Chapter 308 – 178: Madam, I’m Off to Forge in Earnest (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_3

“Brother, does that mean someone can play with me now?” Bo He was the first to break the silence, sounding slightly happy.

“Of course,” Rein nodded.

…..

The next morning, after loading the valuables onto the Crowley family’s carriage, Rein and his family set off for the County Town.

Including the new house in Flashgold Town where they had lived for just a month, Rein entrusted the sale of the rest of the items to the Night Watchman’s captain, the short Matteo.

It wasn’t long before Rein and his family quickly arrived at the doorstep of their new mansion.

As Mother Emma stepped down from the carriage, she saw two neat rows of people standing on either side of the mansion’s gate: one row of uniformly dressed male and female servants and one row of fully armed guards. She was momentarily startled.

Upon seeing Rein and his family step down from the carriage, the servants and guards immediately called out respectfully:

“Lord Baron Rein, good day!”

“Madam, Miss, good day!”

The young Bo He clutched closely at her brother Rein’s coat, looking quite nervous.

But soon, she peeped out from behind Rein, curiously looking around at the surroundings and the group of strangers calling her ’Miss.’

At that moment, old Rein’s and Emma’s heads were still buzzing.

They had previously imagined this scene, but the protagonist was their son—Rein. They had dreamt that, after their son had accomplished something, he would become a venerable Knight and enjoy the admiration of the public.

But what they hadn’t expected was that one day, they too would be treated with such respect.

Rein then waved his hand at the male servants and said, “Come here, take down the things, and everyone else, attend to your responsibilities.”

“At your command, Lord Baron!”

At once, the two rows of people sprang into action; the guards continued their dutiful posts while three male servants came to the back of the carriage to help with the luggage.

The female servants were diligently leading the way.

“Rein, this place is so big,” mother Emma said as she walked, curiously looking around. Discover exclusive content at empire

This new mansion was at least ten streets bigger than their new house in Flashgold Town.

She noticed that, although she had never seen such decorations and styles before, they exuded a low-key luxury; she liked everything about it.

Suddenly, a radiant beautiful woman, accompanied by a lovely noble young lady, emerged from the mansion; it was none other than Baroness Jennifer Crowley and Jenny.

“Father, mother, this is Baroness Crowley Jennifer, and I believe you have already met Miss Jenny,” Rein introduced with a smile.

Upon hearing that this lady was the esteemed ’Baroness,’ old Rein and mother Emma were slightly overwhelmed, not immediately sure how to address Jennifer, the noblewoman.

However, Jennifer, who was quite adept at reading social cues, naturally wouldn’t let this awkward situation persist.

She came forward with a beaming smile, pulling Emma’s hand in a down-to-earth manner, and said, “Sister Emma, just call me Jennifer. I’m also currently managing the Baron’s mansion.”

“So, if there’s anything you need, feel free to tell me. How about I give you a tour of the new mansion now?”

The kind expression and warm words from the beautiful woman made Emma relax all at once.

However, both she and old Rein immediately turned to look at Rein, their eyes full of inquiry as if to ask, ’Can this noble and beautiful Baroness actually be our housekeeper?’

Rein nodded at them and said with a smile, “Father, mother, let Miss Jenny show you around. I have something to discuss with Baroness Crowley.”

This remark made the beautiful woman blush slightly.

She thought Rein wanted to… with her…

But the next second, after hearing what Rein had actually said, she realized she had misunderstood.

“Madam, I need to use the Crowley family’s blacksmith shop. It needs to be soon… and I might also need some cooperation from the blacksmith shop,” Rein spoke to the beautiful woman.

“Of course, Baron Rein, shall I take you there now?” the beautiful woman said respectfully and formally, as others were present.

Rein naturally noticed the alluring look in the beautiful woman’s eyes and couldn’t help but smile wryly, thinking to himself, Madam, I’m here to forge in a professional way, not to ’forge’ that…

Of course, he couldn’t say that so directly.

Rein then said, “A blacksmith shop is not where a noble lady should be, but you could take me there first and introduce me to the person in charge. Perhaps, I might also need their help with something minor.”

“After that, you can head back first; there’s a lot going on here at the new mansion, and my parents might need your company.”

….

An hour later.

At the Crowley family blacksmith shop, inside a separate smelting room.

After a brief introduction, Jennifer had already gone back earlier, while Rein had the blacksmith shop prepare a vacant room, clay molds, and a large amount of iron ingots for him.

Rein planned to start making the Cavalry breastplate.

The reason he chose the large and heavy breastplate, rather than other smaller knight armor pieces such as wrist guards, was that the breastplate alone didn’t require much hammering.

In other words, if Rein’s witchcraft “Scorching Touch” could successfully cooperate with forging the breastplate, then he would be able to quickly produce a Cavalry breastplate and thus gain substantial Professional Experience Points.
