Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1123: Chapter 669: Medical Ninja 2

——

Inside the light screen.

Scenes of countless Ninja Boys fighting hard flashed by.

The present Shuijing City had long since become a bustling seaside metropolis, and by using this ”platform” to battle Trainers from all over the world, the Ninja Boy’s strength was improving day by day.

With the help of the Shuijing Gym Leader, the toxins of his Poison-type Pokémon were also gradually being strengthened.

In order to win the championship, the Ninja Boy was already going all out.

And so.

The new Ever Grande Conference slowly kicked off.

To avoid being recognized by acquaintances watching the matches, the Ninja Boy deliberately went with an afro hairstyle, wrapped a scarf over half his face, and even asked the Shuijing Hall Master to custom-make him a pair of stilts.

From the outside, he did look different.

But Baimu just felt the Ninja Boy was overdoing it a bit; before the match even starts, the Referee and commentator announce where each contestant is from!

Getting found out was only a matter of time.

But if the Ninja Boy gets exposed for being the wrong age and his qualifications are revoked, how will the final reward settlement be calculated?

It should be based on his original results.

Baimu thought of that camping kid who stole badges to enter, only to get flattened in the prelims; that guy’s tournament record was wiped, but his simulation rewards still came through.

He relaxed, then grew curious whether Verdanturf City’s Joy and Officer Jenny would actually show up to expose the Ninja Boy’s lie.

The Ever Grande Conference rules in the simulation were the same as now.

First was a single battle to decide who’d qualify for the preliminary championship bracket.

The Ninja Boy won extremely easily. No need for the Self-destruct Demon—just relying on Swalot’s body that could tank impacts plus intense Severe Poison was enough to casually take down the opponent.

[You successfully advanced to the preliminary championship]

The preliminary championship was three rounds of double battles.

Already familiar with the format, the Ninja Boy was naturally prepared; Weezing and Kecleon played Smoke Screen and Shadow Clone to death and easily beat their foes.

By coincidence, he even knew this opponent; the narration pointed out they’d fought back in Glazed City, where the Ninja Boy had lost.

Who would have thought that after a few months—

The Ninja Boy’s strength had already surpassed the other’s.

[You broke through the preliminary championship]

Clearing all the prelims meant making top 32; after two more ”six to three” single battles, it’d be time for the final full-party fights.

So far, the Ninja Boy was handling everything quite comfortably.

Even when facing other Trainers of top-32 caliber, he hadn’t exactly fallen behind.

Baimu suddenly remembered his other Blue Talent—[Boundary Breakthrough].

He’d been traveling for so long, yet the Ninja Boy hadn’t triggered this talent even once. Looked like he was saving it for the semis or the finals.

If he remembered right, the last Simulator to get Boundary Breakthrough was that musician?

While he was mulling it over, the Ninja Boy won yet another match and successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.

The championship was now only three rounds away.

[You have entered the deciding championship]

First opponent in the quarterfinals.

Another acquaintance of the Ninja Boy—back when he was trying to improve his own strength, he’d gone around looking for Trainers to battle, and this guy had been one of them.

But that time, the Ninja Boy had won.

Which made the opponent extremely cautious going into their rematch.

Unfortunately.

The Ninja Boy had a reputation for being both sneaky and toxic as hell: once Crobat slapped a Severe Poison status onto the opponent’s Gyarados, it just started circling and stalling, dragging it all the way until it lost the ability to fight.

Similar scenes played out afterward as well; after one full-party battle, he literally pissed his opponent off until his face turned iron-blue, looking one step away from being hospitalized.

[You defeated the opponent and broke through the quarterfinals]

”Feels like a stall team.”

Seeing this, Baimu couldn’t help but think of the stall teams in his previous life’s games—built around wasting time and disgusting people without remorse; if both sides were stall teams, you’d be in for a bladder-bursting match measured in hours.

In the Pokémon anime world, stall teams are hard to run, but in terms of sheer disgust value, the Ninja Boy seemed to have picked up one or two genuine lessons from them.

More importantly—

Up to now, Weezing still hadn’t used Big Explosion.

The Ninja Boy was clearly keeping something up his sleeve, waiting to bust it out against a much stronger foe—

And fate went just as he wished.

Semifinals.

A powerful opponent whose Sceptile opened by consecutively taking down Swalot and Ninjask, forcing him to switch it out using Weezing.

Three of his for one of the opponent’s.

The semifinal situation had gone from bad to outright terrible.

Even though Baimu knew the Ninja Boy’s final placement was already locked in, watching the simulation visuals still made him subconsciously break into a cold sweat for the kid.

And in this extreme situation—

The long-awaited [Boundary Breakthrough] finally triggered.

The last member to join the team, Crobat, was the first to Burst Seed, taking out one of the opponent’s Pokémon, then going down together with another. Shedinja also picked off one enemy with a sneak attack, and before falling, it went all-out with Shadow Ball to grind down the fifth opponent’s HP.

With his teammates fighting to that extent—

Kecleon naturally refused to fall behind. This guy had practically become the Ninja Boy’s ace Pokémon; the moment it hit the field, it quickly finished off the one Shedinja had already chewed down to half health.

Then, when facing the opponent’s final Pokémon, it fully embraced the essence of the ninja.

No matter how good an opening it had, it would never fight head-on; even if the opponent stood still and let it hit, it would only attack from behind with sneak strikes—caution above all.

The opponent undoubtedly tasted the same suffocating frustration as the Ninja Boy’s previous foe.

Maybe in his heart, a battle that reached this stage should be about the Trainer’s roar igniting the flames inside their Pokémon, both sides going all-out to clash once and decide victory.

The Ninja Boy was not playing that game with him.ℴ
