Chapter 335: Chapter 185: Prerequisites for Promotion to 【Great Knight (Transcendent)】 (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_2

“Rein, you have surprised me again. How about it, are you interested in staying to pursue the path of the Sword Saint?” Master Ganther did not directly answer Rein’s question, but instead invited him with a smile.

Sword Saint?

Rein’s eyes suddenly widened as he looked at the other person.

So it really is the Sword Saint!

Turns out, Master Ganther was semi-retired at the Golden Coast to pursue the path of the Sword Saint.

However…

Master… this path is incompatible with that of a Wizard! Rein cried in his heart, although he liked the high attack power of the Sword Saint’s path, his current situation only allowed him to refuse.

“Master, thank you for your appreciation, but for now, I wish to travel first. Perhaps one day, when I can calm my heart, I will come back to the Golden Coast and seek your guidance.” Rein bowed deeply and said earnestly.

“Good! Young people should indeed go out and see more! Pursuing swordsmanship also requires an undistracted mind.” Hearing what Rein had said, Master Ganther thought for a moment, nodded his head, and seemed to agree.

Master Ganther did not persuade Rein to stay any longer, but turned to explain the sword strike Rein had just made:

“That sword strike of yours had actually combined your belief in the sword with the primal force. In simple terms, this is known as sword glow, a capability that only swordmasters can wield.”

“Essentially, it was your belief in the sword infused within the primal force. In that instant, ordinary primal force transformed into sword primal force, thus possessing a destructive power stronger than ordinary primal force.”

“I see, thank you, Master, for clarifying!” Rein bowed slightly in gratitude.

Sword primal force, huh?

Sure enough, just as he had speculated, the path of the swordsman, greatsword master, and Sword Saint is indeed closely linked to the sword, ultimately aiming perhaps to pursue the sword’s ultimate destructive power!

“By the way, Master Ganther, are we heading back now?”

“Hold on, this adult nearshore plesiosaur is a treasure trove. Being a large, ferocious marine beast, one could say it is full of treasures.” Master Ganther said with a smile.

“Especially its heart, which can now be used to make ‘Beast Essence,’ a Magic Potion essential for a Knight’s promotion to Great Knight!”

Huh, advancing to Great Knight?

Rein’s eyes suddenly lit up. Originally, after this trip, he was going to seek information about the Knight’s further advancement processes. He had thought of asking Hamilton, but later felt his progress was too shocking and decided to delay it for a while.

Unexpectedly, he had heard relevant information from Master Ganther.

Noticing Rein’s astonished look, Master Ganther thought that Rein was startled by the word ‘beast’ and explained with a smile: “Haha, why, do you think the plesiosaur doesn’t deserve to be called a beast?”

“Actually, ‘beast’ is just our term for ferocious wild animals longer than ten meters.”

“Its heart contains a special substance that, when refined by a Pharmacist into ‘Beast Essence,’ can complement the huge consumption required for a Knight’s promotion to Great Knight.”

Beast Essence?

Listening to this, it seems somewhat similar conceptually to the advancement Magic Potions used by ordinary people stepping into the Knight (Transcendent) stage.

Just wondering if it has various subdivisions and specifics, like the advancement Magic Potions, Rein thought to himself.

Just as Rein was about to continue his inquiries with Master Ganther, suddenly, the system notification resurfaced:

[Ding! Host has listened to Transcendent secrets, triggering advancement profession—Great Knight (Transcendent)!]

[Advancing to Great Knight (Transcendent) prerequisites are: 1. Physical limit value reaching 100%; 2. Any breathing method lv9 or above; 3. Strength 20 points or more, agility 20 points or more, constitution 20 points or more; 4. Any close combat Transcendent Combat Skill lv9 or higher; 5. High-grade Magic Potion ‘Beast Essence’…. Current conditions do not meet! Advancement to Great Knight (Transcendent) failed!]

Huh!

Reading the system notification that popped up suddenly several times, Rein was excited!

He hadn’t expected that after just missing the occupation change to ‘swordsman,’ he would receive promotion information for stepping into Great Knight (Transcendent) after listening to Master Ganther’s secrets about Beast Essence and primal force!

It felt truly like ‘when one door closes, another opens’!

“Looking at the conditions, Great Knight (Transcendent) and Knight (Transcendent) can be said to be of the same lineage, with many similar prerequisities.”

“Although Great Knight seems a bit weaker in battle power compared to professions like swordsman and greatsword master with extreme attack power, its path does not conflict with that of a Wizard. Considering dual-classing is the primary thing to consider.”

Moreover, the conditions for advancing to Great Knight, he was close to, or had already met.

For example, condition one ‘physical limit value reaching 100%’, Rein checked the Knight (Transcendent) panel, and the limit value had reached 95%. This was due to the consecutive enhancements of Bear King breathing technique earlier which had incrementally added five attribute points.

And at the moment, there were still three remaining attribute points on the panel; there was no need to waste Skill Points, as it was merely a matter of when he would add the points to reach the 100% limit value.

Also, condition two ‘any breathing method lv9’, he had already achieved. Indeed, investing in breathing techniques was not in vain!

As for condition three…

Just as Rein was drifting into thought, Master Ganther spoke up: “Let’s go, Rein, we need to quickly handle the plesiosaur’s heart while it’s fresh.”

“Yes, Master!” Rein immediately responded.
