Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 422: Chapter 421 The Battleship Nemesis is Online

As expected, relying on the Scourge Legion is pretty useless.”

Watching the distant battlefield, Fang Zheng shook his head helplessly. Although the Musashi was immobile due to being on the plains, it had virtually no other weaknesses. Protected by the Klein Field, the Scourge Legion couldn’t get close, and the Frost Dragon and Gargoyles were shredded by the enemy’s anti-air defenses.

If things continued this way, once an hour passed, Fang Zheng would have to cancel the Sealing and return to the real world. Although he hoped that by then Rodney would have wiped out the other defense fleets and joined forces with Iona, the Vampire, and Takao. But now, the situation didn’t look so optimistic.

Hmm... is there any good solution... Could it be that I have to use the Sword of Nine again?

Clutching the greatsword in his hand, Fang Zheng hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. The Sword of Nine consumed too much energy, and even if it could directly take down the Musashi, it wouldn’t be worth it. Moreover, this time he was at sea, not on land. When he passed out on land, Natsuse and Midori were there to carry him back, but if he lost consciousness at sea... He would be the first Legendary Powerhouse in history to drown.

Let’s first see if there’s anything... Hm?

Just as Fang Zheng was about to rummage through his inventory for a powerful weapon to use, he noticed the construction block he had placed there earlier. Its timer had now reset, indicating it had finished building.

”This is... Right, how could I forget about this?”

Seeing the block, Fang Zheng slapped his forehead, remembering that after clearing sea chart 3, Nymph had used a damaged core from Hiei and the calculation module from Synapsus to create a new core. If it wasn’t for Fang Zheng being short on time, he could have waited for this warship to finish building before taking action. However, because he was in a rush, he had forgotten about the construction block. Now, it seemed...

”While it’s not a battleship, with over two hours of construction time, it should at least be stronger than Iona and Takao, right?”

If it were the Burning Legion, Fang Zheng would have been confident about confronting the Musashi, but with only the Scourge Legion at his disposal, these Undead Creatures couldn’t even break through Musashi’s Klein Field. Now, it all depended on what kind of warship he had built!

With that thought, Fang Zheng clenched the block in his hand and threw it with force.

”Come out, King of Carps!”

”Boom!”

The moment Fang Zheng threw the block, it swiftly disintegrated and then transformed into a light beam that shot straight into the sky. Then, as a circle of light unfolded, a massive shadow slowly emerged from the clouds.

”Good grief!”

Looking at the huge, almost despair-inducing warship before him, Fang Zheng was shocked. Rodney was only 1500 meters long, yet this warship was 3000 meters long? Are you kidding me? How could such a massive warship have a shorter construction time than a battleship? What kind of warship is this?

With that, Fang Zheng quickly focused his attention on the warship in front of him, and soon a stream of information floated before his eyes.

An aircraft carrier?

Reading the information before him, Fang Zheng was slightly surprised. He had never expected to have built an aircraft carrier... Well, thinking about it, it didn’t seem so odd. If it was an aircraft carrier, then its massive size made sense... Wait?

But before Fang Zheng could finish his thought, he was startled by the figure that appeared before him.

”This is...”

Originally, Fang Zheng had assumed that a warship’s tonnage and size would be related to the Mind Model’s appearance, like Rodney’s huge spherical structure. And since this aircraft carrier’s size was almost double that of Rodney’s, Fang Zheng had expected it to be quite an intimidating presence. However... looking at the delicate and cute figure before him, Fang Zheng was momentarily dumbfounded.

What the heck is this?

Before Fang Zheng, there appeared a girl in a white off-shoulder maxi dress, petite in stature and seemingly about the same age as Nymph. She was clutching a tiny unicorn doll to her chest and had soft, slightly curled purple hair. The girl’s green and tender, adorable face was hidden behind the doll, her large eyes curiously observing Fang Zheng.

”Ah... I am... from the Royal Navy... Unicorn...”

Then, sensing Fang Zheng’s gaze, the girl spoke in a low voice. It was a voice as pitiable and endearing as her appearance.

”Commander... may I call you brother?”

”Uh...”

If he were an ordinary man, he might have been struck straight in the heart just by the adorable girl’s gaze, but fortunately, Fang Zheng, having been similarly overwhelmed by Midori or Tina back in the Heavenly Dao Palace, had developed some immunity, preventing him from losing his composure in front of the girl. Faced with her question, Fang Zheng smiled slightly and reached out to ruffle the little one’s head.

”Of course, you can.”

”Uh...”

Feeling Fang Zheng’s touch, Unicorn squinted her eyes like a kitten and showed a hint of a smile.

”That tickles, big brother...”

”Cough, cough, sorry.”

If Fang Zheng hadn’t retained some sense, he might have become completely engrossed in his interaction with Unicorn...

”Unicorn, I have a favor to ask of you.”

”Is it to defeat the enemy?”

Without waiting for Fang Zheng to elaborate, Unicorn quickly noticed the distant Musashi Ship. She hugged the doll tightly and then nodded her head.

”I understand, Unicorn... will do her best... Aircraft... launch confirmation...”

”Whooosh—!!”

As Unicorn spoke, the Fang Government saw several dark shadows swiftly fly out from the hangar of the aircraft carrier, forming a formation heading toward the distant Musashi Ship.

That should settle things, right?

Watching the distant battlefield, Fang Zheng also breathed a sigh of relief. Although he was not a military otaku, he knew that it was the emergence of aircraft carriers that had caused battleships to completely exit the stage. Not to mention that the Musashi Ship stuck on the ground couldn’t move at all, so there shouldn’t be a problem, right?

However, it turned out that Fang Zheng’s assumption was a bit too simplistic.

Even without escorting warships, the Musashi Ship, as a super flagship, showcased an anti-air defense capability far beyond Fang Zheng’s expectations. Even after Unicorn deployed five squads of aircraft, they were completely annihilated by the fierce anti-aircraft fire. Seeing this, Fang Zheng furrowed his brows.

”Unicorn, are you alright?”

”I’m okay, big brother...”

At that moment, Unicorn seemed a bit deflated. Since this was her first battle in this world, she couldn’t let her commander down.

”I’m just not very familiar with it yet. Since the opponent doesn’t want to back down, then...”

As she spoke, Unicorn lifted her head, and in her purple eyes shone a bright and dazzling light.

”Unicorn... NTD... module activation...”
