Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 742: Chapter 496: The Groudon-Kyogre Tragedy (Part 2)

Even the molten rock land created by Primordial Groudon seemed to crumble easily under this move.

The seawater surged up from the lowest point, shooting up hundreds of meters, completely submerging both Primordial Groudon and Primordial Kyogre, forming a giant circular crater.

”Kyogre, they...”

Manon swallowed hard.

”They should have been repelled by Rayquaza.” Da Wu’s face showed no sign of relief, ”This power is truly terrifying!”

In front of two Mega Rayquaza, the Super Ancient Pokémon battle they couldn’t intervene in had no room for resistance, their relaxed posture like beating up kindergarteners...

It might be excessive to say so, but the battle just now indeed gave him that impression.

Baimu remained silent, fully aware that in the original storyline, Kyogre and Groudon couldn’t even defeat one Rayquaza and were beaten back to their Primordial Return state by the Finishing Touch, let alone this time with two of them.

Were these two brothers directly overwhelmed?

After all, with only one Rayquaza, they could barely fight back and lose with grace, unlike the current disastrous state.

He even felt that the Alternate-colored Rayquaza seemed not quite satisfied, probably very happy and excited to attack other Pokémon with full force.

If only it could swim, otherwise, it might have already charged down to capture the unlucky Wailord and non-flyers.

...Hmm?

Why does it seem like it has no interest in the Legendary Giant Stone? What’s it here for?

Baimu saw the Alternate-colored Rayquaza constantly staring at the sea, allowing Hoenn Rayquaza to guard the Legendary Giant Stone, raising a sense of doubt within him.

Suddenly.

As if sensing his gaze, Alternate-colored Rayquaza shifted its sight over, meeting eyes with him, who was holding onto the cabin door.

”Roar!”

The eyes of Alternate-colored Rayquaza gleamed with surprise, dropping the Hoenn Rayquaza and flying over.

The pilot was nearly scared to death as it approached, thinking it meant to attack, hurriedly intending to drive away for evasion, but how could the transport aircraft be more agile than the Mega-evolved Alternate-colored Rayquaza? The latter easily reached near the cabin door, its huge head blocking the entire side door without revealing any color.

The accompanying Mega Metagross and Salamence tried to attack, but were firmly stopped by the serious expressions of Da Wu and Xijana.

Manon, trembling with fear, didn’t dare to look, clutching the still-unconscious Ailan and Chespin.

”...Alright then.”

Baimu grinned inexplicably, then suddenly jumped onto the head of the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, turning to Da Wu and Xijana, ”It’s okay, I’ll be back soon.”

With concern overflowing in Da Wu’s heart, he could only solemnly say, ”Take care.”

Xijana didn’t look at the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, only admonishing him, ”Be safe, avoid if you can!”

This ”traditional” girl likely wouldn’t have any fondness for the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, even if it had just joined forces with the Hoenn Rayquaza, maintaining respect and keeping distance was probably her response.

As for Baimu forming an inexplicable friendship with the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, she wasn’t so pedantic as to consider the latter an anomaly, still concerned for this difficult-to-return clansman, with no change in her attitude.

Because she also understood that friendships between humans and such dangerous Pokémon as Rayquaza often required one side to keep compromising; it was far from being as easy and joyous as it seemed on the surface.

”Okay.”

Baimu nodded to the two, then smiled at the timid Manon, grabbing on to the single-sided Dragon Horn of the Alternate-colored Rayquaza.

The latter, feeling him steady himself, immediately headed towards the nearby Hoenn Rayquaza.

At the same time.

An upheaval on the vast sea surface; a pitch-black submarine emerged, opening numerous launch ports on its surface. Pure white missiles shot out, exploding at a certain height, covering the entire sky in dazzling white light, so bright that even the Hoenn Rayquaza and Alternate-colored Rayquaza couldn’t see the surrounding situation for a short time.

Only Baimu, who was prepared in advance, vaguely saw the submarine, after launching the powerful Flash Grenades, shooting out a peculiar colorful light net, capturing the Legendary Giant Stone.

”The Giant Stone’s reaction has vanished!”

The intelligence officer’s exclamation was followed by Da Wu’s grave voice, ”Vanished?”

As the flash subsided, the Hoenn Rayquaza and Alternate-colored Rayquaza cluelessly searched for the Legendary Giant Stone’s whereabouts, while the pitch-black submarine had long submerged into the sea, completely disappearing just like the Legendary Giant Stone.

”Worthy of human Black Technology...”

Baimu took off his sunglasses, thinking somewhat helplessly.

Even though the Rayquaza had already shown such immense mighty power, they were nonetheless played around aimlessly in the face of mankind’s endless Black Technology.

At least in the animated backdrop, the vast majority of Legendary Pokémon, holding many natural dominions like gods, can’t withstand technological forces.

The Hoenn Rayquaza hesitated for a moment, detached from its Mega Evolution state, and so did the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, both crying out as they flew to the distant horizon.

Xijana didn’t forget the purpose of her coming to the Kanaz City offshore. Upon seeing this, she immediately wanted to ride Salamence to catch up, but the voice from her earpiece made her stop.

”Succeeded.”

Fladari’s voice rang in everyone’s ears, ”We analyzed the components extracted from the Giant Stone last time and created a system to seal the energy radiation.”

Listen! Such a thing was made in less than half a day!

Baimu in the high altitude pouted.

”Mr. Da Wu, Mr. Baimu... and Miss Xijana, please keep the Giant Stone with me for now.” Fladari said without any politeness, ”I plan to transport it to the Carlos Region.”

After a brief pause, Xijana spoke up, she inquired: ”What do you intend to do with it?”

”I will utilize the Giant Stone to make a device that can make good use of its Super Evolution Energy, thereby benefiting all humanity and freeing everyone from suffering and disasters. Miss Xijana, I don’t mind the Meteor People’s supervision.”

Fladari behaved with grand demeanor, as if embodying righteous virtue in his suit.

But to be fair, the initial Fladari indeed had such thoughts and was continually striving for them, only to be twisted beyond recognition after being shocked by human greed and evil, which led to rejection and disgust.

...Love turned into hatred? For some reason, it feels very fitting.

Baimu secretly texted Xijana, requesting her, if willing, to pay attention to the specific use of the Legendary Giant Stone, expressing his distrust of this suddenly emerged Calos Person, finding Fladari very suspicious.

As for why the Hoenn Rayquaza wanted to fight for the Legendary Giant Stone, he would resolve that.

Several seconds later.

Xijana replied with ”Okay,” accompanied by a thumbs-up emoji of Whismur.

Evidently, she also felt that Fladari’s secretive action with Flash Grenades and special devices to snatch away the ”winning” Legendary Giant Stone from Hoenn Rayquaza after defeating Groudon and Kyogre didn’t appear as honorable as he claimed.

There was no way around it.

Xijana’s standpoint inherently had a foot in Hoenn Rayquaza’s side; her not interfering with or even tacitly allowing this action to move to Carlos was already the utmost her other foot, standing with humanity, could attain.

Xijana wasn’t unreasonable; if Fladari could truly benefit humanity, she wasn’t opposing.

After all, it’s a joyous thing to see good deeds.

At the end of the day, she just couldn’t understand why the Rayquaza, which didn’t want the Legendary Giant Stone thousands of years ago, was suddenly interested in it; she specially asked the elders but received no answer.

On Da Wu’s side, Baimu also texted a reminder, but presumably, with Da Wu’s polite and mild-mannered nature, pushing him from ’Lysandre Labs should be wary’ to ’Lysandre Labs must be thoroughly investigated’ requires some convincing evidence.

Of course.

Baimu wasn’t aware that Da Wu, from the very beginning, already harbored some doubt towards Fladari, and upon receiving the reminder, heightened the vigilance level.

Who that wasn’t even hinted at in the original plot that Da Wu was vigilant of Fladari?

At most, it side described later his focus on the Legendary Giant Stone, and when Fladari’s plan was enacted, intervened claiming to be ”tricked by Mr. Fladari”, also showing that despite investigating, Da Wu failed to acquire decisive evidence timely.

But presently, because of Baimu’s unexpected meddling, it’s not hard to imagine this matter undergoing unforeseen changes.
