Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 720: Chapter 487: Black Dragon Youth

A Divine Beast out of curiosity, took him from the Hoenn Region to Johto.

Baimu felt quite helpless, as these creatures tend to act a bit imperiously, but it’s not completely incomprehensible, given their lack of normal means of communication and some human-like common sense...

Alright!

Curious, huh!

Don’t blame me for using special means to peek into your little secrets.

He looked at the Alternate-colored Rayquaza mere inches away, brewing his own feelings and situation.

To be fair, since it had only worked on Lugia so far, Baimu was actually uncertain if he could succeed in using the ability this time and could only say he’d try his best.

Remember, the mental communication achieved with Ore Lugia was established from a small sense of sympathy for it, a fondness based on its image in various movies, a desire to save it, and a hope for its return to Ore.

And all these thoughts contained a common point—

No malice or vile personal desires mixed in for Ore Lugia, pure and immaculate.

If he were to try to replicate this, he deemed it necessary to hold the right perspective on Rayquaza, clearing and straightening his own motivations.

Why establish mental communication?

Just as Rayquaza was curious about him, he had the same feelings towards it, wanting to know where it usually lived, how much power it truly had, and what it did in its daily life, and so on...

Then there was admiration.

Admiration for Rayquaza’s strength and charisma, how could gray, black, and gold be such a fitting combination, its performance after super evolution in the movies was captivating.

Finally, goodwill.

He wouldn’t dream of subduing Rayquaza, nor did he wish for such a free Pokémon to be influenced by the environment and have to stay long-term in a small Pokeball, like Steelix, being friends was the best choice.

Baimu wanted to establish a relatively equal friendship with Rayquaza.

『Would you... be willing to become my friend?』

Pop~

Like a bubble bursting.

Strong emotions rippled through the Heart Lake within him, prompting him to raise his hand, something that had never occurred before during communications with Dragapult.

The familiar golden glow appeared in Baimu’s palm, and as he pressed it against Rayquaza’s forehead, it slowly poured into its body, continuously, causing the onlooking Hydreigon and Dragapult to exchange glances.

Brother Dragapult blinked and instinctively began to approach, only to be quickly pulled back by Sister Dragapult, who stuffed her claw into its mouth to forcibly silence it.

The former struggled and whimpered for a while, lowering its paws in frustration, resembling a husky being tethered.

If Hoopa were here, it would likely find this scene quite familiar.

Likewise.

Baimu also found the ”scene” before him quite familiar, full of golden light yet not dazzling Consciousness Space, shedding all external aspects leaving only the pure self.

—It truly is a [Divine Heart]!

A special ability that only works on Divine Beasts, it’s just absurd!

Alice mastered the Dragon’s Heart because she possesses pure love for Dragon-type Pokémon, even able to say ”There are no bad kids among Dragon-types.”

Then doesn’t that mean...

Wow, just how much do I like Divine Beasts? It feels irrational, clearly, there are many non-Divine Beasts Pokémon I like too, is my love for this group at home fake?

How could that be!

Moreover, Baimu’s ability and Alice’s Dragon’s Heart have certain differences; Alice’s deals with communication and understanding. Here, it’s direct mental interaction, you understand my thoughts, I understand yours, mutually beneficial exchange.

That’s why he felt the Divine Heart was quite similar to Transcendence.

With things he couldn’t figure out, Baimu stopped pondering. The urgent task was mental interaction with Rayquaza.

He looked at the towering figure of Rayquaza in the Consciousness Space, surrounded by a green aura, ethereal like a flowing energy.

”Come on.”

”Hear my thoughts, and speak yours.”

The words were not spoken aloud, but surfaced in Baimu’s mind.

His ”hand” once again reached Rayquaza’s ”forehead,” completing the mental connection between them, with each other’s intentions and thoughts constantly conveyed to one another at a rate far exceeding that of verbal communication.

The two ”gazed” at each other, emotions too complex to be adequately expressed in words flowed, originating from the other and ultimately settling in each of their hearts.

During this exchange.

Baimu learned the reason why the Alternate-colored Rayquaza responded to his summoning was something not even it knew.

It was simply following a faintly familiar yet quite unfamiliar wave and happened to arrive near the Hoenn Region, just as it ”heard” his ”voice.”

Indeed, his prayer, through the Key Stone, directly reached the heavens and transmitted to the Alternate-colored Rayquaza’s ears, causing it to approach uncontrollably.

The Alternate-colored Rayquaza also remembered him as the peculiar human it had briefly glimpsed near Carlos, driven by intense curiosity to sneak Baimu away.

It had to sneaky him away.

This guy knew well enough that the skies of Hoenn already had an owner, and approaching recklessly would easily offend the other party.

Thus, it flew oversea with Baimu all the way to Johto’s Buried Tower, a place it had visited several times long ago, which was hidden and devoid of strange scents, perfectly suited to figure out the reason and satisfy its curiosity.

This led events to develop to the current situation.

This creature bore no malice, at most its actions were considered offensive to human standards—

like abduction and such.

On the other hand, Baimu also discovered that the Alternate-colored Rayquaza, despite its fierce appearance, was actually like a naive child, silently observing everything it found interesting, unlike Brother Dragapult’s covert observation born from emotional withdrawal, it belonged to the kind that would definitely participate in anything it found intriguing if given the chance.
