Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 744: Chapter 497: Tyrannical Dragon God (Part 2)

And all it took was a rightful gesture of aid and a gentle nod to the chosen ones.

These humans would be overjoyed beyond measure.

”...”

The Rayquaza of Hoenn lifted its golden eyes, looking at the Alternate-colored Rayquaza opposite it, whose expression was filled with an odd vitality, quite different from itself.

Hmph.

The one it admired was getting close to other Rayquaza. How panicked would that human be if it expressed any anger?

The Hoenn Rayquaza felt a rare sense of mischief, but ultimately did not act on it, as it had more important matters to attend to.

”...Roar!”

It let out a low thunderous growl, and the air current from its mouth almost knocked the other Rayquaza off balance.

This scene left it slightly dissatisfied. If others were so weak at enduring, how could it convey its thoughts? Through telepathy perhaps? It couldn’t do that.

As if sensing the feelings of the Hoenn Rayquaza, the Alternate-colored Rayquaza suddenly approached and encircled the other, lowering its head gently to rest beside it.

You speak?

Alright.

The Hoenn Rayquaza didn’t feel offended; it cared only about its territory, and secondly about the humans calling themselves the Meteor People. Knowing the purpose of the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, it didn’t harbor any vigilance towards it.

On the other side.

Baimu, worried he might have offended the Hoenn Rayquaza earlier, looked at the Alternate-colored Rayquaza huddled beside him, puzzling over its intentions.

Was he being protected?

No.

The Alternate-colored Rayquaza wanted to communicate with him.

He looked again at the Hoenn Rayquaza, whose face remained unmoved, showing no excess emotion, realizing he must use the Divine Heart.

Thus, Baimu briefly composed himself, touched the forehead of the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, and entered the golden Mind Space together.

Seeing the golden light emanating from his hand, the Hoenn Rayquaza’s eyes revealed some surprise.

A human with a special ability!

This was rare; it had traveled worldwide for so long and hadn’t seen many like this. For a moment, it regarded Baimu as if viewing an SSR character card in a game.

Of course, the Hoenn Rayquaza didn’t interrupt their mind interaction out of curiosity, only thinking that since this human was one of the Meteor People, having him satisfy its curiosity later shouldn’t be an issue—

For a Pokémon with advanced wisdom and endless life, only new and novel things could appeal to it.

But unlike the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, which would approach out of curiosity, the Hoenn Rayquaza would not waste energy satisfying its curiosity unless necessary. Their pursuits were different.

Meanwhile.

Baimu finally drew a conclusion.

He opened his eyes with an expression that was somewhat peculiar.

The actions of the Hoenn Rayquaza, the events that unfolded after the Alternate-colored Rayquaza pursued, were all explained through their mental interaction.

He sorted through the main information he had gained.

Firstly, the Hoenn Rayquaza’s pursuit of the Legendary Giant Stone wasn’t to claim it but rather to completely destroy it.

One reason was that it considered the Hoenn Continent its private land. The Legendary Giant Stone might trigger another conflict between Kyogre and Groudon as it did a millennium ago, disrupting its rest and the climate.

Being the strongest on the Hoenn Continent, what meaning would it have in becoming even stronger? Preventing others from becoming stronger to challenge it sufficed.

Secondly, it believed humans couldn’t properly utilize the energy contained in the Legendary Giant Stone. It had given humans a chance a thousand years ago, but unfortunately, even though ancient humans had a brilliant civilization and various mysterious black technologies, they still failed to benefit the world, instead filling the Hoenn Continent with strife.

Therefore, the Hoenn Rayquaza decided to destroy the Legendary Giant Stone—”If I don’t want it, you can’t have it either!”

Unfortunately, this thing only appeared to be a stone. Attacking it recklessly would only make it disappear suddenly as before under the Meteor Shower.

So the Hoenn Rayquaza, which had recently defeated Kyogre and Groudon, delayed taking the Legendary Giant Stone away, as it pondered how to destroy it. Who would have thought humans would be so unruly as to suddenly steal it with a flash grenade?

Naturally, the Rayquaza lost its target and stopped the pursuit; it felt the Legendary Giant Stone could go anywhere as long as it wasn’t on the Hoenn Continent.

At least, that was the initial thought.

But after seeing Baimu, it considered letting humans find a way to destroy it, because although these beings were weak individually, gathered together, their destructive power could even surpass its own.

The Hoenn Rayquaza closed its eyes, vividly recalling an encounter years ago when it was swamped by many strange things while pursuing two extraterrestrial visitors in a human city.

”Too overbearing.”

Baimu couldn’t have imagined such extreme thoughts from the Hoenn Rayquaza, feeling as if an adult saw children fighting over candy, snatched it away, and slapped the biggest two, then tried to stomp it to pieces.

But for destroying the Legendary Giant Stone... Remember, even after Zygarde was freed from the stone in the plot, it wasn’t destroyed but disappeared again, its resilience terrifyingly tenacious.

It’s not hard to see that this candy was more like metal made! Not sugar!

This is tough, boss!

Baimu looked at the Hoenn Rayquaza with difficulty, thinking that instead of destroying the Legendary Giant Stone, having it developed into clean energy by De Wen Company seemed promising.

He pondered on how to persuade this boss to give humans a chance.

He thought about it, inevitably reminded of the interaction between the Alternate-colored Rayquaza and the Hoenn Rayquaza.

Most Legendary Pokémon express emotions based on their personalities, straightforwardly, like the Hoenn Rayquaza, which cherished its territory immensely. After being offended by the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, they engaged in a fierce interaction beyond the atmosphere.

Upon realizing they couldn’t overpower each other, they chose to communicate.

The Hoenn Rayquaza assumed the Alternate-colored Rayquaza was there to seize its territory and the Legendary Giant Stone, refusing to cede even an inch; as for the Giant Stone, it could take it if it wished, just stay out of the Hoenn Region afterwards.

The Alternate-colored Rayquaza expressed no interest in the Giant Stone, came simply for curiosity, and wasn’t after territory, drawn over by a human.

The Hoenn Rayquaza glanced and noticed the child’s foolishness, generously overlooking it and even inviting it to jointly find and think of how to destroy the Giant Stone.

The Alternate-colored Rayquaza agreed, but first went back to find Baimu, only to miss him as he had already set out to Kanaz City. So it followed the Hoenn Rayquaza to the offshore of Kanaz City for a fight, also looking for Baimu.

Just like that.

Baimu understood the full process and fell silent.

Among Pokémon... the simplicity remains, regardless of being Divine Beasts. Their attitude of throwing a punch and then asking questions exemplifies their blend of instinct and reason.

As for why previous battles with Deoxys were so fierce...

Nothing could be done.

The Hoenn Rayquaza roared after the fight, ”Where are you from, kid!?”

Deoxys One: ”... (releases aurora)”

Hoenn Rayquaza: ”Can you speak Dragon!!?”

Deoxys One: ”... (releases aurora)”

With its impatient nature, such communication efficiency was sure to frustrate it; neither was on the same linguistic system. Deoxys probably felt quite aggrieved, being from afar didn’t mean they lacked manners.

What can you do if you can’t understand the ”dialect”? We can’t speak ”standard speech”.

Luckily, the outcome was positive.

Language barriers aside, actions can convey intentions.

Like the way the two Deoxys helped the Hoenn Rayquaza when it was swamped by block robots, proving their friendliness.

Baimu thought for a while, raised his hand towards the Hoenn Rayquaza, considering using his Divine Heart on it, likely without offending it.
