Chapter 313 – 179: A Bold Idea (Two-in-One Big Chapter)_4

“He asked haphazardly, “Where are you from?”

“From Meister County.”

“That’s quite close, just the neighboring county, ” the young man nodded.

“How did you get to know Master Ganther?” the young man continued.

At this question, Rein glanced at him but did not answer.

The young man did not mind and continued, “Do you know that Master Ganther’s training is famously impersonal?”

“If you do not meet his training requirements, even if you’re introduced by a great noble, your training will end.”

“See that man there?” The other person pursed his lips.

Following his direction, Rein saw a young nobleman in hunting attire, his face streaked with dejection as he packed his belongings onto a chestnut horse, seemingly preparing to leave.

“Hmm, how long has he been here?” Rein asked for the first time.

Clearly, by what the young man had said, this noble scion must have failed to meet Master Ganther’s training demands, hence he was choosing to leave in disappointment.

“Seven days, ” the young man replied. Read exclusive content at empire

“But that’s quite good actually, there are others who lasted only three days; seven is somewhat decent, ” the young man glanced at Rein, his words apparently trying to gauge Rein’s real thoughts from his expression.

Because the newcomer seemed a bit unusual to him, too composed, giving him the feeling of standing against a thick, enduring reef by the shoreline.

However, he was quickly disappointed.

Because Rein’s expression remained undisturbed, showing no hint of his emotions.

Soon, the two walked along a path to the other end of the island.

There they saw a very bulky, tall elder directing several robust young men.

Upon seeing Rein’s arrival, the tall elder turned and walked over.

The elder had a head of gold hair mixed with traces of white, casually hanging at his back, his facial features sharp as if chiseled by fierce sea winds, his beard short and box-shaped, broad shoulders and a solid chest, resembling a majestic mountain harboring breathtaking strength.

The elder’s eyes, sharp as a tiger’s, vivid with spirit, scrutinized Rein up and down.

“Master Ganther, hello, my name is Rein, from Meister County, here is my letter of introduction, ” Rein bowed slightly, respectfully handing over the letter Cleya had given him.

“Oh, introduced by Cleya, is it?” The elder’s tiger eyes looked at Rein somewhat surprised, taking the letter.

After quickly reading the letter, the elder scrutinised Rein again, his face showing surprise, and said,

“The letter mentions that your knight talent may even surpass hers, ” Master Ganther paused.

The seven or eight young men around momentarily moved their ears, several of them waving their longswords while slightly turning their heads to sneak a peek at Rein.

They seemed to be curious to see what this supposedly talented ’newcomer’ looked like.

But soon, they resumed their prior activities, seemingly a bit ’disappointed’ in Rein, as he appeared quite unremarkable at first glance.

“However, here, I don’t look at talent, only results. If you can meet the daily training requirements, you can stay.”

Master Ganther said in a deep voice.

“I understand, Master Ganther.”

Master Ganther nodded and said,

“Good, Bask, take the newcomer and help him settle his luggage.”

“Yes, Master Ganther, ” the young man who had received Rein quickly replied.

“Come see me in half an hour to start the first training task, ” Ganther then turned to Rein.

Rein paused slightly, nodded, and said, “Yes, Master.”
