Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1102: Chapter 659: Bloodstained Crescent Moon (Part 2)

It’s here! [Intimidation] trait!

A bright blue light emanates from Hydreigon, illustrating the essence of its aura.

Unexpectedly, the trait has taken shape at the level of consciousness.

What a terrifying Pokémon!

”...”

Baimu’s throat rolls as he temporarily puts aside his questions about resonance. This spine-chilling Salamence reminds him the battle is far from over; indeed, the real drama is about to unfold.

The ace Pokémon of the top Four Celestial Kings...

He looks at the Hydreigon, slowly flapping its wing-like appendages. After ”resonance,” it seems to have undergone some slight changes.

The exact changes are unknown, and it remains to be seen after the battle ends.

”Dragon Breath.”

Genji’s command voice comes from the opposite side.

The words fall.

Whoosh!

An indigo flamethrower pierces the sky, hitting Hydreigon’s chest at a speed beyond human reaction, exploding with a deafening boom. The whole scene is instantly engulfed in firelight and black smoke!

”Rrrrgh...”

A faint howl is heard, followed by Hydreigon tumbling from the smoke, its massive form crashing onto the fragmented ground, raising clouds of dust.

The onlookers gasp in amazement.

But when they look at Salamence again, they see a hint of black energy clinging to its deep blue scales.

”It’s Taunt!”

”Did it use that just now?”

”That guy is incredible... I really want to train a Hydreigon too!”

Despite the fact that the focus of the conversation, Hydreigon, has lost its ability to fight, the Dragon Tamers’ eyes shine brightly, eager to cultivate similar Dragon-type Pokémon.

After all, its heroic stance in the fierce battles against Shelgon and Flygon, defeating powerful foes with tenacious will, is enough to win over every Dragon Tamer present.

However...

Could Baimu stand a chance against that Salamence?

Among the Meteor People, who are not merely Dragon Tamers, there are faces of worry. Genji’s reputation in Meteor Village is mainly built on Salamence’s prowess, and everyone is well aware of how powerful it truly is!

Across Meteor Village and Dragon Nest, no Dragon-type Pokémon has ever defeated Genji’s Salamence.

Even if Xijana, the strongest of the younger generation, were to battle with her Salamence, at most she could only draw.

The decades of experience are genuine!

Under a multitude of worried gazes, Baimu doesn’t hesitate. As he throws the Pokeball, he also opens his collar.

The Super Pendant swings in the wind.

Someone shouts, ”It’s the Key Stone! Super Evolution is coming!”

Immersed in the fantasy of cultivating Hydreigon, the Dragon Tamers immediately snap back to reality, their expressions becoming excited.

Due to the rigorous trial system, even the Meteor People with deep heritage cannot guarantee every Dragon Tamer possesses a Key Stone and a Super Stone.

Therefore, a battle involving Super Evolution not only symbolizes excitement but also represents their dreams.

Bang!

The Pokeball opens.

”Chomp!”

Mawile lands in the arena, staring at the cracked earth beneath its feet, with its cute eyebrows gently furrowing.

It dislikes such rough terrain. The awkward stance slightly affects its power, but upon seeing the Salamence across the field, with its intense aura almost tangible, it immediately puts it aside.

This guy...

Is strong!

It’s reminiscent of the feeling it had while training and battling at the Glazed Gym against Swampert and Milotic.

But if they’re not mistaken, the opponent should be a Dragon-type Pokémon.

Then it’s not a problem!

The Trainer said it’s the Dragon Beast Slayer!

”Chomp!”

Mawile clenches its fists tightly, and the Trainer’s low voice resounds behind it.

”Super Evolution!”

Buzz!

A blinding light emerges from the massive glass orb at the back of its head, resembling colorful currents entwining as a spiritual chain flies out, connecting with the chain shooting forth from behind!

Roar!

The air resounds with a muffled sound.

The violent, dissipating energy transforms into a horrendous gale, spreading outward from Mawile, which suddenly evolves amid the white light.

The already fragile ground immediately shatters into countless pieces, with rocks and dust soaring into the sky amid terrifying energy fluctuations!

It must be said.

The process of Mawile’s Super Evolution is incredibly dramatic.

Even Genji, who is well-traveled and knowledgeable, showed a slight ripple in his eyes, then he silently grasped the left lapel and pulled it open, taking out an ancient flintlock gun.

From the side view, you can see a shining Key Stone embedded in the center.

”Cough! Super Evolution!”

Genji coughed gently and pressed the trigger.

Click!

The mechanism sounded.

Dazzling light transformed into a chain of mind lightning surging forward, violently reacting with the Super Stone clasped at the root of Salamence’s left wing with a ring!

”Awooo!”

Salamence roared with fury, unleashing an energy wave no less potent than Mawile’s, causing the ground to tremor and sending countless sand and stones flying.

The Meteor People marveled at the two dazzling lights until they each dimmed.

On one side.

It’s the cute and charming Mega Mawile, appearing like a pink geisha, with monstrous jaws on its back that seemed to bite the air with self-awareness, emitting a crisp clacking sound.

On the other side.

It’s the expansive double wings merging into one, resembling a crimson crescent moon, with its head, neck, and torso becoming slender, sharp triangular wings on both sides of the face intensively extended, the limbs folded Mega Salamence.

After Super Evolution, the menace it exudes became even more intense, truly deserving the nickname ”Bloodied New Moon.”

The Pokémon on both sides stared at each other.

Through the faint resonance of Super Evolution, both understood they were the Trainer’s last Pokémon.

In other words.

The upcoming battle will be decisive!

”Grandpa Qing Liu, who is more likely to win?”

”Hard to say, although Mawile holds the Attribute advantage, Genji is not a novice; he has strategies to defeat opponents with Fairy Attribute...”

Qing Liu answered the person beside him, his eyes concealing a hint of worry.

In his view, Genji is not inferior to juniors like Da Wu and Mikoli; however, at their age, it’s hard not to yield.

Over the years in the Champion Alliance, hasn’t Genji’s defeat been mainly due to him being unable to keep up with the intensity of Pokémon battles?

Especially in the Super Evolution state.

Once faltering, even a fleeting moment is enough to affect the connected Pokémon, allowing the opponent to seize the opportunity and decisively strike!

The stronger the opponent, the more energy it consumes.

Qing Liu knew the previous two battles with Baimu had already consumed much of Genji’s Heart Power, coupled with the explosive aftermath of Dragon Dive, and the seemingly unintended cough during Super Evolution.

That’s why Genji said, ”Even if it ends here.”

Must hold on till the end!

Genji!

You are Hoenn’s strongest among the Four Heavenly Kings!

Qing Liu’s small, frail body trembled slightly, knowing how painful it is for a Trainer to be unable to engage in a fierce battle due to physical constraints.

And just as he shouted inwardly.

The two Pokémon on the field began their first intense clash!

”Electromagnetic Levitation!”

”Jet Flame!”

Baimu and Genji ordered simultaneously.

However, Mega Salamence’s initiation speed was slightly faster, its crescent-shaped blood-red wings bringing it like lightning in front of Mega Mawile.

”Awooo!”

It spewed a scorching orange-red flame upwards diagonally, forming a sea of fire as if to incinerate everything.

This is a prediction of the evasion path!

However.

To Mega Salamence’s surprise, Mega Mawile did not use Electromagnetic Levitation directly upward but instead slipped back by a tiptoe.

Buzz—

Countless bright yellow currents shot from its body surface into the ground, as the cracked and ruined terrain rumbled, massive rocks levitated, quickly veiling its figure!

Genji folded his arms, coughed gently.

Didn’t expect Mega Salamence’s attack intention to be seen through so easily.

Getting better and better, huh?

He only found Baimu increasingly pleasing to the eye.

The mental connection in Super Evolution allows them not to give too long commands, thus enabling the Pokémon to carry out relatively specific actions.

Therefore, Mega Salamence’s path prediction and Mega Mawile’s dodge anticipation were unsurprising.

The key lies in the Trainer’s insight.

Unfortunately.

If Baimu is willing to stay in Hoenn, then there would be someone to take over his position, and after being one of the Four Heavenly Kings for decades, he could retire honorably to continue his sailing endeavors...

To seek the Dragonite that once saved him.
