Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 722: Chapter 488: Riding the Black Dragon

The alternate-colored Rayquaza closed its mouth, savoring the taste for a moment—

”Psh!”

It suddenly widened its eyes, blowing a strong breath towards Baimu, who was close by!

Baimu, caught off guard, was directly blown away, and Hoopa screamed as it was blown back into the ring, almost colliding with Mei Yali on the other side.

The sudden change startled the drowsy Hydreigon, which drooled as it charged forward.

Unfortunately, Dragapult was faster, and not having been dozing off, it was the first to use its sturdy tail to catch the trainer flying out.

”...Waddles.” It gently swung its tail to let the trainer stand firm.

”Ooh! Th—Dragapult, thank you.”

Baimu instinctively thought it was Hydreigon, since, in his impression, only the coordinated Hydreigon could react so swiftly.

Who would have thought it was actually the Dragapult, whose relationship had only recently become more friendly.

This surprised him and also brought a bit of comfort, his eyes burning as he looked at the other. Growing Pokémon is just like this: with effort and enduring the test of time, even the hardest-hearted Pokémon can be softened one day.

What’s more, Dragapult had already started actively protecting his safety.

With its introverted personality, it would have chosen to watch coldly in the past, thinking that Hydreigon could rush over to rescue, thus it was unnecessary to expend its own energy.

Things are not the same now!

”Waddles.”

Dragapult felt a bit embarrassed being watched, so it vanished invisibly.

Baimu’s face was full of smiles, and after patting the flying Hydreigon, he shifted his gaze to the shaking, nodding Rayquaza, which had a look of ”this stuff is potent” and seemed ready to sneeze again.

The mighty rainbow-colored Poké Block is of a composite flavor, encompassing sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and astringent tastes. Interestingly, after it enters the mouth, it magnifies the flavor you like.

For example, if Mawile feels joy from sweetness, upon eating the mighty rainbow-colored Poké Block, the sweet taste inside will be infinitely magnified to achieve the best taste it deems optimal, bringing an unparalleled marvelous flavor.

He believes Poké Block is comparable to the Pokeball, becoming one of the greatest human creations in history.

Judging from Rayquaza’s performance...

Well, this guy really loves spicy food, even getting a bit high.

”Big talk, eh!”

Hoopa exclaimed, flying back from within the ring, hovering around Rayquaza’s head, ”Why doesn’t Hoopa sneeze when eating Poké Block?”

Because you love sweets, at most you’ll just feel overly sweet.

Baimu secretly muttered inwardly, reaching into his backpack with regret, the Buried Tower didn’t have trees, so lighting a fire was mostly not doable.

Let’s just keep it simple tonight.

”Hoopa! Later when I make something to eat, do you want some?” He held a bunch of Pokeballs open and asked Hoopa amid the constantly flashing white light.

”Any donuts?”

Hoopa curiously sucked on its hand, probably reminiscing the fragrance the donuts left when tasted before, much like Teddiursa.

Baimu shook his head, ”No.”

”Then Hoopa won’t eat, Hoopa is going to sleep.” It decisively turned away, saying goodbye immediately upon hearing no donuts.

The ring closed.

Aggron and the other Pokémon glanced around, and upon noticing the alternate-colored Rayquaza, were startled, but gradually eased upon seeing it had no aggressive intent.

As Baimu turned on an incandescent lamp, illuminating the somewhat dim platform under the surface green light, Blissey hurried over to help.

Aggron walked to the edge of the platform, peering out through the giant window at the vast, deep sea outside.

If only the Buried Tower weren’t facing away from the continent where the Johto Region lies, it might even peek at the dazzling glow from human cities—a light pollution in essence.

Human city lights are so many that even night’s darkness can be lit into violet-red.

Where is this place?

Aggron contemplated as Milotic’s voice sounded in its ear, ”Milo-r~”

The two of them usually had no other hobbies, just liked huddling together watching the sea, as if they could see something in it, a joy even Baimu couldn’t understand.

Mawile sure is straightforward and easy to understand.

It opened its phone for a look, discovered a signal, and then found its pillow to lie down, playing on its phone while waiting for dinner.

Corsola snuck to Mawile’s side to slack off, having discovered that only here it wouldn’t be disturbed by any Pokémon.

Except, of course, the trainer.

Porygon II emerged cautiously from Baimu’s phone, beginning a careful scan of the alternate-colored Rayquaza’s body, just like Ash Ketchum’s Rotom Illustrated Guide, liking to record data of divine beasts and save it in the database.

Hydegerigon, finally unable to resist its drowsiness, went into the assembled tent to sleep, teamed up in there with the Dreepy Siblings.

Evening cultivator Dragapult had yet to appear, presumably still shy for a while longer.

As Rayquaza came to from the excitement of spicy flavors, it saw such a lively scene.

It wasn’t that it hadn’t seen trainers and Pokémon living together, but being this close was definitely a first, hence feeling rather novel.

Besides the novelty.

It recalled the taste from earlier.

The Poké Block was obviously just so small, didn’t even require chewing, just a slight press could turn it into powder, but why so flavorful!

”Hmm...”

Rayquaza still wanted to eat more, its golden dragon eyes looking at Baimu preparing dinner.

Seemingly sensing its gaze, Baimu turned his head, first startled, then smiled and said, ”Want more? Alright, though I don’t have much left.”
