat. They had seen it clearly, these metal warships were descending in their direction, and although the airfield was large, it simply couldn’t accommodate such enormous warships. It was like throwing a sperm whale into a swimming pool, there was simply no room for other ”small fish”!

Not only that, but as these metal warships descended, alarms on the other magitech warships went berserk. This indicated that these metal warships weren’t just massive; they also possessed powerful shields! If they didn’t back away now, they would be crushed to pieces by the shields of these metal warships!

The warships of the Kingdom of the Holy Church and Magitech Nation, being faster and more agile, managed to promptly avoid these terrifying behemoths. Unfortunately for the Kingdom of Flame and the Land of Wealth, they were out of luck; their warships prioritized armor and size, naturally lacking in speed. This resulted in the fleets of the Kingdom of the Holy Church already turning around and retreating while those of the Kingdom of Flame had only managed to turn around halfway.

And their proudest Forward Ship, the battleship, was moving as slow as a snail.

”Hurry, hurry, hurry! Turn around immediately, full speed ahead!! Lower the altitude! Lower the altitude!!! Activate the Protective Barrier!!”

Watching the massive warship above getting closer and closer, the captain of the Forward Ship nearly lost his voice shouting orders, and under his command, the Forward Ship frantically attempted to turn around. At the same time, streaks of Magic Radiance swept past, rapidly applying protective magic to the warship before them. Although it seemed rather embarrassing, if they didn’t do so, they would lose far more than just face!

”Boom!!”

Just as the Forward Ship had managed to turn halfway around, a loud explosion was heard, followed by the sight of the barrier above the Forward Ship frantically flashing. The result was that the costly Protection Magic, up against the Hell Angel-class Shield, didn’t even last a second— it shattered instantly with a ”bang,” and poor Forward Ship spiraled downward like a fly swatted out of the air, then plunged into the water with a ”plop.”

A moment later, the shaky warship reemerged from the water, delicately hovering above the surface—having survived a blow from the Hell Angel’s Shield without falling apart on the spot showed that the Land of Wealth had indeed spent their money well.

”Miss Ogrande... do you know where this fleet is from?”

Grand Knight Astor’s face was devoid of smiles now; instead, he watched Ogrande intently as he asked. Astor was well aware that such a warship couldn’t possibly have been built by any ordinary power. In fact, even if all four nations combined their efforts, whether they could construct the hull of such a massive warship was questionable. But from its appearance, this didn’t seem to come from the demons of Hell... What capability did those beings have?

So, where exactly was this fleet from? By the looks of it, they seemed to be headed for Golden Bay as well?

”I don’t know either...”

Faced with Grand Knight Astor’s question, Ogrande looked utterly confused, but at that moment, a strange thought suddenly surfaced in her mind.

Could it be... No, that can’t be right, that man couldn’t possibly have such great ability!

”The warship is docking!”

”Let’s go out and see!”

At this time, no one cared about manners anymore. Watching the central warship begin to enter the airfield’s berth, they hurriedly rushed out of the airfield toward the dock. Grand Knight Astor, Lieutenant General John, and Ogrande naturally hurried out as well.

Although, when constructing the airfield, the Platinum Family had considered the number of Magitech Ships and created an adequately large berth site. Yet, the sheer size of the warship was so massive that just this one warship occupied two-thirds of the entire airfield space. It was fortunate that the other warships seemed to have no intention of docking; otherwise, the airfield really couldn’t accommodate so many Metal Warships.

When Ogrande and the others arrived at the dock, the Hell Angel-class Battleship had already completed docking. Looking at the tightly closed metal Daimon nearby, everyone instinctively held their breath, watching the Daimon with unease.

”Swish——!”

Soon after, accompanied by dazzling flashes of light, stairways made up of azure platforms appeared out of nowhere, extending from the metal Daimon to the dock. Seeing this, the crowd instinctively gasped and stepped back.

Then, the metal Daimon slowly opened.

”.........”

Looking at the figure emerging from it, Ogrande felt her heart might leap right out of her chest. She clenched her fists and stared fixedly at the person coming out from the metal Daimon, and then...

”Yo, Miss Ogrande, it’s been a long time.”

Stepping out of the Daimon, Fang Zheng greeted Ogrande with an outstretched hand.

”That being said... I hope I’m not late.”
