Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 2063: Chapter 2065: Blessings After Surviving Misfortune

Father Qi and Mother Qi chatted all night. Actually, by the end, Mother Qi didn’t need much convincing from Father Qi to have second thoughts, because this city was too frightening!

Originally, she thought she would come to the city to be a respectable city dweller, but unexpectedly, she felt out of place. First of all, the language barrier meant she couldn’t communicate, she couldn’t understand what many people here were saying, how could she engage?

Unable to make friends, she could only be alone. When going out, the city was too complicated, and she didn’t know how to take the bus, nor did she have like-minded elderly women to accompany her. So she stayed at home all day long.

People are social animals who need group activities. Staying home alone all the time can become boring and frustrating.

But, having come there, she wasn’t willing to admit that the old man was right.

Later, this mishap happened, which became the most terrifying nightmare of her life, something she would likely carry to the grave.

Therefore, regarding Father Qi’s suggestion, Mother Qi didn’t really oppose it. Additionally, observing Cheng Su’s demeanor from deep within, she couldn’t understand what was wrong with her daughter-in-law.

The next day, Qi Taiguo and the others arrived, and along with them came Qi Fengping who hurried to Guangcheng. Qi Jianguo also came, which meant the family was reunited, although it was unfortunate the setting was in a hospital, making it impossible to be happy.

The whole family accompanied Mother Qi for her medical checkup, forming a strong entourage that made other patients look at Mother Qi with envious eyes. Even the doctors and nurses praised her for having a blessed life, with devoted children, something no one could compare with.

Upon hearing this, Mother Qi’s recently anxious and alarmed heart felt a bit better. She boasted about her children’s accomplishments to everyone she met, garnering even more envy, filling her with pride again. Looking at her children beside her, she truly felt her life was quite blessed.

Comparing herself to her eldest sister, she felt even more fortunate.

...

During Mother Qi’s crisis, not only her children arrived, but Cheng Su’s parents also came to Guangcheng upon hearing the news to visit her first.

After Mother Qi was discharged and returned home, Cheng Su specially brought Xiao Qi back, and the house was filled with people.

Mother Cheng held Mother Qi’s hand, repeatedly saying every cloud has a silver lining, and went on to curse Chiang Qing’s ancestors.

”Dear in-law, that woman will meet a bad end. The suffering you’ve endured, she’ll experience a hundredfold even in hell. Isn’t it clear now? You’re better, and that woman is still half-dead lying in the hospital. Even if she recovers, she’s bound for prison, or worse.” Mother Cheng patted Mother Qi’s hand and pointed to the living room, saying: ”Look, your children are all around, you even have grandchildren. Jianguo and Little Ping are almost done with college and have good prospects. You, just wait to enjoy great blessings!”

”Thank you for your kind words!” Mother Qi sighed: ”I don’t ask for much, just that our whole family is safe and sound, and all together is good enough.”

”It will be, it will be. Every cloud has a silver lining!” Mother Cheng hurriedly said.

Father Qi then said: ”Once your mom no longer needs any medication changes for her hand, we’ll move back to the countryside.”

Cheng Su paused.

”Dad, you guys are...” Qi Taiguo was also surprised.

”The big city isn’t suitable for us, we don’t speak the language, it’s still better back home, the air is fresh, suitable for the elderly to live a healthy life. As for you, just come visit us when you have time!” Father Qi said with a smile: ”Your mom has agreed.”

Cheng Su looked at Mother Qi in astonishment; she looked back but quickly averted her gaze, not refuting Father Qi’s words.

Qi Taiguo and Cheng Su exchanged a glance; this was indeed quite sudden.
