Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 701: Chapter 477: Who Is the Hall Master? (Part 2)

Baimu frowned slightly, Mega Mawile could fully damage Lunatone even after defeating the defensive light shield, but the leap did indeed affect its power, and that earlier planet wasn’t as harmless to Mega Mawile as it seemed on the surface...

After all.

It’s largely related to Mega Mawile’s inability to fully grasp its power.

To know that when it rampaged, even Lugia’s wind couldn’t restrain it, but now without rampaging, its power fell short?

Baimu didn’t ponder for long and didn’t want to give Xiaofeng and Konan a chance to regain control of the battle rhythm.

”Mawile Electromagnetic Levitation!”

The so-called power starts from the ’ground’, as soon as Mega Mawile used Electromagnetic Levitation to reach the air, it had a foothold in the sky, no longer afraid of the initial burst of energy weakening and exhausting.

Xiaofeng and Konan quickly reacted, simultaneously viewing Mega Mawile as the key to the battle and deploying their strongest countermeasures against it.

”Solrock use Jet Flame!”

”Lunatone use Strong Mental Will!”

As the words fell, Solrock spun forward, spewing out a blazing stream of flames, which under Lunatone’s Strong Mental Will formed a fierce Flame Curtain, encircling Mega Mawile in a large fireball that kept shrinking.

While giving it a heated flame attack, it also kept it firmly controlled within.

The two were no longer the bickering duo during the Gym Battle, having perfected their move collaboration to the utmost, reminiscent of the Gorgeous Competition’s move combos.

But Baimu knew that this thing’s power wasn’t something the moves in the Gorgeous Competition could compare to.

Equivalent to a doubly enhanced Flame Vortex, daring to collide with it leads to defeat.

”Signal Beam attack Lunatone!!”

Whoosh!

Once more, the emerald green beam fired, Lunatone using Strong Mental Will was the crucial point of this combo move, disrupting it would easily break it!

Unexpectedly, a sapphire-colored planet blocked the Signal Beam’s path.

Boom!

The planet shattered halfway through, yet still managed to stop the Signal Beam, being tougher than expected, it steadfastly refused to let the Signal Beam pierce through.

This showed just how severely Mega Mawile’s earlier attack was resisted.

Witnessing Xiaofeng and Konan smiling, Baimu was aware they knew the planet would arrive at this moment.

Even though the presence of Magic Space prevented Solrock and Lunatone from using terrain advantage for maneuvering, their familiarity with the field was enough to use the planets to block a few moves.

Given that.

”Rotating Flame Fang! Porygon II Texture! Strong Mental Will!”

In the midst of the shout, Mega Mawile trapped in the super-strong version Flame Ball emitted flames from its dual jaws behind, transforming into a blazing flame spiral with its high-speed spin, while another blue light enveloped the outer layer of the Flame Curtain, resisting Lunatone’s Strong Mental Will, causing the flames to halt spinning.

On the mental level, the two began to wrestle.

”Come on, Lunatone!”

”Solrock continue using Jet Flame!”

Under Xiaofeng and Konan’s command, the spherical flame cage suspended in mid-air became even more terrifying in momentum.

Porygon II’s eyes shone almost like incandescent lamps, yet its level held it back, even transforming its attributes into Superpower wouldn’t allow its Spiritual Power to completely stop the Flame Curtain’s rotation.

But just slowing down the rotation gave Mega Mawile inside a chance to build momentum.

”Now!”

Boom!

On hearing an explosion, tremendous spiral torque drilled through the spherical flame cage, causing it to explode like fireworks, and the spiraling Mega Mawile charged upward, colliding violently with Solrock under Xiaofeng and Konan’s tense gaze!

Boom!

The flames expanded into orange-red rolling clouds!

Lunatone got blasted away by the explosion’s aftermath, Solrock followed suit, but just at the moment of departure, a massive giant jaw appeared, precisely biting it.

When the flames dispersed, Mega Mawile stood tall, descending with a silver glow like a shining meteor.

”Solrock!”

Xiaofeng yelled anxiously, ”Cosmic Power!”

Konan followed, shouting, ”Lunatone use Strong Mental Will to block it!”

If Magic Space weren’t present, she would certainly choose to let Lunatone first move below Mega Mawile to use Defend for interception, but under Magic Space, Mega Mawile’s speed wouldn’t allow Lunatone to do such complex actions.

Strong Mental Will was the only choice.

But Xiaofeng and Konan seemed to forget a certain Pokémon they didn’t recognize due to Mega Mawile’s overwhelming presence—

Porygon II.

This guy had discreetly positioned itself atop a planet above Lunatone’s head, its round body morphing into a square cannon-like form, with icy blue light frantically gathering within.

By the time Konan and Lunatone realized it, it was too late.

”Frozen Beam!”

Baimu’s shout clearly reached their ears, as swift lightning hit Lunatone, freezing it into an ice-sculpted sphere at visible speed.

When did it get there!? How did it know the planet would rotate to that position!? Konan was full of questions, unaware that Porygon II had quietly experimented with a special Substitute when their attention was on Mega Mawile.

Also, the rotation rules and speed of those planets in the sky had already been deciphered by it within ten seconds.

Do not underestimate a Pokémon designed for the purpose of transforming outer space planets!

Porygon II proudly watched, as the descending Lunatone, with agile eyes full of pride.

At the same time.

Like a silver bullet, Mega Mawile plummeted with Solrock, which lacked much resistance—

Boom——!!!

The ground instantly cracked like a spider web, sending countless stones and gravel flying with deafening blasts all around, their frightening whistles showcasing their extreme speed.

Xiaofeng let a stone fly past his cheek, his face full of dismay.

With such strong destructive power, Solrock couldn’t possibly still ’stand’, he was most aware of Solrock’s limits.

The power disparity was too great.

Xiaofeng and his sister had been Gym Leaders for so long, from naive to mature and confident, they’ve seen at least a thousand challengers, if not more, Baimu was the first to make the battle feel like walking on a tightrope.

——if one side isn’t cared for, they’ll be completely suppressed by overwhelming power.

Who’s really the Gym Leader?

Xiaofeng’s mind couldn’t help flashing this interesting question, and even more interestingly, his sister Konan also had a similar thought, especially when the frozen Lunatone landed not far from Mega Mawile.

The venue was filled with dust, obscuring the situation.

”Break free quickly!”

Konan shouted.

That attracted the attention of Mega Mawile in the pit, shifting its gaze from the Solrock beneath to the Lunatone struggling in the ice ball nearby.

”Finish it off, Enhanced Fist.” Baimu’s voice suddenly sounded.

As the command reached, Mega Mawile’s body abruptly vanished, followed by a loud boom.

It appeared in Lunatone’s original position, embedding Lunatone into the stadium’s audience seat wall outside, with shattered ice and rubble behind it.

It looked extremely visually impactful, enough to make one’s hair stand on end.

Xiaofeng and Konan: ”...”

Rey: ”Cough... Solrock and Lunatone lost the ability to fight, Mawile and... and Porygon II claimed victory, Gym Leader’s side has two Pokémon remaining!”

By rights, during the pause time in a Gym Battle when each Pokémon is down until replacement, the Gym Leader usually critiques the recent battle, either praising the challenger’s skills or pointing out their shortcomings.

But right now.

Neither of them knew how to judge this match where the Gym Leader seemed more like a challenger, perhaps it would take an experienced Gym Leader who has seen more challengers to give an assessment...

The siblings had only been Gym Leaders for less than five years.
