Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 702: Chapter 478: Battle of Green Ridge

The Gym was eerily quiet.

Xiaofeng and Konan had just gone through the absolute power shock from Mega Mawile, indicating ”So you are the Hall Master, huh?”, and the two seemed to face each other wordlessly, but were actually communicating with their eyes.

[Come on, say something! Didn’t you always do the talking before?]

[I don’t know what to say! Have we ever seen someone this strong before?]

[Why not just skip it...]

[No way, that would make us look unprofessional! What if he complains about our skill level?]

[It can’t be...]

The two were making faces at each other, completely unaware that Rey, acting as the referee, was frequently signaling them from afar, occasionally giving a soft cough as a reminder.

On the other side, Baimu quietly observed Mega Mawile’s state, noticing it was panting with its head down, not raising its head for a long time, and the double jaws at the back drooped without the usual arc. Thinking that the limit might have come too quickly, its energy was more depleted than during internal battles.

It might not last more than a few minutes.

He looked at Xiaofeng and Konan opposite him, waiting a long time without hearing their evaluation or seeing new Pokémon.

Mega Mawile was about to enter cooldown, and Magic Space was about to end. Why weren’t they rushing to comment and start the next round?

Did they notice that Mega Mawile’s power was not completely mastered?

None of the four spoke, each a little anxious.

The only one not anxious was Porygon II, revolving along with the planets above, feeling like it was on a roller coaster, unexpectedly amusing, and if it weren’t in a Gym Battle, it could play all day.

”Pali~~~”

It emitted a soft exclamation along with the planetary movements.

”Cough!”

Rey finally couldn’t take it anymore, coughing heavily to break the silence.

Baimu was the first to speak: ”Is there something wrong here...”

”No, no.”

”It’s just been a long time since we encountered such an outstanding challenger like you, a little surprised... Let’s continue!”

Xiaofeng and Konan smoothly praised quickly, seizing the staircase and sending out two previously decided Pokémon.

Bang bang!

Bright light flashed.

Two green-haired humanoid Pokémon landed steadily on the ground.

”Sha-na~”

”Lido!”

One had a tender voice, the other a low roar, obviously Gardevoir and Gallade, the duo of male and female Psychic-type Pokémon.

At the moment of their appearance, the former’s eyes glowed blue as it stared at Mega Mawile, its body suddenly swayed.

[Copy] Trait triggered!

Strongman Gardevoir entered the field!

Finally here.

Baimu narrowed his eyes slightly, at this moment Mega Mawile had at most one strike left in it, Magic Space was about to end, but through coordination with Porygon II, it could take down Xiaofeng and Konan’s ace Pokémon. Calling it the MVP of this Gym Challenge wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

One strike, let it be one strike, maximize the effect!

As if hearing the Trainer’s thoughts, Mega Mawile, which had been keeping its head down, suddenly raised its head. Its eyes burned brightly like flames, and its bell-like voice was full of decisiveness.

”Chido!”

”Go! The final Playful!” Baimu instructed in a deep voice, quicker than the two landed Pokémon reacted.

Thump!

The ground trembled.

As Magic Space entered the countdown to end, Mega Mawile disappeared from its original position as wind, even faster than before, who knows from which Pokémon it inherited such speed.

Xiaofeng and Konan, constantly on guard, shouted together: ”Instant Movement!”

No matter which one Mega Mawile targets, timely evasion was certainly right, especially since Solrock couldn’t defend even with Defend, let alone Gardevoir and Gallade.

Almost simultaneously as they issued the command.

Mega Mawile, swift as the wind, suddenly reappeared, its right fist closed tight, a glaring pink light shining towards Gallade, releasing a dazzling radiance like a cross star. Energy burst forth from its slightly opened twin jaws behind, forming dense pink mist and colorful stars revolving incessantly around it.

What a spectacular and striking [Playful]!

Standing—

Strike!

The air compressed as if under immense force, echoing with thunderous impact, causing Xiaofeng and Konan to change their expressions.

This move... Who can withstand it!

But just as Mega Mawile executed that punch, an extraordinarily distorted spatial force instantly whisked Gallade away, leaving the star-studded heavy punch to fall on an empty spot.

Thud!

Sound like a gong!

Milky white fierce energy swept the sandstorm in a rumbling thunderous roar, causing Rey, who was close to Mega Mawile, to raise his hand in defense.

The Magic Space countdown ended and seemed affected, dissipating completely.

Xiaofeng and Konan couldn’t help but marvel again, if that punch had hit—

Hmm!?

Where’s Gallade?

As the Trainer, Xiaofeng suddenly noticed that only Gardevoir remained on the other side of the field, and Gallade, supposed to be nearby, was nowhere in sight.

”Triple Attack!”

Baimu’s shout made him instinctively look up, finally seeing Gallade deeply embedded in a fiery red planet, Porygon II transformed into a square turret perfectly aimed at it.

Instantly.

Red, blue, and yellow light each shone within the cannon’s barrel, followed by beams of different colors fired at Gallade!

Boom!!

”Gallade!”

Xiaofeng’s voice was instantly engulfed by the explosion sound, while Gardevoir, attempting rescue, was also forced back by the aftermath.

He could never have imagined that Mega Mawile’s Playful hadn’t missed, as the upward swinging punch due to its height placed it perfectly when Gallade instantaneously moved to the chosen location, hammering it hard onto the field’s pinnacle.
