Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 415: Chapter 414: Let Her See How Formidable We Are!

After Rodney joined the fleet, Fang Zheng could tell that the atmosphere of the fleet seemed to have changed.

Previously, Fang Zheng’s daily routine primarily revolved around watching Takao and the Vampire bicker, with Sister Nymph and Iona watching the drama unfold in silence. For him, this had become quite the normal occurrence, yet things changed after Rodney’s arrival.

”Commander, would you like a cup of tea?”

”Ah... Thank you.”

”Commander, is there anything you need me to do?”

”Uh... not at the moment.”

”Commander, if you don’t mind, let me keep you company to pass the time.”

”That... wouldn’t be a problem...”

Fang Zheng had to admit, having Rodney by his side was a great help, and crucially, there was currently no one else like Rodney around him.

Although Black Katie was fiercely loyal to Fang Zheng, she seemed to prefer working behind the scenes; often, Fang Zheng had no clue what she was doing. Tilia, though fond of sticking close to Fang Zheng, was careful not to disturb him during work. Sister Nymph was always ready to respond to any of Fang Zheng’s requests, but she wasn’t very autonomous; that is to say, she would do whatever Fang Zheng asked, but if he didn’t assign her tasks, she would quietly carry on with her duties.

Of course, this wasn’t to say that these three weren’t concerned about Fang Zheng. Given the current shortage of manpower at the Heavenly Dao Palace, being able to fulfil the tasks Fang Zheng assigned was already immensely helpful. Naturally, Fang Zheng wouldn’t display any dissatisfaction with them because of this.

As for Natsuse and Midori, although nominally Fang Zheng’s maids, they were still just kids and hadn’t even completely grasped basic common sense yet. Although Tilia was training them to be conscientious maids, one had to admit, these children were still immature.

As for Iona, the Vampire, and Takao... Iona regarded herself as a weapon, just like Sister Nymph, only following Fang Zheng’s orders without taking her own initiative. As for the mischievous little Demon, Vampire, she would occasionally tease Fang Zheng, but definitely wouldn’t agree to serve as a maid for him.

And Takao... one couldn’t expect a prisoner to serve you devotedly, could they?

However, Rodney gave Fang Zheng a completely different impression than the others. Should she be described as a competent secretary, or more as a wise and good wife... Whenever Fang Zheng needed to do something, she would come over with a smile, ready to help and did so meticulously, leaving no room for Fang Zheng to find fault. Her voice was also soft and gentle, sweet and charming, coupled with an angelic appearance and a devilish figure... Of course, if only, according to Fang Zheng, she could wear less revealing clothes to slightly obscure her cleavage.

After all, every time she came close, those two large orbs would tremble before his eyes, making it... really hard to concentrate.

Of course, these were minor issues; for Fang Zheng, having acquired Rodney, it was time to start considering the strategy for conquering the boss of the sea chart 3.

”If possible, I would of course hope we could defeat the enemy force by dividing and conquering... Vampire, Iona, Takao, what have you found in your search?”

”I haven’t found anything here.”

”I haven’t detected any targets.”

”I did find a patrol fleet led by Ashigara and Nachi, but...”

While saying this, Takao frowned.

”Do we really have to fight? I am sure that this is bait set by that woman Hiei, just waiting for us to bite. Although I don’t yet know what she is planning, it’s possible we could fall into the enemy’s trap if we attack.”

”Strategies don’t always work just because they are used.”

Listening to Takao’s words, Fang Zheng shook his head and then looked towards the fleet position marked by Takao on the map before him.

”Sometimes, being too clever can lead to mistakes. Since the enemy has taken the initiative to strike, this bait might as well be taken advantage of by us.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng made his decision.

”So, everyone heads towards the target seas... Vampire, you go and release the drones to search around. As Takao said, this might be a trap set by Hiei, and if that’s the case, we must be extra cautious. So... let’s get moving.”

”Ah, Commander, please have some tea.”

Right after Fang Zheng gave the order, Rodney, standing not far away, immediately brought Fang Zheng a cup of tea with a smile, and Fang Zheng took the cup and nodded at Rodney.

”Thank you, Rodney.”

”You’re welcome, Commander, it’s what I should do. Now, I will go prepare to depart.”

Having said that, Rodney respectfully bowed to Fang Zheng and then turned to leave. Vampire squinted her eyes and watched Rodney’s retreating figure disappear before pulling Iona, who stood beside her.

”Iona, come here.”

”What is it?”

Upon hearing Vampire speak, Iona glanced at her curiously and then was pulled aside by Vampire.

”We need to think of a plan.”

”A plan? What kind of plan?”

”You should know, the Commander came here to awaken us and complete his mission. After the mission is over, we will follow the Commander to his world.”

”Hmm...”

Upon hearing Vampire’s inquiry, Iona nodded. Both Fang Zheng and Sister Nymph had explained these matters to them, so Iona naturally knew about it.

”So what?”

”I just found out from Sister Nymph that there are many people now in the Commander’s Heavenly Dao Palace. Although we are indeed the combat power that Heavenly Dao Palace needs right now, we must make an outstanding impression on the Commander!”

While saying this, Vampire emphatically clapped her hands.

”Do you see that busty creature? Ever since she arrived, she’s been diligent in attending to the Commander. Aren’t you afraid that someday she might seduce the Commander away? What if the Commander chooses that busty creature as his flagship?”

”Huh?”

Upon hearing this, Iona was also startled; she had never considered this issue. In her view, as Fang Zheng’s warship, it was only natural for her to be by Fang Zheng’s side. But now... with Vampire’s reminder, she realized, she was no longer the only Warship of Sea Mist by Fang Zheng’s side.

”So... what should we do?”

”We surely wouldn’t be as shameless as that busty creature, using our bodies to seduce the Commander.”

I wonder who it is that keeps bugging her owner to watch her eat every day...

Watching the emotionally charged Vampire, Iona hesitated for a moment but chose not to voice her thoughts. After all, speaking out wouldn’t benefit her either.

”Sister Nymph is the Commander’s confidant. No matter where the Commander goes, he will definitely bring her along. Therefore, as weapons, we should do what we can do! That busty creature is partaking in a battle for the first time, whereas we have coordinated with the Commander many times before! As long as we show our power in the upcoming battles, the Commander will surely continue to value us. We are weapons! Battle is the only way to prove our worth. That busty creature is big and runs slow, not agile at all, and will definitely be targeted!”

At this point, Vampire chuckled lightly.

”Hmph, let’s show her what we’re capable of then!”
