Chapter 336: Chapter 185: Prerequisites for Promotion to 【Great Knight (Transcendent)】 (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_3

…

When Rein emerged from the sea, dragging the enormous corpse of the plesiosaur, Bask was utterly stunned.

“Rein, you… you succeeded so soon?”

“Or is this…” Bask turned his head to look at Master Ganther.

Master Ganther understood Bask’s meaning; Bask was asking if it was he who had helped Rein kill the near-shore plesiosaur.

Master Ganther shook his head and said, “It was Rein who killed it alone! Bask, don’t just stand there, the blood of the plesiosaur will attract many other ferocious sea beasts, hurry back!”

“Alright! Master!”

Although Bask agreed outright, his expression still betrayed his surprise as he bound the corpse of the plesiosaur to the rear side of the boat and began to row rapidly.

Yet as he rowed, Bask’s gaze kept alternating between the huge plesiosaur corpse bobbing in the water and the calm-faced Rein on the boat, and his heart was filled with inexplicable shock!

By the time the three reached the shore of the island, Rein noticed that a group of seven or eight young men, led by the crew-cut Frode, were waiting at the seaside.

Clearly, they had received the news and were waiting for the outcome.

Just as a young man named Arturo was about to speak up, suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the massive body floating behind the boat and involuntarily blurted out, “Is this… is this a success?”

Before Rein could answer, Bask, who had just jumped ashore, slightly raised his chin with pride and said, “That’s right! Rein succeeded!”

“Look, there lies the corpse of the plesiosaur, everyone help out and lift it up first!”

Instantly, the gaze of all the young people present focused on Rein, with varying expressions of shock and disbelief…

When everyone saw the cause of death of the huge near-shore plesiosaur’s corpse after it was lifted onto the shore, their expressions grew even more astonished as their eyes went back and forth between Rein and the plesiosaur.

They seemed shocked as to why there was not a single wound on Rein’s body, how had he killed such a large ferocious sea beast unscathed?

What kind of strength was this?

That was just too frightening!

Half an hour later, Rein packed away the wooden box containing the enormous heart of the near-shore plesiosaur and placed it on the brown horse.

This was something that Master Ganther had helped him process and given to him as a gift.

As for the other parts of the near-shore plesiosaur, such as scales, outer skin, and meat, Rein left them as a token of gratitude.

“Master, I am now ready to leave; thank you for your guidance during this time,” Rein said to Master Ganther, bowing respectfully.

Although Rein and Master Ganther’s acquaintance had started with an introduction letter from Cleya, by now, it was hard to say if Rein weighed more in Master Ganther’s heart than Cleya did.

Master Ganther smiled reassuringly and said, “Go back, your road ahead is still long, and perhaps, before long, I will be hearing about your deeds.”

The other young men, including Frode and Doug, also took turns bidding farewell to Rein.

Rein smiled and nodded his head in response!

Although he hadn’t communicated much with the others during his nearly twenty days here, so their relationships couldn’t be said to be good or bad, with Master Ganther as a mutual connection, perhaps, when they met outside, he should lend them a hand.

Meanwhile, Bask enthusiastically helped Rein place his luggage onto the brown horse, saying, “Rein, I’ll walk you to the main road.”

Rein nodded his head, and then he turned around once more and said to Master Ganther and the others, “Master, everyone, I hope we can meet again!”

…

The crowd watched as Rein’s figure gradually disappeared down the path, their faces filled with emotion.

“Master Ganther, Rein must be the fastest of all the trainees since your retirement, right?” The crew-cut youth Frode asked curiously all of a sudden.

Master Ganther, with a smile, did not directly answer Frode’s question but instead encouraged, “There are far more geniuses in this world than you can imagine, keep pushing yourselves!”

…

Walking along the path, Rein did not immediately mount his horse but led the black horse forward, with Bask by his side, helping him lead the brown horse that was carrying the luggage.

“By the way, Rein, on your way back, it’s best to stick to the main roads and avoid the paths,” Bask said, seemingly recalling something, his expression turning serious.

“Recently, the area around Rosby County has been unsafe, with several incidents of nobles’ carriages or lone knights being attacked and killed by bands of bandits,” he added.

“Bandits?” Rein echoed back.

“Yes, according to my father’s information, it seems that these bands of bandits are backed by Zaral’s rebels. So, Rein, be careful on your journey; don’t take them lightly as mere bandits,” Bask warned.

“Thank you! Bask, I’ll be careful,” Rein graciously thanked the youth for his friendly warning.

On the other hand, Rein’s mind stirred at the mention.

Zaral’s rebels, eh?

He immediately thought of the time he had rescued Hass, where those people seemed to be bandits from the area on the surface.

He also recalled the battle at the rebel stronghold in Meister County.

The rebels not only had some hidden connections with several bandit groups in the surrounding area, but the rebels themselves often posed as bandit groups, engaging in plundering.

It seemed the activity of this so-called rebel group had been increasing lately.
