Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1134: Chapter 674: ”4 Emperors” Genji? (Part 2)

Her Key Stone mounting device is an ankle bracelet, not a spiral bronze anklet like Xijana’s, but rather an ordinary modern crafted anklet.

In contrast to other Pokémon whose appearances have drastically changed, the simplicity of Sableye’s Mega Evolution is akin to that of Kangaskhan—

The ruby on its chest flies out of its body, expanding enough to cover it like a shield.

Its originally blue eyes become like giant gem shields, crimson as blood, and an antenna-like sharp horn grows from its forehead.

There are no other changes besides these.

However, having few changes does not mean Mega Sableye is weak. Its Mischievous Heart trait becomes Magic Bounce, and the enormous Crystal Shield possesses terrifying Defense Power to fend off all attacks.

It summons a Misfortune Never Comes Alone violet-red wave, which attacks the Altaria in the sky like a long serpent.

At the same time.

Under Genji’s prolonged observation, the frenzied attacking Altaria gradually regains its lucidity, quickly lifting its confused state.

The Taunt state is lifted as well.

Altaria withstands the incoming Misfortune Never Comes Alone and bathes in the purple flames, roaring at Mega Sableye.

Since Mega Sableye’s trait is Magic Bounce, it will rebound techniques aimed at itself, and Roar is among those that will rebound.

Thus, Altaria is forced to return.

The paralysis trait is also affected by the Natural Recovery trait and disappears.

More crucially, Genji successfully sends out his ace—

Salamence.

He pulls the trigger at Mega Sableye, and the Key Stone embedded on the gun resonates with the Mega Stone on Salamence, achieving Mega Evolution in an instant.

The blood-stained crescent moon reappears before Baimu’s eyes.

The battle undergoes a new wave of changes.

Earlier, when the main force faced the main force, Furong still had an opportunity to implement the tactics smoothly. But once Mega Salamence appeared, the situation instantly shifted into a one-sided rhythm.

”Flying Skin, this trait is too terrifying.”

Baimu silently mourns for Furong.

Unlike the suffocating battle against Mega Mawile, Mega Sableye could still provoke and increase its Special Attack and Special Defense through Meditation.

But this fellow’s mobility is far too poor, making it purely a sitting duck.

Mega Mawile’s mobility is many times greater than Mega Sableye’s, and the steel + fairy attribute combination makes it highly advantageous.

It’s fair to say that this is racial suppression.

How can Mega Sableye compare?

Mega Salamence itself is a high-mobility Pokémon, and it lashes out at Mega Sableye with an onslaught of Giant Sound and Gratitude.

In the fierce clash.

Mega Sableye uses Self-Rebirth and Substitute to withstand, while also using its Crystal Giant Shield upfront to absorb the attacks, barely holding on for a while.

Until Mega Salamence starts using more powerful Destructive Beam and Ultimate Shock.

The Crystal Giant Shield can absorb all attacks, but the price is that every block causes it to shrink. When it becomes only palm-sized, and Mega Sableye swallows it, the Mega Evolution state will automatically be lifted.

Re-mega evolving can restore the Crystal Giant Shield.

However, the downtime of transformation directly leads to Mega Salamence having the chance to break through with one strike.

When the crimson and sky-blue storm sweeps through the entire field.

Sableye’s crouched body flies high and then crashes down heavily.

It’s over.

Baimu shakes his head, ”There’s a gap in the main Pokémon... The gap between aces is even larger...?”

Personally, he feels Genji’s strength in the previous era would have sufficed to be Champion, but the monsters in this era are too numerous, and adding age has left no room for him...

Hmm?

Why does he suddenly feel a sense of déjà vu of Whitebeard?

『I am a remnant of the old era. There is no ship to bear me in the new era!』

Paired with Captain Genji’s idea of finding successors, the similarities are striking.

Clap clap clap clap—

Loud applause resonates above the arena.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle, and Baimu also feels greatly inspired, standing up to enthusiastically applaud Furong and Genji. Looking towards Da Wu’s side, he too stands and claps.

The first day of the Hoenn Champion Alliance concludes here.

Post-match.

The Four Heavenly Kings are reviewing the flaws and errors of the afternoon competition in the preparation room, not only rivals to one another but close partners safeguarding the Hoenn Alliance.

Reviewing is commonplace.

Baimu is fortunate to participate under Da Wu’s lead, learning from the exchanges that Furong actually held back a hidden card. Sadly, Genji’s offensive was too fierce, denying her the chance.

”The Spirit Medium’s strength isn’t just about traversing between the Spirit Realm and reality!”

She punches indignantly, one cheek puffing slightly, appearing somewhat childish.

Only at this moment does she seem to shed the identity of one of the Four Heavenly Kings, transforming back into a seventeen or eighteen-year-old southern girl.

Genji remains silent, whilst Da Wu chuckles, ”Tactics that aren’t used have no meaning. It’s unlike you to worry about such things, Furong.”

”I know!”

Furong turns her head, pouting.

Huayue is frustrated about barely falling short once again, recounting how last year was spent cultivating Absol’s fire attribute techniques, just to defeat Bonnie’s Glalie in one move.

”It’s meaningless; even if the firepower is multiplied tenfold, Glalie can still take out your Absol,” Bonnie confidently remarks.

Glalie’s Ice Skin Explosion is invincible!

She hasn’t said it, but her face says it all.

Baimu agrees with this sentiment.

Tomorrow afternoon is the final match for the Four Heavenly Kings, still in a six-versus-three singles format, Bonnie against Genji.

In the evening.

Baimu visits the Fury, discovering that Otsuka and company are already quite familiar with Liang Guang and the other sailors.

Even drinking together, arm in arm.

He feels at ease.

The survival ability of the Ore People is indeed strong, quickly adapting anywhere—though admittedly, this sounds somewhat self-flattering.

The living environment on Fury is not harsh and is much better compared to the past in Pyrite Town.

——

The next morning.

Baimu comes to evaluate the battle capabilities of Otsuka and the others.

Confirming that they are still a bunch of novices, not even as good as Xiaosheng, who got his Pokémon months later, he inevitably sighs inwardly.

It’s understandable.

After all, he left abruptly, pursuing the task of finding Lugia elsewhere.

The ones remaining in Pyrite Town, like Otsuka, had to pioneer the wilderness, planting trees and building houses regularly, not necessarily able to spare much time to train their Pokémon.

They are not like the youth in the main series regions, constantly seeking out wild Trainers for battles.

Nor able to challenge Gym Leaders to rapidly increase their strengths.

”Take it slow.”

Baimu simply advises them a bit.

Otsuka and company maintain their usual mindset, had they been strong they would not have agreed to work as sailors, besides, losing to their boss feels shameful?

The boss having the strength to crush the subordinates is normal.

The stronger Baimu becomes, the happier they are!

Time quickly reaches the afternoon.

Baimu asks if they want to watch the match, but once again, they choose not to, firmly believing it better to train themselves than watch others battle.

A clear difference in perspective, stemming from a lack of personal knowledge and absence of a learning mindset, making it difficult to easily learn from others.

To change this, they must continue studying or formally seek a battle instructor.

He quietly contemplates this while following Da Wu into the venue.

Beside yesterday’s seat are Furong and Huayue, Tamaranze is placed elsewhere.

”The view here is as broad as ever! Kid, no, Baimu! After the Champion Alliance ends, come visit me?”

Huayue casually hooks his arm around Baimu’s shoulder.

Baimu is ready to refuse, but Furong objects, shouting, ”No! He should come to God-sending Mountain! Baimu! We said before you’d visit, why haven’t you come?”

So enthusiastic!

Forcing someone to visit!

He helplessly explains to them he must make a trip back to Ore, and sincerely thanks them for their kindness.

Luckily, Huayue and Furong aren’t the type who insist stubbornly. Their brusqueness remains limited to verbal remarks, quickly quieting down once Bonnie and Genji enter the arena.

Ice Attribute versus Dragon Attribute.

A dominating advantage.

Bonnie still has a small chance of winning—at least before viewing Porygon II’s statistics for the past decade of Champion Alliance battles among the Four Heavenly Kings.

『Bonnie against Genji, winning probability is: zero.』

Porygon II’s tone is slightly eerie.
