Chapter 321: Chapter 181: Comprehension (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

This forced Rein to focus his attention on the swimming patterns of the nearshore frenzy fish, desperately seeking their weaknesses or patterns.

But such patterns didn’t seem easy to grasp. Rein decided to ‘cheat’ a little by studying the anatomy of the frenzy fish, which might give him some insights.

So…

“Huge Strength!”

Thirty percent “Strength Burst!”

Rein’s muscles swelled as he aimed a top-to-bottom Furious Slash at the head of the oncoming frenzy fish!

“Bang!”

Contrary to Rein’s expectations, the frenzy fish’s head didn’t split into two but instead clamped onto the greatsword, still struggling fiercely.

Huh?

Such a hard head?

Its vitality was also extraordinarily tenacious!

Thinking back to the nickname ‘Iron Head Fish’ that Bask had mentioned, Rein seemed to understand something.

After killing a frenzy fish with the cheat-like ‘Strength Burst’, Rein carried it ashore.

“Rein, you… succeeded so quickly?” Bask looked at Rein with a face full of shock, pointing at the frenzy fish in Rein’s hand.

What was more incredulous to Bask was that the fish’s head, the hardest part of its body, had actually been split open.

This is just…

Bask didn’t know what to say for a moment.

While Bask curiously investigated, Rein swiftly dissected the frenzy fish.

First were its scales, which were extremely tough; each scale was semi-circular, fitting snugly onto the surface of the fish body, and then, layers upon layers of scales formed an armor-like scale mail as if forged from metal plates.

This was genuine Scale Armor!

This feature somewhat resembled the plecostomus that Rein had seen in his previous life, with a similarly structured scale covering.

Additionally, beneath the outer skin and over much of the fish’s body, Rein found a layer of white exoskeleton, which further enhanced its defensive power, with the bone density and thickness of the head area being particularly exaggerated.

This was already a dual-layer defense!

Rein estimated that if such a fish were to die on the shore, even an ordinary person with a small knife might not be able to dissect its corpse.

Therefore, when it was alive and swiftly swimming in the sea, one could imagine the difficulty of killing it.

Of course, on the other hand, the difficulty stemmed from the training task set by Master Ganther—’to kill it with a sword in the water’, rather than utilizing other methods.

Otherwise, with human ingenuity, even an average person would have ways to kill a frenzy fish, such as baiting or poisoning, and so on.

After dissecting the frenzy fish, Rein gazed thoughtfully into the distance at the vast ocean.

He had just realized that using the ‘Triple Layers’ stance in the water didn’t boost his combat ability nearly as much as on land.

The reason was simple: water resistance is hundreds of times that of air, and the resistance in seawater is even higher.

If Rein remembered correctly, the resistance of seawater seemed to be over 800 times that of air.

This made Rein’s overwhelming Strength dissolve softly against the seawater, reducing the power of his strike upon the frenzy fish significantly.

For a simple comparison, if the ‘Triple Layers’ provided a 100% increase to Rein’s combat ability on land, then in the sea, it probably only boosted it by about 20%.

As for the solution?

Rein quickly recalled what Master Ganther had said before he left—’You can take some time to practice the swordsmanship you were originally good at’.

At the same time, he also remembered the scene of several young people continually practicing their swordsmanship on the shore.

Clearly, the key to solving the problem lay here.

Thus, facing the sea, Rein began to swing his greatsword on the rocky shore, practicing the Giant Bear Sword Technique!

Gradually, the completely different feelings of wielding a sword in the water and on land began to intertwine…

Suddenly, a flash of insight crossed Rein’s mind, and enlightenment burst forth!

At that moment, the system prompt also sounded…
