Chapter 309 – 178: Madam, I’m Going to Forge Iron Seriously (Two-in-One Big Chapter)_4

In the blacksmith’s furnace, there were already seven or eight iron ingots burned red-hot.

Meanwhile, Rein raised both hands, holding them suspended about thirty to forty centimeters above the furnace.

Soon after, he began to softly chant a spell.

Just over two seconds later, a crimson glow emerged in front of Rein’s palms.

Since Rein’s spiritual power had already reached 25 points, the power of the witchcraft ’Scorching Touch’ was further enhanced.

Rein could clearly feel the ambient fire energy particles rapidly gathering in front of his palms.

Moreover, he was certain that he no longer needed the furnace’s heat assistance and could rely solely on the witchcraft ’Scorching Touch’ to melt ordinary iron ingots with a melting point around 1500°.

As Rein continued to output spiritual power, the already blazing furnace flames shot up suddenly, and the temperature quickly rose!

The seven or eight iron ingots began to visibly brighten, soften, and then slowly melt like candles.

Several minutes later, Rein opened a small gate and poured the molten iron from the furnace into a clay mold.

After cooling, Rein picked up the blacksmith hammer and began to forge, smoothing some of the rough edges, and finally joined the front and back iron plates together, forming a complete ’muscle-type breastplate’.

At this moment, a system notification appeared:

[You have conducted the forging work of the Cavalry breastplate, insight enhanced!]

[You have learned a new skill—Armor Casting Technique]

[Your skill Armor Casting Technique has improved, Experience +33]

[You focused on Cavalry breastplate forging, Blacksmith Professional Experience Points +32]

…

Hisss!

These Experience Points! This efficiency!

The application of witchcraft in forging is terrifyingly effective!

Critically, it can be further accelerated.

Rein had already thought of a method.

After estimating the spiritual power consumed by the witchcraft Scorching Touch, he quickly had the staff in the blacksmith shop help make seven or eight identical clay molds.

Rein repeatedly used the witchcraft ’Scorching Touch’, continuously melting and pouring into the eight pairs of clay molds, and after cooling, he performed the hammering and joining work.

At this time, the system notifications nearly spammed up:

[Your skill Armor Casting Technique has improved, Experience +33]

[You focused on Cavalry breastplate forging, Blacksmith Professional Experience Points +32]

[Your skill Armor Casting Technique has improved, Experience +30]

[You focused on Cavalry breastplate forging, Blacksmith Professional Experience Points +31]

…

After returning home for lunch with Jennifer, Jenny, and his family at noon, Rein plunged back into the blacksmith shop!

Finally, as the bright moonlight shone into the room, a wonderful system notification appeared:

[Congratulations, your Blacksmith Profession Level has increased!]

As his Blacksmith Profession Level advanced to lv5, Rein once again gained an attribute point and a skill point.

As a result, the remaining attribute points on his system panel reached 2, and the remaining skill points reached 6, the highest in history.

After some thought, Rein forged another Cavalry breastplate.

This time, he gained only 5 points of Blacksmith Profession Level experience, clearly, after reaching lv5, the Professional Experience Points gained from making Cavalry breastplates had greatly decreased.

Thus, there was nothing to hesitate about, Rein decided to advance his profession immediately!

[Prerequisites for advancing from Blacksmith to Armor Caster are: one, Blacksmith lv5 or higher; two, Strength 12 points or more, Constitution 12 points or more; three, independently forge any ten qualified plate armor components! Four, knowledge related to Armor Casting Technique….Current conditions met! Would you like to advance to Armor Caster?]

[Note: After advancing to Armor Caster, the original Blacksmith panel will merge into the new Armor Caster profession panel, original Blacksmith core skills retained.]

If core skills could be retained, then there was even less of an issue.

After reading it over once more, Rein unhesitatingly chose yes!

[Ding! Advancement to Armor Caster successful! Strength +2, Constitution +2! Gain Armor Caster core skill: Armor Specialization lv1.]

Oh! There’s a new core skill!

Rein’s face brightened immediately.

Because the appearance of each core skill almost always brought him an instant significant enhancement in strength.

Just wondering if this time, it would still be the same.
