Chapter 326: Chapter 183: Faith Trial (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)

[Ding! It has been detected that the host’s Inner Breathing Technique has reached the minimum level required to fuse and enhance the Giant Bear Breathing Technique. Current conditions are met, fusion into a new breathing technique is possible. Would you like to proceed with the fusion? Yes/No]

[Note: After fusion into a new breathing technique, it will replace the original Giant Bear Breathing Technique and the Inner Breathing Technique.]

Rein sharply noticed the word “enhance,” so he didn’t hesitate at all, silently affirming “Yes” in his mind!

The next second!

Two streams of warm energy, one moving from the outside in, and the other from the inside out, merged together…

Although he had anticipated this outcome, when Rein truly felt this moment, he was exceedingly excited!

This must be his second major gain from coming to train with Master Ganther, aside from unlocking the melee combat skill effect “Precision.”

Although, he still didn’t know how much improvement the fusion of the breathing techniques would bring him.

[Ding! Fusion commencing… Continuing fusion…]

Clearly, the system seemed to have accelerated this fusion process.

Otherwise, according to Rein’s estimation, this fusion process alone could have taken days.

But now, it was completed in just a few minutes.

[Ding! Fusion and modification of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique and the Inner Breathing Technique successful, please name the new breathing technique.]

Naming, huh?

Rein was momentarily stunned!

This was indeed a bit of a headache; he was notoriously bad at naming.

Rein felt the new breathing technique; it was powerful and seamless, integrating the internal and external into one, but it was clearly based on the Giant Bear Breathing Technique, upgraded by the Inner Breathing Technique into a new breathing technique that considered both internal and external breathing.

This adaptation and improvement seemed to be adaptive adjustments made after combining Rein’s current circumstances.

It turned the originally general-purpose Giant Bear Breathing Technique into a more specialized breathing technique.

If put in proportion, it could be said that about sixty to seventy percent of the new breathing technique was still the original Giant Bear Breathing Technique, but the rest was no longer the same.

If that’s the case, shall it be called “King Bear Breathing Technique”?

That will do! Rein thought to himself.

[Ding! “King Bear Breathing Technique” has been successfully named, and the secret techniques related to the original Giant Bear Breathing Technique have also been adjusted accordingly.]

[The initial skill level of the “King Bear Breathing Technique” after fusion is lv5 (0/2000).]

“Thank goodness, the skill level of the new breathing technique remained at lv5,” Rein nodded.

As for the first statement—’the secret techniques related to the original Giant Bear Breathing Technique’, Rein knew this referred to the original secret skill “Roaring Strike.”

However, the losses were not small.

After the fusion, it consumed the experience of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique at level 5, which Rein had accumulated over several months since becoming a formal Knight.

From this aspect, it seems that skills like breathing techniques are the hardest to improve, even with the supplementation of refining blackwood oil, and it would still require years of hard training.

After the transformation was complete, Rein felt a stir in his heart.

He naturally wanted to quickly experience the differences between the new “King Bear Breathing Technique” and the previous Giant Bear Breathing Technique.

Therefore, while still in the seawater, Rein couldn’t help but stand on the seabed, practicing the first move of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique, standing on one leg in a lunge, arms raised parallel, and slowly coordinating with his breathing.

Very soon, Rein felt the differences.

Firstly, in terms of breathing, if it had been the original Giant Bear Breathing Technique, practicing underwater would have been impossible. Before, taking a deep breath underwater would likely have resulted in choking.

But the adapted and improved King Bear Breathing Technique allowed it.

At this moment, by utilizing external skin breathing, Rein was able to train in the new King Bear Breathing Technique even underwater, suggesting a possibility of practicing it anywhere.

At the same time, he could clearly feel a mysterious energy constantly circulating within him, as if a warm current, slightly strengthening in amplitude and speeding up as he practiced the King Bear Breathing Technique.

When Rein performed the second pose of the breathing technique, similar to a “Russian press,” he could keenly sense that the strengthening amplitude quickened a bit, and the circulation speed slightly increased again.

Interestingly, this mysterious energy, through its pace of travel, seemed to be indirectly guiding Rein, as if instructing and adjusting his current breathing technique posture.

To give an analogy, it was as if initially, Rein was practicing the “standard push-up,” but now, if he continued with the “standard push-up,” that mysterious energy would encounter resistance in its flow.

It would spontaneously guide Rein to spread his hands a bit wider, turning into a “wide-grip push-up” for training, and when Rein adjusted to a “wide-grip push-up,” the mysterious energy’s flow rate would increase.

Through this process, it seemed to tell Rein that this was presently the most efficient and suitable new breathing posture for him.

This made Rein extremely pleased.

At the same time, he could not help but admire the creator of the Inner Breathing Technique for being truly impressive!

To be able to slowly adjust a general-purpose breathing technique into a specialized breathing technique suitable for each individual through such a combination of internal and external breathing.

After Rein felt and operated the new King Bear Breathing Technique for a while, he suddenly recalled something Master Ganther had said before—”When you feel the energy within you, try to guide it into your sword!”

With a slight stir in his heart, Rein.
