Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1104: Chapter 660: Dragon Beast Slayer (Part 2)

But the fire attribute techniques unleashed by the latter already possess the power to threaten it.

The Trainer has also kept it aware of [Ultimate Shock] and [Destructive Beam]; even if these techniques, converted to flying attribute, have power resisted by its attributes, taking them head-on would still require careful consideration.

Moreover, this guy is extremely fast, focused on moving itself, it may not be easily caught, and once its weak point is caught, it would suffer greatly.

”Chido!”

Mega Mawile exchanged a glance with its Trainer, having made a plan in its heart.

It quickly retreated to increase the distance from Salamence, its giant jaws at the back of its head opening as countless golden light spots converged within, and after closing, its exterior seemed to enlarge by a circle.

”Charging.”

Orange air waves rose from under its feet, increasing both physical and special defenses.

What to do when facing a Pokémon with extreme attack strength?

One, reduce the opponent’s physical and special attack.

Two, enhance your own physical and special defense.

When both sides cannot switch Pokémon, influencing the opponent’s attack through ability changes is one of the best methods.

Baimu believes that when facing an opponent like Salamence, restricting moves would be more difficult than self-enhancement, so he chose to rely on charging to raise Mega Mawile’s dual defenses.

The limit for charging is three times, the three-fold dual defense increase is enough to empower it to counter Salamence’s assaults.

Even if it can’t withstand it, relying on [Swallow] can regain lost stamina.

Of course.

He must ensure that Salamence remains in a state of taunt, unable to use any transformation techniques.

This way, as long as not hitting the critical point, Mega Mawile’s survival would be assured.

With survival somewhat assured, the frequency of attacks can be raised, and even if not every hit deals full damage, it would still be enough for the opponent.

Meanwhile, seeing Mega Mawile quickly retreat and defend with charging, Genji did not hesitate.

”Destructive Beam!”

”Aoooh!”

Salamence let out a muffled roar, its blood-colored wing tip expanding to form a full waning moon, the slender dragon tail swaying to quickly ascend.

Upon reaching a height high enough to overlook Mega Mawile, it suddenly swooped down, an astonishing black energy bullet at the front of its bloodied mouth rapidly expanded!

Boom!!

A deafening roar erupted, a beam with a pitch-black core and sky-blue energy particles at the exterior tore through the air, casting the entire field into sudden darkness, and charged at Mega Mawile with apparent destructive power!

Dust and smoke rose everywhere.

The terrifying beam of destruction even affected the sunlight shining nearby, causing the Meteor People around to feel chills down their spines.

Cannot take it head-on!

Upon seeing the black energy bullet before Salamence’s mouth, Baimu knew that enduring this move would cost too much, affecting Mega Mawile’s subsequent condition.

”Shadow Clone.”

His order was quick, yet the black energy bullet’s conversion into a terrifying beam was also fast.

At the critical moment, Mega Mawile’s form trembled to become countless illusory clones, the black beam charging from the sky shattered the original spot into fragments, heading straight for the ground!

Boom!

Flames soared!

Then.

Upon realizing it hasn’t hit its target, Salamence initiated a sweeping mode, flying attribute destruction beams moving sideways causing large flames to boil on the ground as if subjected to missile barrage-style artillery fire.

Mega Mawile’s shadow clones continuously dissipated into ashes, but until the end of the destructive beam’s release, its true form remained unhit.

”...”

Genji’s eyebrows furrowed and then relaxed.

His gaze fell on the scattered few Mega Mawile, successfully locking onto one of them.

Found it?

Through the intersected gaze point between Salamence and Genji, Baimu realized his Pokémon’s real body had been exposed, but instead of panicking, he thought it a good opportunity!

”Taunt.”

Mega Mawile’s eyes showed mockery, beckoning with a small hand at Salamence in the sky.

Despite this simple gesture.

Held by the stiffness of the destructive beam, Salamence could not stand it, becoming infuriated to bare its white sharp teeth.

The anger flames almost erupted from its eye sockets, threatening to burn this guy alive on the spot.

But then the black aura emanating from its body made its pupils dilate sharply.

”Aoooh!”

Again [Taunt]!

By this stage, the stiffness time of the destructive beam should have been reduced to the smallest, and if the body is used appropriately, it might even create the illusion of no stiffness for the opponent.

Nonetheless, during the stiffness period, it remains vulnerable.

If Mega Mawile launched an attack, Salamence would still have the ability to counter, but who expected the Trainer to launch a second taunt when it was looking for the real body!

Simply unpredictable.

The frustration in its heart was beyond measure, it never expected the Trainer to know the timing when the taunt was about to vanish.

At that moment.

Genji shouted: ”Big Character Burst Flame!”

”Aoooh!!”

Salamence lifted its head and let out a furious roar, a mass of red flames brightened and erupted as it lowered its head!

Clang!

The air trembled.

The red flames split open violently, rapidly expanding from the size of Salamence to several times larger, forming a giant character that could cover the field!

The move was much easier to dodge than the destructive beam, none of the Mega Mawile were hit, successfully avoiding it through steady positioning.

The Big Character Burst Flame missed, burning fiercely on the shattered field.

Baimu did not waste any chance to make a move.

”Charge!”

Second charge!

Dual defenses increased again!

”Chido!”

The remaining few Mega Mawile’s giant jaws opened, more golden light dots flying in, enlarging their appearance again, looking like two plump black pea pods.

Orange air waves surged once more.

It glanced at Salamence at a higher altitude, a hint of eagerness in its eyes.

With dual defenses boosted twice, it should theoretically be able to attempt to counter the opponent’s attack, but for safety’s sake, it would wait for the third charging to be finished.

Outside the field.

The young Dragon Tamers were particularly puzzled.

”Why doesn’t Brother Baimu attack and keep using charge?”

”Yeah, yeah, Playful’s power is so strong, a few more hits and Salamence won’t withstand it!”

In the Gorgeous Competition and even the League Conference, Mega Mawile has showcased a particularly unique Playful, with both performance and power at their peak.

Even though it’s reluctant to admit as a Dragon Tamer, the fact remains that few Dragon Pokémon in Meteor Village could withstand the Playful used by Mega Mawile on TV.

However, intriguingly, from the start of the battle till now, Baimu hasn’t let Mega Mawile use Playful.

Qing Liu slightly shook his head and spoke softly: ”Don’t underestimate Salamence, nor overestimate Mawile’s Playful; there is no absolutely invincible technique in the world.

”Genji’s Salamence isn’t without victories against stronger Fairy-type Pokémon, and Baimu understands this, thus he’s gradually increasing his stakes, leaving Genji no room to seize an opportunity.”

Just as the words fell.

A dreadful roar echoed!

Clang!

High above, Salamence spewed a massive flame as if to incinerate everything, not much less impressive than the earlier destructive beam.

With its head raised, Mega Mawile responded again with Shadow Clone, unexpectedly witnessing a peculiar interaction between these dragon-like breath flames and the still-burning Big Character Burst Flame on the ground.

Only to see the flames of the Big Character Burst Flame suddenly flare up, forming five massive walls of fire, instantly eradicating the remaining shadows of Mega Mawile.

The remaining shadows of Mega Mawile were also isolated.

Subsequently.

Salamence began to adjust the angle of the flame jet, prioritizing burning each Mega Mawile above the fire wall’s height, maximizing the burning efficiency!

Sizzle!

The sizzling heatwave scorched everything in the arena and beyond.

Affected by the viewing angle, the Meteor People could only see a small area clearly, yet they couldn’t help but exclaim upon seeing the quick disappearance of shadows.

How could Mega Mawile block such aggression!?

Among the crowd.

Qing Liu looked worriedly at Genji, not concerned at all for Mega Mawile in distress.

Has it been pushed to this point...

Clearly, countering slowly under a slow tempo is your style.
