Chapter 1124: Chapter 669: Medical Ninja 3

[You look at your opponent’s frustrated expression, and a new understanding of the Ninja Path arises in your heart]

What kind of playstyle builds happiness on the pain of enemies?

Baimu’s lips twitch slightly. Ironically, the Ninja Boy actually had an epiphany; after Kecleon defeated his opponent and won, he entered into a mystical and cryptic state.

[You advanced to the finals, but your thoughts were focused on the Ninja’s Book. Upon rereading the text, you had an entirely new experience]

This narration...

Was doing a big thing to become an official ninja not a scam?

Baimu suddenly realized that the Ninja’s Book didn’t turn learners into official ninjas through the ”big thing” as an outcome, but rather through the understanding of the Ninja Path gained during the process of doing big things.

It seems even if the Ninja Boy’s journey in the tournament ends here, he’s pretty much a shoe-in to become an official ninja.

[You finally understood what it means to be a ninja]

On the screen.

A flash of golden light surrounds the Ninja Boy, as if he were a character leveling up in a game. The narration also explained why he was like this.

This kid is only eight years old...

Baimu sighed deeply. Comparing himself to this talented cheat, the Ninja Boy seems to be a true prodigious talent.

Finals scene.

Despite the Ninja Boy’s newfound understanding, his Pokémon did not gain a sudden increase in power because of it.

Luckily, his opponent in the finals didn’t seem as strong as the one in the semifinals. The Ninja Boy once again triggered [Boundary Breakthrough], defeating this opponent with just four Pokémon.

Especially Kecleon, [Boundary Breakthrough] allowed it to achieve an amazing record similar to Aggron’s one-against-three performance.

[You defeated your opponent in the finals, becoming the tournament’s champion]

The excited Ninja Boy and Kecleon embraced tightly.

Not only for this moment of victory, but also for the grandfather he believed was about to awaken.

But at the moment of the award ceremony.

A worker-like pixel NPC took the stage and whispered to the host presenting the trophy. Then several Miss Jun Sha burst into the awards ceremony, surrounding the Ninja Boy amidst the pixelated crowd’s exclamations.

[You are informed you will be arrested for the grave crime of file tampering]

In full view of everyone.

The Ninja Boy, just one step away from his wish, refused to give up and used the Substitution Techniques to escape the scene.

[You plan to return to Verdanturf City to see for yourself if your grandfather has woken up]

Having become an official ninja, the Ninja Boy’s proficiency in the Ninja Path was terrifying. So many Officer Jennys couldn’t catch him; he took the opportunity to board a cargo ship.

The scene shifts.

Inside a familiar hospital.

The Ninja Boy tiptoed in, but to his disbelief, even though he had become an official ninja, his grandfather was still lying in bed, in a coma.

[You feel deceived]

Just as he was feeling devastated, numerous Officer Jennys, who had been waiting for a long time, burst in from all directions and, together with the Ninja Boy’s parents, surrounded him again.

But this time.

[Without a word, you choose to surrender. Facing your tearful parents, you apologize to them]

The disheartened Ninja Boy gave up resisting.

The scene freezes here.

”...Huh?”

Baimu felt a bit stunned, but before he could ponder that this ending was too dark, the narration and scene flickered several times.

[Due to your young age, you were sent to a juvenile correctional facility. During this time, you persist in continuing to train in the Ninja Path, believing perhaps your achievement at the tournament wasn’t considered a ”big thing” by the Ninja’s Book]

[During your stay in the juvenile correctional facility, your mentor, who taught you Aromatherapy, and the Shuijing Gym Leader visited you]

[You were released after three years and received news that someone was developing a medicine that could awaken your grandfather; that person turns out to be your mentor and the Shuijing Gym Leader, who closed the gym to help you]

[You decide to put aside studying toxins and focus on pharmacology, understanding that developing this medicine would indeed be a big thing, saving countless people suffering from diseases because of you]

[You aspire to become a Medical Ninja]

[Simulation ends]
