Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 2065: Chapter 2067: The Qi Family’s Blessing

The father-son conversation ended, and Qi Taiguo knew well that his father’s decision was made and irremediable, so he said he would personally see them off to their hometown.

However, Qi Taiguo was still sullen, and Cheng Su, knowing his filial piety and seeing that there were many family members, took the opportunity to buy groceries and cook as an excuse to go to the market with him.

Qi Taiguo did not hide the conversation between him and Father Qi from Cheng Su. After listening, Cheng Su thought that her father-in-law was quite sensible.

”Since the elder has decided, and mother-in-law doesn’t object, whatever we say is useless.” Cheng Su pondered and said, ”Why not this, when Dad and Mom return to the hometown, we hire a nanny to take care of them?”

Qi Taiguo laughed and said, ”The hometown is not like the city. Besides, with Dad and Mom’s frugal nature, they definitely won’t agree. Dad always says he can still farm, walk and run, why would he need a nanny?” This is quite impractical.

”Whether they need one or not, we have to show consideration. If we cannot take care of them personally, we should find someone, right?” Cheng Su said, ”Not to mention, helping with household chores is feasible.”

”That’s up to you, but I bet they won’t hire one.” Qi Taiguo said, ”Rural folks can’t sit idle. If you make them inactive, they’re not used to it!”

That’s true. People who are used to being busy all their lives really cannot adjust to doing nothing.

Moreover, those who often work are actually healthier and live longer than those who are inactive. That’s a form of exercise.

Qi Taiguo held her hand and intertwined their fingers, saying, ”Dad said he did two right things in his life, one of which was selling me off by arranging our engagement, marrying you as my wife. I think he’s absolutely right.”

Cheng Su raised an eyebrow and said, ”What are you trying to say?”

”I’m saying, having you as my wife is my luck, and the fortune of the Qi family.” Qi Taiguo lifted her hand and kissed it.

Cheng Su sneered at him, ”Sweet talk comes so easily. What, while in Africa, did you practice with several ghost girls?”

”I don’t speak ghost talk.” Qi Taiguo scoffed, ”Besides, over there, people are all dark except for their white teeth, really eerie. At night, you can’t even see them.”

Cheng Su laughed. His description was quite vivid.

”Didn’t you say there was a medical team? I don’t buy that there wasn’t a single girl.”

Qi Taiguo replied, ”There was one, a female doctor.”

When Cheng Su heard the words ”female doctor,” her hair stood on end. She seemed to have a fateful connection with doctors, first with Chiang Qing, the military doctor, then meeting Song Jiaying, also a doctor, but a loyal one, and now hearing about another female doctor.

”Did you have any flirtations?” Cheng Su eyed him.

”How dare I! I took out your and Xiao Qi’s pictures to look at several times a day, almost had them pinned on my head. It’s just that doctor, she was quite admirable!” Qi Taiguo said, ”In the past, I mean long ago, I thought women managing the household and raising children were doing a great job. Later, your actions broke my perception and showed me that women can also hold up half the sky. Now, during this Aid Africa experience, I’ve met another strong woman, truly compassionate and skilled. Since then, I dare not underestimate women.”

Speaking of this, he didn’t wait for Cheng Su to interrogate him and narrated Lu Feiyun’s deeds.

Cheng Su was not surprised, as such people exist in every era and will be more prevalent in the future.

”The era of big women is gradually coming, and it will be more prevalent by the 21st century, you will see.” Cheng Su smiled as she walked ahead.

Qi Taiguo caught up, yes, he will witness its arrival alongside her.
