The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1292: Chapter 1292: Nathalie: Oh, a spam phone call

However, Hendrik Zachmann was evidently persistent; just as she hung up the first call, Hendrik’s second call immediately followed.

It seemed as if he would continue calling unless she answered!

Nathalie Quinlan raised an eyebrow, curled her lips, licked her lips, picked up her phone again, and without hesitation, hung up, swiftly and bluntly sending Hendrik’s call to the blacklist.

The private room instantly became quiet.

Nathalie tossed her phone back onto the table, her delicate hand lifted the buckwheat tea from the table, placing it to her lips for a sip, appearing casual, her exquisite face betraying no unusual expression.

Stanley Zachmann only saw her end two calls, then placed the phone back down, breaking the silence, curiously asked her, ”Nathalie, who was calling?”

Nathalie glanced at him, her dark eyes calm, putting down her cup, her hand casually resting on her leg: ”A spam call.”

”Oh.”

Stanley Zachmann didn’t know those advertising spam calls could never reach Nathalie’s private phone, he automatically categorized Hendrik’s call as those marketing spam calls and didn’t inquire further.

Just then, the waiter served the dishes.

The waiter stepped to the side, hands held respectfully in front, courteously addressed those inside the private room: ”Hello, all your dishes have been served. Please enjoy.”

Amadeus Yancey, strikingly handsome, finally moved, lazily raising the buckwheat tea in front of him like Nathalie, took a sip, put the cup down, and told the waiter: ”You may leave. Kindly close the door behind you.”

The Imperial Hotel waiter didn’t dare delay, immediately responded, softly left, closing the private room door.

They waited for him to leave.

Only then did Amadeus Yancey lift his gaze, his eyes bright and clear, looked at the middle-aged man sitting opposite, politely said in a gentle voice: ”Uncle Zachmann, the Jade Sea Bass in front of you is quite good, please try it.”

”Ah, alright, alright.” Stanley Zachmann didn’t expect him to be so enthusiastic, even inviting him to taste the dish, felt somewhat uneasy, picked up the chopsticks from his bowl and tried a piece of fish.

Bass is more tender compared to other fish, and the craft of the Imperial Hotel chef is indeed remarkable! The steamed bass was drizzled with green seasoning, its color clear and bright, the fish tasting subtly sweet, not the spicy flavor, just the mild taste Stanley Zachmann preferred.

Upon tasting a dish to his liking, Stanley Zachmann’s eyebrows relaxed, his whole person became much more at ease, his back less tense than before.

Amadeus Yancey continued recommending several other dishes.

Stanley Zachmann tried them one by one.

Discovered Amadeus Yancey seemed to understand his taste very well, each dish recommended precisely matched his preferences, perfectly aligned with his taste.

Stanley Zachmann couldn’t help but loosen his brows, quickly developing a fondness for him.

In conversation, his tone less formal than in the beginning: ”Mr. Yancey, how come you and Nathalie are this familiar? Nathalie said she called you to pick us up, I was somewhat surprised, didn’t expect it to be you.”

The Zachmann Family and the Yancey Family had quite good relations.

Mainly due to the standing of the older generation, however, the younger generation didn’t interact frequently, he and Candice Yancey had almost no contact.

With Amadeus Yancey from a younger generation, contact was even less.

The only intersection was a year ago when they met once in McKinney, Stanley Zachmann recalled with sentiment now.

That day was the first time he saw Nathalie.

They were also dining at a Chinese restaurant, called Waterfront Pavilion, and Amadeus Yancey was there too.
