System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Generally speaking, if the reduction fails four to five times, surgery should be considered. Otherwise, where else can you go for a solution?”

”Do you want to transfer to a hospital in the province? That’s also an option.”

”Aren’t there two more attempts left?” Lin Daomeng said.

Han Pingxiao furrowed his brow: ”It’s pointless. I told you from the start, this dislocation is rare and it’s difficult to reduce it.”

”If it could be reduced, we would have done it right away. Why would we want to trouble you?”

”You yourself are suffering.”

The woman next to Lin Daomeng said, ”Doctor, actually, it’s like this. My husband got injured by himself, and we didn’t have accident insurance. Our kid was sick a few months ago and we spent a lot of money. We really don’t have much money now.”

”My husband wants to save some money!”

Lin Daomeng lowered his head, looking somewhat desolate.

Saving money was indeed a direct reason.

The person from the medical office looked at Han Pingxiao: ”Dr. Han, you see, the patient and his family do have personal reasons. Although they concealed their medical history, they’ve admitted it now.”

”They just want to solve the problem.”

Han Pingxiao scratched his head and said, ”Leaders from the medical office, aren’t you making it difficult for me? We’ve already tried reducing it three times. Even if we try two more times, I personally think the chances of success are not great.”

”If for economic reasons this leads to soft tissue damage and subsequently rotator cuff damage, the surgery needed later would cost even more.”

”It wouldn’t be worth it!”

”It would have been better to handle it properly from the start.”

Lin Daomeng said, ”Doctor, there’s no way. If the pain wasn’t unbearable, I wouldn’t have come here.”

”We really have no money recently.”

”At the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, they didn’t manage to reduce it, and I didn’t pay them. I don’t want to be a rogue.”

”But here, I’ve already paid.”

”Let’s give it another try then,” Han Pingxiao said reluctantly.

”But I have to tell you, you’ve already failed three reduction attempts. Trying again might worsen the injury, and the chances of success aren’t high.”

”I’ll have to find someone to assist me.”

”Leaders, you can be my witnesses, the patient insists on continuing with manual reduction. I’ve already provided them with treatment advice and alternatives.”

After Han Pingxiao finished speaking, both the patient and the family nodded.

Lu Cheng and Deng Duanniu both offered to help. Considering that Lu Cheng was previously a trauma surgeon with considerable strength, Han Pingxiao chose Lu Cheng as his assistant.

Shortly after Han Pingxiao and Lu Cheng took Lin Daomeng into the operating room, Lu Cheng came out with Lin Daomeng.

But Han Pingxiao did not come out.

Lu Cheng instructed Lin Daomeng, ”In your case, you need to go for an X-ray review first to completely confirm the reduction was successful before leaving.”

”Although the pain is gone and you can move, there’s a high probability that it has been reduced, but we have insured review measures that must be carried out. This expense cannot be spared.”

Lin Daomeng’s eyes were red as he looked at Lu Cheng: ”Thank you, Dr. Lu, thank you, I really had no choice.”

”I’m very grateful you saved me.” Lin Daomeng’s voice was a bit hoarse.

Upon hearing this, Lin Daomeng’s wife quickly asked, ”Was the reduction successful?”

Lin Daomeng nodded, ”Yeah, let’s go for the review first and follow Dr. Lu’s advice.”

”You should thank Dr. Han. I was just assisting,” Lu Cheng replied.

The two didn’t argue and turned to the clinic to ask the doctors in the surgical clinic to help order a follow-up X-ray for the shoulder joint.

Outside the operating room, the group was silent.

Because the lead operator, Han Pingxiao, hadn’t come out yet…

Yet Lu Cheng had already brought the patient out…
