System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”The blood was transfused, and the blood pressure rose slightly, not so urgent anymore.” Hu Yaya finally sat down but didn’t dare to take out her phone.

Zhang Zhong didn’t pay attention to this chatterbox; once the patient’s condition was temporarily stabilized, the super-emergency surgery turned into a sub-emergency, extending the rescue window: ”Director Song, do you know anything about Lu Cheng?”

Song Daoneng nodded repeatedly: ”Lu Cheng, a person I can’t quite understand, has a somewhat complex character.”

Zhang Zhong’s gaze flickered, smiling: ”Brother Song, even you find someone complex?”

The General Surgery department is a big family; Zhang Zhong from Gastrointestinal Surgery is a few years younger than Song Daoneng, they often meet while on duty and have known each other for many years.

”Indeed, quite complex. If you say he’s an ordinary junior attending, hell, even professors from Xiangya Second Hospital have invited him for surgery.”

”And if you say he’s some hidden bigwig, he’s usually very proper and calm, without the aura of a hidden bigwig.”

”From what I know, his personal ability is very strong.”

Zhang Zhong asked, ”Brother Song, how strong can personal ability be? Surely not exaggerated like in novels and TV dramas?”

Song Daoneng replied: ”It’s not that exaggerated.”

”But stronger than many people I’ve seen.”

”Previously, that surgery in our department was actually done by Lu Cheng.”

Zhang Zhong was stunned for a while after hearing this, then didn’t ask any more, just changed the subject: ”Later, let’s ask the Urology department how they judge left renal artery hemorrhage from the CT.”

”I just went to check, didn’t see any hematoma.”

The circulating nurse chimed in: ”Just now, when Dr. Lu Cheng checked the CT, he mentioned delayed rupture bleeding; his voice was very soft...”

”Huh?” Zhang Zhong and Song Daoneng both gave questioning looks.

The circulating nurse was middle-aged, over thirty, quite surprised at the moment: ”Huh? Is this difficult?”

Song Daoneng and Zhang Zhong were left silent by the circulating nurse’s comment.

Is it difficult?

The question wasn’t friendly; both agreed not to discuss it with this outsider.

”Why aren’t you talking?” the circulating nurse asked again.

Zhang Zhong ignored her, but said with a slightly astonished tone: ”Brother Song, I think you might be mistaken; he is indeed a hidden bigwig.”

”Just rather low-key.”

Song Daoneng remained silent, just then, the on-duty doctor from the Urology department arrived at the operating room.

After Song Daoneng conveyed the circulating nurse’s words, the Urology doctor rushed to the computer, examined for a while, then began questioning his life, calling higher-level doctors.

He really didn’t understand why the patient had left renal artery hemorrhage.

If this kind of hemorrhage was identifiable on the CT, then maybe many past emergency patients died due to his misdiagnosis or accelerated death, merely because his skills were lacking, unable to detect.

This somewhat affected his medical ethos...

CT Film Reading Skill (Specialized 20/20)...

Lu Cheng exited the operating room and entered the emergency room to complete the rescue records, glancing intentionally or unintentionally at this skill item.

It lay there without any fluctuations, a whole level below expert.

But when truly utilized, Lu Cheng felt that just saying specialized couldn’t fully describe its ’practicality’!

Perhaps, he had underestimated the specialization level skill proficiency.

Physical Examination Skill was the same, Film Reading Skill also in this way.

When Lu Cheng reached the computer, he found that the rescue records for a patient named ”Wang Hua” had been completed, except for the specific and detailed surgical hemostatic operations.

Lu Cheng immediately realized Director Long Chunhua from Internal Medicine was helping: ”Director Long, thank you.”

Long Chunhua was currently managing airways for patients in two other emergency rooms, unable to respond to Lu Cheng: ”You complete it first, the patient’s family hasn’t been contacted yet.”

”We can only wait for the functional departments to continue trying to reach them. The patient’s ID is from another province.”

Lu Cheng continued browsing the rescue records, then addressed omissions, detailing the surgical procedures and diagnoses observed during exploration.

After writing, Lu Cheng printed it out, signing his name.

After completing these, Lu Cheng promptly called the overall duty, reporting the operations he performed and the patient’s current condition.

The overall duty doesn’t manage specific surgical techniques execution, only asked: ”How is the patient’s condition now?”

Lu Cheng replied: ”Teacher, when I left the operating room, the patient’s vital signs were stable and hemostasis effective. Subsequent surgery will be led by Director Song Daoneng, Deputy Chief Physician Zhang Zhong from General Surgery, and teachers from the Urology department.”

”In emergency operating room 3.”

”Alright!~ I understand, thank you for your hard work, Dr. Lu.”

The overall duty person pushed: ”This patient’s basic information is complex, the patient’s family can’t be reached now, we can only try contacting the village committee where they are from. I have other things, talk later.”

Lu Cheng said: ”Okay.”

Lu Cheng initiative terminated the call.

After finishing these, Lu Cheng once again opened the patient’s CT imaging data, reviewed it thoroughly several times, confirming no other issues before starting to write his duty log based on the debridement operation records from today.

Nine debridements, one laparotomy hemostasis in the emergency room, plus surgeries in the emergency operating room, are enough for Lu Cheng to be busy writing for a while.
