Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 746: Chapter 498: Ore Brute_2

He felt that he was too driven by convenience, leading him to recklessly misuse his abilities.

Though the goal was achieved...

The Rayquaza of Hoenn was willing to give humans another chance to properly utilize the Legendary Giant Stone and acknowledged his identity as an Inheritor of the Meteor People.

This grand gesture vastly reshaped Baimu’s perception of Rayquaza.

It’s worth knowing, in animation, the Rayquaza of Hoenn suffered from human technology more than once, the first time being in the movie ”Void Visitor” when it was overwhelmed by rampaging cube robots. The second time was in the movie ”Prince of the Azure Sea” opening scene when Rocket Team captured it with missiles and specialized restraint devices.

Eventually, it regained freedom, but human technology left considerable mental scars.

Those two who captured it, Baimu was quite familiar with—

Once Lei Gong made a move, and had rushed Meteor Village with Pusen and Bashu, they completed the capture of Rayquaza with the aid of Rocket Team’s renowned researcher Dr. Shilano.

Although all three actions ended in failure, there’s no denying Rocket Team’s capabilities.

”I made a mistake.”

Baimu turned and, shame-facedly, said to the alternate-colored Rayquaza looking to the direction where the Rayquaza of Hoenn departed.

The latter did not respond.

After a long time.

The alternate-colored Rayquaza slowly approached and extended its claw to touch his hand, its lowered eyes showing friendliness, promptly following in a high flight, the rumbling sound of breaking through the air continued to echo.

On Baimu’s earnest request, it would return to the Carlos Region again to search for the traces of the Legendary Giant Stone from above and monitor it.

In other words, it’s another prepared contingency.

But as long as Fladari hadn’t completed the Super Evolutionary Energy System, the alternate-colored Rayquaza wouldn’t need to intervene.

Both dragons departed.

Baimu stood at the Dragon-Summoning Altar, blowing cold air while searching everywhere for scales. Finding nothing, he requested the Hoopa Card Spatial Gate to take him away.

”Apologies can wait for another opportunity; it’s time to wrap things up.”

——

Kanaz City.

When Baimu received the Super Bracelet from Laisa, Ailan was still unconscious in the hospital room.

According to the doctor, he suffered a rather severe impact and was extremely physically exhausted; hence, he needed some time to rest. Although he was not in serious condition, it was best for him to have a quiet rest and remain under observation for a few days.

Fladari, upon hearing the news, graciously gave this lad a leave.

This straightforward kid getting ill from overwork wasn’t something this ambitious man wanted to see.

Manon was also quite happy; she most resisted Ailan’s tendency to run around recklessly, putting himself in danger, so him resting calmly was naturally what she wished for.

Da Wu visited a few times but left as he had other matters to attend to.

Only Xijana took an early flight to the Carlos Region; she had no choice as she was always a lone wolf with her own opinions; she couldn’t just tag along with Da Wu.

”Mr. Baimu!”

The sleepy Manon saw Baimu enter from outside and quickly got up to greet him. Next to her, Chespin, who was already asleep, jerked awake with a confused face, crystallized drool still at the corner of its mouth.

”If you’re tired, you should sleep earlier; you need to be in good spirits for adventuring with Ailan,” Baimu patted her shoulder and continued, ”rest assured, there are nurses and Nurse Blissey in the hospital overseeing things, there won’t be a problem.”

Manon scratched her head bashfully, ”Then... should I go and rest?”

”Go ahead, I’ll check on Ailan’s condition.” He spoke softly, and the young girl reluctantly left.

After a while.

Baimu glanced at the bedside cabinet, checked Ailan, who was still unconscious, subtly opened the cabinet and quickly found the Super Bracelet placed on top.

He truly didn’t expect he’d have the opportunity to swap the Super Bracelet; according to the original storyline, Ailan woke up after being fainted briefly, his perseverance was astonishing...

Was the Lucky Scale assisting?

Anyhow, after swapping it, it’d be given to Laisa for checking.

Baimu deftly removed the Key Stone and replaced the Super Bracelet with the one from his pocket, comparing the size of the rings and the inner feelings along the way, finding them nearly identical, quickly shut the cabinet and left the hospital.

Beep.

The phone made a soft sound.

”Did the footage get replaced?” Baimu asked softly.

Porygon II in the phone responded: 『It’s replaced, no one will notice.』

Porygon II was one of the strongest hackers in the present age; at least, this little hospital’s firewall couldn’t resist its infiltration, easily modifying the ward surveillance.

He found Laisa again.

”Is this the ’stolen goods’ you wanted to swap out?” Laisa pinched the Super Bracelet, observing it from different angles.

Being involved in the research of Super Evolution Energy naturally meant she was no fool, when seeing Baimu bringing the ”thing” again, she had pretty much guessed.

Baimu nodded, keeping his face unchanged, ”Please check its internal condition, if I’m not mistaken, it contains remarkable Super Evolution Energy!”

”You really trust me; aren’t you afraid I’ll report to Miss Jun Sha and get you arrested?”

Laisa rolled her eyes, grumbling about his impolite behavior, ”And are you joking? How can a Super Bracelet store Super Evolution Energy...”

Seeing Baimu’s earnest face, she swallowed the latter half of her words and said, ”I’m unsure what you’re planning, just one question, does Da Wu know?”

”When you examine the energy and structure of the bracelet, it’ll naturally become obvious to him.”

”...Alright.”

Laisa took the Super Bracelet and left.

But as soon as she left, Baimu contacted Da Wu on the heels, particularly stating he stole the bracelet from Ailan.

At this moment, Mr. Champion was in the conference room explaining the series of events happening near shore to the mayor of Kanaz City and his father, President Zifuqi. When discussing, he glanced at his phone and felt his face freeze, promptly excusing himself and rushing downstairs.

”Baimu!”

Da Wu found Baimu waiting outside the research lab for a good show, helplessly asked, ”Why do such things?”

”Sorry, I just hope you can pay more attention,”

The latter spoke softly, ”I also saw it in a fleeting glimpse during the battle with Ailan; his own Super Evolution didn’t light up, but when Aggron performed a Super Evolution, it did. Don’t you think there’s something wrong here?”

”That doesn’t mean... forget it.”

Da Wu sighed, previously commending Baimu for being composed, yet the latter was so recklessly impulsive.

It reflected his youth.

Of course.

He also understood that people coming out of the Ore Region were infused with a primitive air in their actions, always direct and swift, striking directly at the core without contemplating other peaceful solutions.

After all, the Ore People’s environment was not reconcilable in the past, instilling such habits in them.

Before long.

Laisa quickly turned in the research lab, upon seeing Da Wu, she first stammered and then frantically waved him over.

Seeing this, Da Wu entered through the door.

”You must see this, it’s extraordinary!” Laisa pointed to the computer screen’s analysis of the Super Bracelet, ”This thing mimics part of the Key Stone’s structure, automatically absorbs energy from within Pokémon. Though each absorption isn’t much, the accumulated results you see...”

Equally involved in Super Evolution Energy research, Da Wu couldn’t ignore the implications here.

They had created something like ”Absorption Disc,” but certainly, the Absorption Disc was far inferior to this small Super Bracelet; the technology imbued in it shocked Da Wu.

Baimu was not surprised at all, knowing the core members of Lysandre Labs were largely scientists, among them a middle-aged fatty named Kuselloski was a genius amongst geniuses, akin to the Netherworld King of Galaxy Team.

The mental control system for the two 50% Zygarde in the animation was likely his masterpiece, unfortunately, the genius brain wasn’t utilized properly.

Da Wu looked at the Super Bracelet on the screen, then turned his gaze to Baimu beside him.

He could clearly understand the latter’s intended message.

Apparently, the secrets hidden within Lysandre Labs were far deeper than he initially thought...

He pondered silently.

Seeing his expression, Baimu’s heart settled somewhat.

Now Da Wu shouldn’t just overlook Chespin’s anomalies, right?

The dainty manner of Da Wu from the animation was overly polite; he never considered the proximity of the research lab for capturing Zygarde, with Chespin having issues, as a sign of anything amiss.
